Chapter 59: The Demonic Sea
Suddenly, Kang Woo reconstituted himself, his form emerging from the swirling darkness like a demon reborn.
Dormammu, his towering form trembling with rage, bellowed, "Give me back half of my body!"
Kang Woo stood in the center of the chaos, his crimson eyes glinting with an eerie calm. A swirling mass of power formed in his left hand—a vortex of black and violet energy that pulsed with the combined might of Space Between Time and the devoured fragments of the Dark Dimension itself.
"You want it back?" Kang Woo's voice was sharp and cutting, his smirk devoid of humor. "Come and take it."
With a swift motion, he hurled the ball of energy toward Dormammu. The sphere expanded as it moved, consuming the fabric of reality around it. Dormammu raised his massive hands, summoning an equally immense barrier of dark energy to block the attack. The collision sent shockwaves rippling outward, tearing through the twisted landscape of the Dark Dimension.
Kang Woo didn't wait for the dust to settle. He surged forward like a meteor, wielding Chaos Excalibur in one hand and leaving trails of raw, destructive energy in his wake. Dormammu barely had time to react as Kang Woo slashed through his defenses, the blade cleaving entire chunks of Dormammu's essence.
"You dare challenge me in my own realm?!" Dormammu roared, his massive form regenerating instantly as he counterattacked, launching beams of violet energy from his core.
Kang Woo deflected them effortlessly with the flat of Chaos Excalibur, the energy blasts careening off into the distance and annihilating anything in their path. "This realm is mine now," Kang Woo replied coldly, his blade glowing ominously as he lunged forward again.
The two clashed repeatedly, their battle transcending the boundaries of the Dark Dimension. Each strike from Kang Woo tore through Dormammu's colossal form, scattering fragments of his essence into the void. Dormammu retaliated with devastating attacks, ripping apart the dimension itself in an attempt to crush Kang Woo.
But Kang Woo was relentless. He used Space Between Time to dodge Dormammu's attacks with precision, appearing behind the dark entity in an instant and driving Chaos Excalibur into his back. The blade's reality-warping properties sent ripples through Dormammu's essence, further destabilizing him.
"Enough!" Dormammu bellowed, summoning the entirety of his strength. The Dark Dimension itself seemed to coalesce around him as he unleashed a cataclysmic wave of energy. The force was so immense that it tore both Kang Woo and Dormammu out of the Dark Dimension, flinging them into the multiverse.
Their battle continued across galaxies. Each clash of their powers annihilated entire star systems, leaving trails of destruction in their wake. Dormammu attempted to regenerate and retaliate, but Kang Woo's relentless assault left him no room to recover.
In one galaxy, Kang Woo used Authority of Blades to summon a storm of swords that rained down upon Dormammu, piercing his form repeatedly. In another, he unleashed Authority of Explosion, causing stars to implode and engulf Dormammu in their fiery demise. Despite the overwhelming force, Dormammu managed to survive, his form battered but unbroken.
"Why… won't you die?!" Dormammu growled, his voice trembling with frustration and fear.
The universe trembled under the might of Kang Woo as his berserk state raged on, with Myriad Demon Palace's First Door fully opened. Chaos Excalibur burned with incomprehensible energy, infused with the King of Chaos's power, the Dark Dimension's essence, and the terrifying abilities of Anos Voldigoad, now reaching 30% of its full potential after consuming half of Dormammu's existence and the Dark Dimension.
Kang Woo's crimson eyes gleamed with unrelenting madness as he unleashed Gilieriam Naviem, a spell born from Anos Voldigoad's most destructive arsenal. The spell's terrifying power combined the chaotic, reality-warping nature of the King of Chaos, the timeless distortion of the Dark Dimension, and the destructive might of Gilieriam Naviem itself. Each step Kang Woo took resonated with cataclysmic force, tearing apart galaxies and altering the fabric of existence itself.
Dormammu roared, his immense form regenerating only to be annihilated repeatedly. Each clash of Kang Woo's condensed destructive magic killed Dormammu thousands of times, only for the ruler of the Dark Dimension to revive within the same moment. The endless cycle of destruction and regeneration turned the battle into a nightmarish spectacle, the echoes of Dormammu's despair rippling through the multiverse.
