Pokemon - A real story

Coming towards Kingambit, it was a very valuable Pokemon. This was also one of the reasons why it was so rare to find. Even with the help of the royal family, they could only find 50 eggs of it.

It was due to its ability, 'Supreme overlord'. The ability states that the user's attack and special attack would increase with each ally Pokemon that has been defeated or slain.

The most interesting this about this ability was that there was no cap on the increase. The only cap on the increase would be the Pokemon's ability to handle the increase in power.

As one can see, this was the most disgusting ability specially for tide battles. The Pokemon was actually a new find for other regions because it was from Paldea region. Paldea had officially not become the major region till now. The process was still going on.

After the necessity of having the right Pokemon for tide battles as the world was expecting the tide battles to be the major thing in the future, the demand for the eggs of Kingambit increased exponentially. Also, the reproduction rate of these eggs was lower than that of normal Pokemons.

But this didn't mean that a trainer would become the king of tide battles by just having this Pokemon. No. Training this Pokemon was extremely hard. It was a warrior Pokemon like Scyther and it had a warrior mindset. If it didn't recognize the trainer, then it would not follow it.

Also, the mastery of 'Supreme overlord' was very hard and its progress was was very slow. A normal trainer could not train this Pokemon to what Axel had envisioned.

So, those 50 eggs were actually very high for Axel and his team. Before he give those eggs to the members of his team, he had to do a lot of tests for them and he could not give it to those that don't have a fighting aura or a good leadership qualities.

Axel was also thinking of getting one of those but he didn't want it right now. He had too much things on his plate and he wanted to see how a trainer trains this Pokemon first to get all the knowledge.

Since the Pokemon was from Paldea region, not much was known about it right now. Yet, Axel knew something like others. It was a Pokemon built for war.

The next Pokemon was Ditto. The only reason why Axel chose this Pokemon was due to its ability to 'Transform'. If trained well, the Pokemon could infiltrate a lot of places and gather a lot of information.

Turtonator was a weird choice but it had its uses. First of all, it was a fire/dragon type Pokemon. Being a part dragon type, the defense and power of the this Pokemon was very high. It was basically a tank.

Axel was surprised that the royal family would agree to send the egg of this Pokemon because dragon type Pokemon were not so easy to get. The reproduction of dragon type Pokemons were the lowest and it was hard to get their eggs.

There was a condition applied while getting those eggs. Those 30 Turtonators were actually very powerful and matured. They would be deciding if the trainer would get those eggs. This was a screening test that those Pokemons would do and only the worthy one would get the eggs.

The Pokemon was also very special as its shell could cause massive explosion. If this Pokemon was replaced for landmines then the initial damage of the tide battle would be very high and they would get a breathing chance when the battle starts.

Axel needed a good supply of poison type Pokemons and Weezing was definitely a good choice. It was a common Pokemon but its usefulness was not to be underestimated.

The reason Axel chose this Pokemon was cause he needed a large quantity of these Pokemons and Weezing reproduces at an alarming rate. Weezing was also one of the 2 Pokemon species that could use the move 'Explosion' and not get seriously injured by it.

The move 'Explosion' was a very powerful move but when a Pokemon uses it, the user would also suffer a lot of injuries and there was a good chance that they would be permanently injured.

But Weezing didn't need to follow this restriction. Its poison moves were also very powerful and it also had the ability 'Neutralizing gas' which would neutralize the abilities of all the Pokemons around it. That was a fucked up move if it was used in a good way.

Axel had come to realize that when focusing on tide battles and the Pokemon, abilities and hidden abilities would play a crucial role. Having a Pokemon that could neutralize those abilities was going to be very essential in tide battles.

Excadrill had 2 powerful abilities even though it could only have one of them. One was 'Sand force' which wold increase the power of ground, rock and steel type moves during the sandstorm and another one was that its speed woudl increase during the sandstorm.

Both of them were powerful abilities and it was also a very powerful ground/steel type Pokemon. It had a lot of defense and attack power. It's mastery of the moves like 'Dig' while using 'Sandstorm' could change the battle.

The reason for choosing Octillery was not so grand. He wanted to have another water type Pokemons cause he believed that they would have to fight battles at the sea too in the future. He had chosen Gastrodon but it was not going to be enough.

Octillery had good attack and special attack stats and its ability 'Suction cups' was interesting which would not let the opposing Pokemons to flee the battle.

Finally, Kilowattrel.

Axel had the eggs of Corviknight but the flying-type Pokemons were always very hard to deal with. Corviknight might be a tank that can take a lot of hits with so many resistances but Kilowattrel was a pure damage-type Pokemon.

It was a flying/electric type Pokemon. Since it was an electric type Pokemon, it could effectively deal with flying type Pokemons. It would able to able to deal with water type Pokemons when they would be battling in the sea.

The abilities and hidden abilities of this Pokemon were also very broken.

