Chapter 246: CHAPTER 246-Kaido’s Wrath and the Gorosei’s Plan
"The Gorosei?"
King, Queen, and the others instantly turned pale.
They never expected the Five Elders to appear in a place like this—much less speak such absurd words.
"The Gorosei… Are you joking?"
Kaido, hovering in midair, let out a cruel laugh, his expression twisted.
"The Navy is your dog, and yet you say you want to kill the same person? What's this, a trap? You're planning to use yourself as bait to lure me in, then ambush me?"
Kaido roared with laughter, feral and savage.
"I may hate using my brain, but that doesn't mean I don't have one."
"You've underestimated me, Gorosei."
"Still… if you want to fight, then come. I won't be as foolish as before, letting Doflamingo distract me. Next time that brat drops a meteor—I'll blast it to dust!"
His voice boomed like thunder across the sky.
Kaido's blood-red eyes suddenly turned and locked on Doflamingo. A surge of killing intent erupted.
With a violent twist, his colossal body dove straight toward him.
"You damn clown! If it weren't for you distracting me, that brat wouldn't have landed a hit! I told you—I'm going to kill you!"
Doflamingo's face turned ashen.
He hadn't wanted to come here in the first place—he feared this exact moment, becoming Kaido's scapegoat.
Unfortunately, before he could object, Ish had already teleported them all.
Now, faced with Kaido's thunderous rage, Doflamingo completely lost his composure.
Bang!
Yamamoto's katana flashed from its sheath, clashing with Kaido's kanabō in midair.
The violent shockwave exploded outward.
The already broken ship couldn't withstand the force—it shattered completely.
King and Queen tensed up immediately.
This was their last ship.
If it was destroyed too…
They'd be stranded.
"Kaido! Enough!" Yamamoto's voice rang out in fury.
"Whatever grudge you have with Doflamingo—let it go, for the sake of the Gorosei."
"As for why we want to put down this dog…"
His gaze grew colder.
"If a dog shows signs of biting its master… does it deserve to live?"
"We only need a dog that's obedient—and easy to control."
Kaido's face clouded.
This sudden reasoning caught him by surprise.
But a moment later, he erupted in laughter again.
"Haha! You're right—if you can't have it, destroy it. That's how the strong operate!"
"In that case, let's go. Let's storm their base and cut that brat down!"
With a thunderous roar, Kaido launched into the air once more.
But Yamamoto appeared before him like a shadow, blocking his path.
"Kaido," he said coldly, "I can't intervene openly. If I do, the Navy may never accept my orders again."
"So—to guarantee success, I need you to set a real trap. Only then can we be sure this ends in death."
Yamamoto's voice was steady and grim.
Kaido and Doflamingo paused.
Only now did they realize the scale of Yamamoto and the Gorosei's scheme.
Only something like this… could truly be called a death trap.
Kaido's expression was furious, but remembering the humiliation he'd suffered at Luoyu's hands, he clenched his jaw and nodded.
He knew one thing: if he went head-to-head with Luoyu again, and lost because of one moment of stupidity—he'd never forgive himself.
To truly kill Luoyu and vent his rage—
This trap was their best chance.
"Good. If you have no objections, let's move."
Yamamoto calmly sheathed his sword.
Seeing the deal sealed, Doflamingo finally let out a breath of relief.
A flicker of excitement danced in his eyes.
Thinking back on Yamamoto's plan… in Doflamingo's view, this was as close to guaranteed success as it gets.
If even this couldn't take that brat down—he might as well cut off his own head and use it as a chair.
Three Days Later – Aftermath of the War
The entire New World trembled.
Factions everywhere were stunned.
Two of the Four Emperors had been defeated.
Whitebeard had even offered himself up for death—openly, before the world.
The Navy's reputation soared to new heights. And with it, the Fourth Admiral—Luoyu the Gluttonous—was thrust into the spotlight.
Until now, the Navy's top three had always been led by Akainu, Sakazuki.
But now, with Luoyu's meteoric rise—and his feats of sinking Kaido and slaying Whitebeard—he was recognized as the most powerful of the Four Admirals.
In some places, children were told:
"Be good, or Gluttonous Luoyu will come for you."
Among pirates, the name alone inspired dread.
If even two Emperors couldn't stand against him—what chance did they have?
The old balance—between the Seven Warlords, the Four Emperors, and the Navy—was broken.
In its place stood the Four Admirals, with Luoyu's presence elevating the Navy's strength to terrifying new levels.
As tides shifted, whispers spread like wildfire across the Grand Line:
"The Pirate Era is entering a long, bitter winter."
Meanwhile – Totto Land, Cake Island
In the grand palace of Cake Island, the headquarters of the Big Mom Pirates, a high-level meeting was underway.
All her ministers were gathered.
At the head of them stood the Four Sweet Commanders.
Charlotte Perospero, the eldest son, licked a lollipop and chuckled as he stepped forward.
"Mama, these past three days… rumors of a 'pirate winter' have terrified many crews. Afraid the Navy would start a purge, they've fled to our territory, begging to join us."
"I counted—seventy-eight pirate crews. More than half of them have bounties over 100 million."
"If we absorb them all, our strength will rise dramatically."
"And once we devour what's left of the Red-Hair Pirates and Whitebeard's remnants…"
He grinned with twisted satisfaction.
"The Big Mom Pirates won't just rule the New World—we'll rule all the seas. At that point, even going to war with the Navy won't scare us."
His voice echoed across the vast chamber.
The ministers around him beamed with excitement.
But before they could respond—
A chilling voice rang out:
"No… this is a sign of great disaster."
