People in Dragon Ball! Start With Selecting Super Saiyan 4

Chapter 16: CHAPTER 16

Creaaak…

At that moment, the door of the gravity chamber slowly opened. Android 18 stood at the entrance, arms crossed, her brow slightly furrowed.

"You've been in here an entire day. Come out and eat something already."

Today, 18 wore a sleek, form-fitting skirt paired with black tights. Her cool yet elegant demeanor only enhanced her refined silhouette.

Over the past three years, her aura had shifted remarkably.

She had transitioned from the stoic, battle-hardened cyborg girl to a composed and quietly radiant woman.

What sparked that change? Perhaps only Linze and 18 knew the full story.

"Alright, I'm coming."

Linze nodded, stepping out of the gravity room, his breath still a little uneven from the training.

Breaking past Super Saiyan IV into a hypothetical Super Saiyan V was proving far more difficult than he had imagined.

After all, the transformation into Super Saiyan 5 had never appeared in Dragon Ball GT only in fan-made stories, most famously in "Dragon Ball AF."

In AF, both Goku and Vegeta (as Reg) achieved Super Saiyan 5, their hair turning silver-white, their bodies engulfed in primal, divine-like energy.

Based on AF's lore, there were three known pathways to reaching Super Saiyan 5:

The first involved mastering and balancing powerful emotions joy, rage, sorrow, and calm. This was said to be a method taught to Goku by the Old Kai.

The second involved Gohan, who transformed due to extreme rage after Pan (Xiaofang) was killed by Zaiko. His fury pushed him into a new realm of power.

The third path was unique to Reg (Vegeta's descendant), who inherited an ancient Saiyan bloodline, born with a base power level of 50,000, surpassing even the original Broly's (Z Movie version) terrifying potential.

But all of this existed in fan fiction not in the original manga.

Could any of these methods actually be used? Could Super Saiyan 5 even exist in this reality? Was it a true evolution above Super Saiyan 4 or just a myth built by fan dreams?

There were no definite answers.

Still, Linze had accumulated enough information and enough instinct—to try them all. No path could be dismissed yet.

"Look at yourself! You're soaked in sweat and filth. Go clean up first—then eat."

18 pursed her lips in mild disapproval, a tone of care hidden in her scolding.

"Alright, alright. I'm going."

Linze grinned and playfully tapped her smooth cheek before heading for the shower.

Android 18 didn't even flinch. After three years with Linze, she had grown used to his occasional teasing and casual boldness.

She didn't mind it anymore.

Half an hour later, Linze had finished his shower and sat down at the table, digging into a hearty meal.

Between bites, he suddenly looked up.

"By the way, I might head out to a few distant places tomorrow. Wanna come with me?"

He spoke casually but glanced at her with a hint of invitation in his tone.

Because this trip might take a long time and there was no telling what dangers lay ahead, Linze originally thought it best for 18 to remain behind.

But she had no intention of staying home.

"Of course I'm going with you. I'm your woman, right? Wherever you go, I go."

Android 18 replied with calm certainty.

Marry a chicken, follow the chicken; marry a dog, follow the dog. That was how she saw it.

"All right then! We'll head out tomorrow."

Linze looked at her, a hint of gratitude in his gaze.

He had been worried about the danger and didn't want to drag her along, but with her decision made, he was no longer traveling alone.

Early the next morning, the two got ready and packed up several Hoi-Poi Capsules filled with provisions.

Linze knew from experience that outside Earth, especially in the rest of Universe 7, food was either flavorless, toxic, or straight-up unpalatable.

So, preparation was essential.

"Are you planning to never come back or something?" 18 asked, raising an eyebrow.

She'd just watched him pack fifty food capsules—far more than any normal excursion would require.

"We'll come back," Linze replied with a grin. "But not for at least three to five years."

He had resolved not to return to Earth until he broke through Super Saiyan IV.

Because unless he surpassed that level, returning would be meaningless.

With the God of Destruction Beerus set to awaken eventually, remaining weak would be dangerous. Even the Earth's strongest warriors couldn't stand against a being like Beerus right now.

There were countless powerful beings in the multiverse, so Linze intended to venture into other realms to find them, fight them, and grow.

Fighting those powerhouses might be the key to unlocking his next transformation.

"Then… where are we going first?"

"We're going to the Sacred World of the Kais—the Realm of the Gods."

As Linze said this, he placed a hand on 18's shoulder, and in the blink of an eye, both of them vanished from Earth.

When they reappeared, they stood on a vast emerald-green plain.

"Huh? Isn't this still Earth?"

Android 18 looked around, confused.

The landscape resembled a serene Earth grassland, blue sky, green fields, flowers swaying gently in the breeze.

"No, this is the Sacred World of the Kais."

Linze shook his head.

He had earned Infinite Instant Transmission through his sign-in system long ago, and now, no place in the universe was out of reach not even the Kai's domain.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Almost the instant Linze finished speaking, two figures materialized nearby.

Clad in the distinct attire of the Kais, one was a small, youthful-looking man with lavender skin and white hair East Supreme Kai Shin, the overseer of Universe 7.

Beside him was a taller, red-skinned figure with white hair Kibito, his loyal attendant and bodyguard, who also had mastery over Instant Transmission.

"Who are you? What are you doing in the Sacred World of the Kais?" East Supreme Kai asked, frowning.

He could feel a powerful, unsettling energy radiating from Linze a kind of latent threat he hadn't sensed since Majin Buu.

His tone was wary.

"It doesn't matter who we are or how we arrived."

"I've come here to borrow the Z Sword," Linze said calmly, locking eyes with Supreme Kai.

"What?! You… you know about the Z Sword?!"

Both Shin and Kibito were visibly shocked.

It made no sense a mortal from Earth not only arriving in the Sacred World without permission but also knowing about the legendary blade sealed in stone?

That sword was hidden knowledge, even to most gods.

Their expressions stiffened as they stared at Linze how could a human possibly know this?