It had 2 abilities. The first one was called 'Wind power'. Kilowattrel was the only species to know this move. This ability would increase the power of an electric type move if it was hit by a flying-type move. That was going to be perfect when it was dealing with flying-type Pokemon.

The next ability was called 'Volt absorb' which would absorb any electric type move and heals the user. This was also a powerful move when dealing with electric type Pokemon.

Finally, the hidden ability 'Competitive' which would increase the special attack of the user if it was hit by a stat lowering move.

All of these Pokemons were going to be essential in the tide battles. Axel felt that when these Pokemons reach pseudo-king rank, he would increase the difficulty to normal which would decrease his punishment when he finishes the main mission.

Axel was actually very tempted to get Weezing and Kingambit's egg. They were very powerful for tide battles.

But this would have to wait. He still had to do a lot of things and raise a lot of Pokemon. He still had to think about competing in other regions, so he could not directly get the eggs.

But Kingambit and Weezing were only going to be used in tide battles. He was not going to use them in gym battles. So, Axel felt that it was okay to get them now.

"Mr. Human, I want to know how the Pokemons will be raised here.", said Axel.

"Well, that is a long discussion and it might take a whole day if you want to know how we do it.", said Mr. Gora.

"Its okay. I have time but since the eggs would be arriving soon, why don't we have this discussion after the eggs are received?", asked Axel.

"That would be great, Mr. Axel.", said Mr. Human.

They had some snacks as Axel and Noah had not eaten anything since the morning and the eggs arrived after a couple of hours.

There were massive trucks that entered the day care and they looked very professional. Gora, Kala and Ganga took really good care of those eggs and they were safely transported to the respective buildings.

Gora took sometime as he had to examine the eggs and also make sure that everything was okay. After a couple of hours, Gora, Kala and Ganga were finally free and now they were in a meeting room with Axel.

Noah had decided to go home.

Axel was surprised that the notification from the system had yet not arrived. He was not worry about it as he knew that some hidden requirements were left to be activated and it would happen soon enough.

"Sir, what do you want to know about?"

"I want to know the whole process of day care, how the eggs are treated. What are the ways to make the babies better and stronger? How the Pokemons selected for breeding would be treated and what should we do to have better potential eggs?

And finally about the training. What can you do to improve the training and the powers of Pokemons? You guys are breeders. So, obviously, you might have some idea about it."

"Sir, let me get you through the process. First of all, the eggs are regularly examined. The reason we do this is to monitor the progress of these eggs and also see if there are any irregularities in the eggs.

Also, there are some instances where the Pokemon inside the eggs would develop egg moves. If we can simulate the right environment, then there is a chance that the Pokemon could learn the egg move that we desire. Like 'Draco meteor' for dragon type Pokemons.

And the main reason we research and monitor eggs is due to abilities and hidden abilities."

"What about them?"

"Some of the Pokemons have multiple abilities but they could only have one of them. Let's take the example of Kilowattrel.

It had 2 abilities. 'Wind power' and 'Volt absorb'. If you want your Pokemon to have 'Wind power' as its ability, not 'Volt absorb', we can do that through our research.

"Really? Such a thing is possible?", asked Axel.

"Not entirely. Most of it would depend on the parent itself. The research on such a thing is not fully complete cause there are a lot of Pokemons and all of them have different properties and nature.

But it can be done. Actually, the focus of my research is based on changing the abilities, egg moves, and hidden abilities as per our wish.", said Gora.

This had opened a realm of possibilities for Axel. There were some abilities that he wanted from these Pokemons and Gora could make it happen then Axel was going to be a happy young man.

He would save a lot of resources if that were to happen.

Kala straightened his posture and then spoke.

"Then comes how we raise a Pokemon for breeding. This is a universal fact that after reaching rare rank, the fertility rate of Pokemon starts to decrease as it moves up the rank.

Most of the Pokemon's fertility rate reaches zero when they reach champion rank but there are obviously some exceptions. So, most of the time Pokemon of elemental rank and pseudo-king rank are used for breeding cause it is the best of both worlds."

"Best of both worlds?"

"Yes sir. There is a higher chance that the new child would have better potential, and higher chances of having more egg moves if the parent is of higher rank. But when a Pokemon reaches a higher rank, their fertility rate starts to decrease.

The fertility rate of a female Pokemon has more impact on reproduction than the male Pokemon does.

So, normally we use elemental rank and pseudo-king rank Pokemons for breeding.

Coming to the nutrition that a Pokemon requires, we monitor and examine them from time to time. When a Pokemon is born, the types of nutrition required are basic for most of the Pokemons with a few exceptions.

The most vital thing for the growth of a Pokemon is actually its nature. If the nature of the Pokemon is cultivated properly then the Pokemon would rise up to the ranks and unlike us humans, the nature of a Pokemon is very difficult to change."
