To demonstrate his skill, Ash immediately sent Pikachu into battle. Following his trainer's command, Pikachu eagerly dashed onto the field.

"How did things escalate so quickly?" Misty exclaimed, caught off guard by the sudden turn of events. The battle was about to begin before she could even process what was happening.

"With Ash, nothing should surprise you anymore," Brock commented calmly, carefully observing the battlefield. Since things had already progressed this far, he decided to simply enjoy the match.

"Will he be okay? My brothers and their Pokémon are really strong," Mikey said worriedly as he stood beside them.

Since childhood, Mikey had been taught that Pokémon become stronger after evolution. Although he personally didn't want his Eevee to evolve, he never openly opposed his three older brothers' beliefs.

That's why when Ash sent out Pikachu, Mikey worried whether the Electric-type could handle his brothers' evolved Pokémon.

Of course, he hoped Ash would win. If that happened, maybe his brothers would stop pressuring him to make Eevee evolve.

"Don't worry, Ash is incredibly strong!" Misty reassured him confidently. After traveling with Ash for so long, she knew what he was capable of. Seeing Mikey's concerned expression, she felt compelled to ease his worries.

Hearing Misty's words, Mikey's anxiety diminished slightly. He turned his attention back to the battlefield. At that moment, the hot-headed third brother, Pyro, stepped forward.

"Brother Sparky said I could go first! Let's go, Flareon!" Pyro announced, sending out his Fire-type Pokémon. Among Eevee's three evolved forms present, Flareon possessed the strongest attack power, while Vaporeon had the best defense, and Jolteon was the fastest.

Pyro, who loved Fire-types, had a personality as fiery as his Pokémon. Sparky, the eldest, didn't stop him from going first. He also wanted to use this opportunity to gauge Ash's strength.

"Flareon, use Fire Spin!" Pyro commanded, immediately launching a fierce offensive. Following its trainer's order, Flareon opened its mouth and released a stream of intense flames that formed a spiraling vortex heading straight for Pikachu.

"Pikachu, Agility!" Ash instructed calmly. From the first move, he could already read Pyro's battle style—straightforward and aggressive without many tactical nuances.

Hearing Ash's command, Pikachu sprang into action. His body flickered as he darted left and right. The Fire Spin passed through where he had been standing, cleverly avoided thanks to Pikachu's increased speed.

"What?" Pyro gasped, surprised by the evasion.

"It's so fast!" Sparky and Rainer exclaimed from behind, clearly impressed.

"Fast? You haven't seen true speed yet! Pikachu, Quick Attack!" Ash called out. He had been merely testing them until now. After seeing their reactions, he had a good idea of their skill level and decided to go on the offensive.

Pikachu didn't hesitate. While Flareon was still processing what happened, Pikachu used the momentum from Agility to execute a powerful Quick Attack.

Wham!

A silver light flashed as Pikachu slammed directly into Flareon with astonishing force. The Fire Spin was instantly disrupted, and Flareon was knocked backward by the impact.

"Flareon! Hang in there and use Fire Fang!" Pyro ordered quickly, watching his Pokémon struggle.

Being an evolved Pokémon, Flareon wouldn't go down easily. It gritted its teeth and steadied itself, heat radiating from its body. Then it lunged toward Pikachu, flames erupting from its mouth to form fiery fangs ready to bite down on the Electric-type.

"Use Iron Tail!" Ash countered.

Hearing his trainer's command, Pikachu launched a counterattack. His tail gleamed with metallic luster as he twisted his body and swung it toward the oncoming Flareon.

Crash!

Flareon's sharp teeth clamped down on Pikachu's tail. The power from both moves collided, creating a shockwave that burst outward. Their special moves were deadlocked, with Pikachu unable to withdraw his tail from Flareon's bite.

"Got you!" Pyro exclaimed triumphantly.

"Is that so? Pikachu, Electro Ball!" Ash smirked. He had handled situations like this countless times and wasn't worried at all. Upon hearing the command, Pikachu's eyes narrowed in concentration. Electricity surged through his tail, instantly forming a golden sphere of energy.

Thunder and lightning intertwined with flames, creating an unstable energy reaction.

BOOM!

An explosion erupted, instantly filling the area with smoke that covered the center of the battlefield. Both Pikachu and Flareon were thrown back by the blast.

However, since the Electro Ball had formed closer to Flareon, the Fire-type took the brunt of the explosion. Meanwhile, Pikachu's Iron Tail had helped block most of the blast's impact.

Flareon crashed to the ground while Pikachu somersaulted through the air before landing safely. Neither could see the other through the thick smoke that now separated them.

"Pikachu, Splishy Splash!" Ash commanded.

"Pika! Pika!"

Responding immediately, Pikachu charged forward and leaped into the air, his body enveloped in electricity. The ground beneath cracked open, releasing a surge of water. Pikachu descended amid this electrical display.

Splash!

As Pikachu landed on the waves, the electricity surrounding him coursed directly into the water. The current spread throughout the entire wave as it crashed forward.

In such a wide-ranging attack, even with smoke obscuring visibility, Flareon would still be caught within the attack's range.

"You've got to be kidding! Pikachu can use Water-type moves?" Pyro shouted in disbelief, horrified that an Electric-type could employ such techniques.

"Flareon, get out of the way!" Pyro yelled desperately. The Fire-type raised its head to see the overwhelming wave approaching. Its expression changed to one of panic. Hearing its trainer's command, it wanted to escape but quickly realized there was nowhere to run.

If Flareon could speak, it probably would have cried, "How exactly am I supposed to dodge this?"

CRASH!

In the end, Flareon couldn't escape the massive wave. When the water crashed down, the Fire-type was completely engulfed.

Simultaneously, the electricity coursing through the water delivered a powerful shock to Flareon, causing it to endure both the Water-type damage and an Electric-type attack simultaneously.

The dual assault left the Fire-type Pokémon in tremendous pain.
