Chapter 15: HUE
Forthwith, a dim auroral glow, reminiscent of a gargantuan glass mirror, materialized, curtailing the searing beams.
The impact shattered the translucent force fields, yet leaving not a single trace of shrapnel nor debris.
Adorned in neon, a latex combat gear, dark as onyx with symmetrical turquoise lines, shimmering with intrigue when charged by the cosmic energy of the mysterious xeno-human.
The entire vicinity was enchanted with a glittery violet hue, entrancing the senses.
A soft grin was etched across her rosy lips, identity obscured by an aluminum mask, shielding the upper half of her face from prying infrared lenses.
Hitherto, she unleashed a physic assault, harnessing an arcane blast, reminiscent of her xeno counterpart, Phantom.
The sonic disruptive shockwaves wreaked chaos, shattering bulletproof glass and windscreens, flinging cars and assailants over, like mere playthings.
The enemy retreated in cowardice, their eardrums, ruptured, their hurting bodies, battered.
In the interim, the Quantum physicist turned around in a futile attempt to restrain his newfound adversary, but somehow, Viper had mysteriously vanished, leaving not a glimpse of clues.
"Bummer!" he muttered beneath his breath.
"Thanks a lot, now he's gotten away."
The heroine squinted at Phantom, her glaring night vision lenses, attuned to her orbital motions.
"Uhh.. you're welcome?" she shrugged, her curvaceous voluptuousness, revealed in her latex tights.
"I don't mean to criticize your efforts, but I already had him.
I specifically did not ask for your help, you know?" his words, carrying on the weight of frustration.
"How rude! Ughh..
Goodbye," the heroine sighed, rolling her eyes in disgust and zoomed off into the distance at supersonic pace, her violet hues, flickering through the night.
Phantom shrugged and vehemently chased after her, his glittery azure hues, twinkling in the dark.
Maintaining equal pace with her, the scientist babbled an apology.
"Hey, that came out wrong," his words were punctuated by his exasperated gasps but the mystery woman's reply was silence.
"All I mean to say is.. I'm sorry?"
"You're welcome, Phantom," she finally broke the silence, summersaulting over over a ten footed facility with a single bounce.
"You.. know me?" Ron seemed quite astonished behind the mask.
"I mean, who doesn't?
The whole world watched you phase through a dinosaur," she whispered, drifting off the next turn, accelerating downhill.
"I don't mean to pry but.. who are you?" his curiosity was piqued, sprinted downhill in perfect sync with his counterpart.
"Call me Hue!" the heroine retorted, bluntly.
"Pleasure to meet a fellow superhero, Hue. I mean.. I barely saw one my entire life, let alone one with a pretty face."
"I'm no superhero, I'm only xeno-human.. just like you.
Besides, you've never set eyes on my face, have ya?
Why you so sure I'm pretty?
Can't see behind my aluminum mask, can ya?" her raspy cadence was melody to his ears.
"Well, your nectarous lips do seem awfully familiar," the phaser flirted, moonsaulting over an embassy at hypersonic pace.
"I bet you say that to all the girls," Hue giggled.
"You must be a great kisser, too," her words aroused a naughty smirk across the face of the scientist.
Both xeno-humans diverted from the narrow streets, leaping in synchrony and flashing through the city in a harmonious display of light.
Decelerating elegantly, atop a towering mast that stretched into the heavens, piercing the misty veil.
"I'm about to retreat to my base," her whispery cadence carried on the wind.
"You coming?" she added, a soft grin illuminating her countenance.
Concurrently, Hue's words transported the scientist to the recesses of his mind, unlocking the fragments of his past from his cerebrum.
The fuzzy memories of an absurdly designed flyer, resurfaced, the words, imprinted in italics.
"MIDNIGHT RAVE!"
Phantom gasped back to reality with a grin from ear to ear.
"I knew you sounded a bit too familiar.
How could I forget what those lips taste like," he pondered, unmasking.
"Are you insane?" Hue protested.
"Do you realize how dangerous it is, revealing your alter ego to strangers?"
Astonishingly, the heroine's mulling over secret identities froze, interrupted by the breathtaking gorgeousness of Ron Ramon.
"Screw me!" she gasped in bewilderment.
"Where?" his sarcasm was piqued.
Hue unmasked, as well, her russet tresses, cascading in the night breeze.
Ron's eyes teared up, at the sight of his lover, Annabelle Avalon.
"No freaking way!" they muttered in unison, sharing an affectionate embrace.
"Oh my God! How?" Annie screamed, restless with passion.
"Definitely destiny.
The radiation from the blast imbued our bloodstreams with a sufficient supply of quantum energy, altering our D.N.A.s..
We're literally a hybrid generation of aliens," his geeky theory was cut short by his spouse.
"Shut up!" she kissed him erotically, their tongues tugging and pulling away with a wet clinking sound.
"I thought I'd lost you," he cuddled her tightly, the duo savoring the delightful taste of love's awesomeness, catching up from where they had been rudely interrupted.