The AOE effects of Gilieriam Naviem were catastrophic. Multiple universes were obliterated in the wake of Kang Woo's power. Planets crumbled into cosmic dust, stars imploded, and the very concept of time in those regions unraveled. Multiversal observers like Uatu the Watcher could do nothing but silently bear witness to the carnage, their attempts to interfere rendered meaningless.
Dormammu's voice trembled, his form flickering as he reappeared once more after being destroyed. "You… you are a demon of madness. This power… it shouldn't exist!"
Kang Woo, unmoved by the devastation surrounding him, stepped forward with unrelenting focus. The energy surrounding him grew heavier, denser, and even more destructive. Each step he took further destabilized the multiverse, the sheer weight of his Gilieriam Naviem collapsing stars and warping entire realms into oblivion.
Despite his endless revivals, Dormammu's fear was evident. The once-arrogant ruler of the Dark Dimension, who had boasted of being untouchable, now trembled at the hands of a force beyond comprehension.
"Enough of this! You… you will destroy everything!" Dormammu bellowed, desperation creeping into his voice.
Kang Woo was now covered in a grotesque mix of black and red flame-like goo, the remnants of Dormammu's blood clinging to him like a vile stain. Yet, he ignored it, his expression a mixture of anger and disdain.
"This is not my fault!" Kang Woo roared, his voice echoing with an authority that shook the very fabric of existence. "IT'S YOUR FAULT! IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT ICHIGO'S CORPSE IS STUCK IN THE DARK DIMENSION! IT'S YOUR FAULT YOU PICKED A FIGHT WHILE I WAS MOURNING SOMEONE! AND FINALLY, IT'S YOUR FAULT YOU FORCED ME OPENED ONE OF MY DOORS !"
With that, Kang Woo deactivated his three combination abilities subconsciously, yet the Myriad Demon Palace remained active, its power coursing through him like an unstoppable current. Chaos Excalibur still pulsed in his hand, brimming with destructive energy. Kang Woo raised the blade and slashed it downward, the sheer force of the strike cracking space and time itself.
The blow sent Dormammu hurtling across the multiverse like a massive ball of dark energy. He plummeted into a new reality, crashing onto the street outside Futamichi Café in Makima's world. The impact sent shockwaves through the area, shaking the café violently but miraculously leaving it largely intact.
When the energy finally dissipated, Dormammu's form was smaller, human-sized, but unmistakable. His face retained the dark, shimmering texture of his cosmic essence, glowing faintly with cracks of violet energy coursing through him. His body was visibly battered, wounds etched across his figure, and black ichor seeped from deep gashes, as if the Dark Dimension itself was bleeding through him. His once-overwhelming aura now flickered weakly, though even in this diminished state, his presence remained oppressive.
Moments later, Kang Woo descended with a thunderous impact, creating a small crater on the street. His appearance had grown even more menacing—his sclera now entirely black, devoid of pupils, and his oppressive aura suffocating the very air around him. Chaos Excalibur glinted in his hand, the blade pulsating with a chaotic mixture of destructive energies.
Kang Woo stepped out of the crater, his voice cold and cutting as he stared down at Dormammu. "Anything else, Dormammu? Other than your pathetic power from the Dark Dimension?"
Dormammu staggered slightly but straightened, his fractured form glowing faintly as he glared at Kang Woo. "You… you dare insult me after this?!"
Meanwhile, inside Futamichi Café, the tension was palpable as the inhabitants watched Kang Woo's dramatic descent.
Pingtsi, one of Quanxi's devil fiends, trembled as she clung to Quanxi's arm. Her voice cracked with terror. "Mistress Quanxi… that man… he shouldn't be here. The Control Devil… when she said no primal devil could harm him… she wasn't lying. Look at his eyes… he's a menace to the world itself."
Himeno, seated with Aki, observed Kang Woo through the window . Her brow furrowed, and her voice carried an edge of concern. "Aki… are Kang Woo's eyes darker than usual? He doesn't even have pupils anymore…"
Aki remained silent, his expression unreadable, though his thoughts churned. I have to remind myself… Kang Woo is a Demon King. By default, he's the final enemy of the world.
Across the room, Kishibe glanced toward Makima, silently demanding an explanation with his piercing gaze.
Makima, however, sat frozen in her seat, tears welling in her yellow-ringed eyes. In her thoughts, a storm of regret churned. I made a mistake. A fatal mistake. Too many times, I ignored the signs. Kang Woo hides his grief… his anger… so well. I should have comforted him when I saw the tear in his eye and the blood flowing as he activated his Almighty to defend me against Prime Minister Kentaro, using his sheer intimidation. Instead, I treated everything as an eternal adventure—a selfish pursuit of fun by his side.
Makima stood abruptly, her tears streaming down her cheeks. She made a series of precise hand seals, her power crackling around her. With a sudden burst of space matter warp, she tore down one of the café walls and bolted toward Kang Woo, her heart racing with determination.
But just as she reached him, Kang Woo's berserk state intensified. The second door of Myriad Demon Palace opened, and in an instant, reality itself warped. Everyone across the multiverse—whether mortal, devils , god, or otherwise—found themselves submerged in a horrifying red sea. The water reeked of demonic essence and was littered with floating, mutilated demonic corpses. It was as if they had been thrust into the inner sanctum of a demonic apocalypse.
Makima's vision locked onto Kang Woo, who now hovered ominously in the blood-red sky, three massive doors floating behind him. Dormammu struggled in mid-air, choking as Kang Woo gripped him effortlessly with one hand. The weight of the scene was suffocating.
In the blink of an eye, the horrifying red sea vanished. Everyone found themselves back in their original locations, disoriented and shaken.
Quanxi was the first to speak, her voice uneasy. "Did… did we just lose something? Why can't I remember anything that just happened?"
Makima, standing near the street outside Futamichi Café, trembled slightly as she wiped away the last of her tears. Her yellow-ringed eyes scanned the area near the crater, her thoughts racing. It wasn't just a hallucination. I'm the only one who remembers… for a split second, we were all inside Kang Woo's inner world.
She closed her eyes, attempting to sense Kang Woo's energy, but it was as if he had vanished entirely. A deep sigh escaped her lips as she steadied herself. Should I use my full control ability ? Should I borrow the every eyes and ears of rats and birds again? But… I know Kang Woo. When he disappears, he truly disappears. Her thoughts flickered back to the vivid image of the red sea, Kang Woo hovering in the air, choking Dormammu, and the ominous three doors behind him.
Her musings were interrupted by a soft, hesitant voice. "Makima… here." Kobeni stood nearby, clutching a worn, metal lunchbox in her trembling hands. She extended it toward Makima nervously.
Makima raised an eyebrow, her voice calm but sharp. "What's this?"
Kobeni took a shaky breath. "It's… it's the Tesseract. The Space Stone."
Makima's sharp gaze turned to the mundane-looking lunchbox. "You covered it with this?" she asked, her tone a mix of disbelief and curiosity.
Suddenly, Reze stepped forward, her expression slightly sheepish. "It was me," she admitted, scratching the back of her head. "My instincts told me not to touch it with my bare hands. So, I figured… a lunchbox might work."
Makima's expression softened slightly, and she gave a small nod. "Wise decision," she said, her voice quieter, almost reflective. She held the lunchbox in her hands, sensing the immense power of the Space Stone within. Even now, with Kang Woo gone, remnants of his items remain.
Inside Futamichi Café, Aki stood at the shattered window, staring up at the sky. The once-solid reality above them now looked like fractured glass, splintering and threatening to collapse. This is bad, he thought, his usual stoic demeanor giving way to a rare moment of unease. Without hesitation, he moved toward Makima.
"Ms. Makima," Aki said firmly, his voice cutting through the tension. "I think you better hurry with finding Kang Woo. The sky—it's falling apart."
Makima didn't glance at the sky. She simply nodded, her yellow-ringed eyes locked on the Space Stone in her hands. I know very well what's happening. But this… it's more than that. Kang Woo is inside his inner world. It's like his consciousness itself has retreated. Only he can break through the multiverse with his bare hands, but all I have is this Space Stone. Her thoughts churned as she contemplated her next move. Maybe my usual way of solving problems isn't enough this time.
She took a deep breath, her resolve hardening. Making a series of intricate hand seals, she activated her warp space matter magic, creating a shimmering barrier around herself and Kobeni. Kobeni's eyes widened in realization. She knew exactly what this meant—she would be accompanying Makima on this perilous journey to find Kang Woo.
Makima slipped her Infinity Sling Ring onto her fingers, her expression cold and focused. She opened the lunchbox and held the Tesseract with her bare hand. Blue arcs of energy crackled violently around her, the power of the Space Stone threatening to overwhelm even someone of her immense strength. But Makima stood firm.
Makima turned her head slightly ,Just before activating the energy to teleport , her sharp gaze falling on Kishibe and Quanxi. A smirk tugged at her lips, and she said, "I haven't answered your question, have I? About what happened to me when I went with Kang Woo? It's simple, really. I just want to catch up to him. To be the most ideal first wife. And, lastly… to make him mine."
Before either of them could respond, Makima activated the combined power of the Sling Ring and the Tesseract. The blue energy erupted, enveloping both her and Kobeni in a brilliant glow before they vanished into a swirling vortex.
Inside the café, Himeno let out a wistful sigh, leaning against Aki. "I'm jealous, Aki," she said, her tone half-teasing, half-sincere. "Makima and Kobeni get to go on these insane adventures across worlds whenever Kang Woo does something crazy. Meanwhile, we're stuck here dealing with the aftermath."
Aki's gaze remained on the fractured sky. "Maybe we should be grateful," he muttered. "The more we're involved, the closer we are to getting caught in the crossfire."
Himeno smirked, lightly elbowing him. "Still, wouldn't it be fun? Just once?"
Aki's silence was his answer, his thoughts consumed by the looming chaos Kang Woo had left behind.

Makima and Kobeni stood at the edge of an otherworldly expanse, their gazes fixed on the churning sea before them. The crimson waters stretched endlessly in every direction, waves surging like molten lava, glowing faintly with a fiery, blood-red hue. Towering spires of dark energy rose like jagged monoliths from the sea, crackling with chaotic, demonic power. The air was heavy, oppressive, as if the weight of countless tormented souls lingered just out of reach.( img here)
The sky above them was a swirling vortex of crimson and black, streaked with golden lightning that illuminated the chaotic sea below. In the distance, galaxies seemed to twist and warp within the vortex, as though the entire fabric of reality was unraveling and converging upon this nightmarish realm. The roar of the waves carried an eerie, guttural resonance, as if they echoed the screams of a million lost voices.
Kobeni's voice trembled as she broke the silence. "Makima… what is this place?"
Makima, her composure steady despite the horrifying scene, narrowed her eyes as she scanned the horizon. "I don't know for certain," she admitted, her voice calm but laced with caution. "But I have a theory. This isn't just a sea—it's a realm. Or perhaps… another universe entirely."
Kobeni blinked, clutching her arms tightly. "But we didn't sink… It's like we're walking on it, yet it's endless."
Makima nodded, her gaze sharp. " You're right kobeni-chan , When I used the Sling Ring to trace Kang Woo, I expected to find him, but instead, we've arrived here. And this—" she gestured to the swirling vortex in the distance—"this matches what I saw earlier. While all of you forgot, I remembered… the Sea of Red and that vortex. That must be where Kang Woo is."
Kobeni shivered, glancing nervously at the endless waves. "It feels… alive. Like it's watching us."
Makima didn't respond immediately, her focus shifting to the distant vortex. Her instincts told her that whatever lay ahead, it was far beyond anything they'd encountered before. "Stay close to me, Kobeni," she said, her tone firm. "We don't know what lurks in these waters—or what's waiting for us at the center of that vortex."
