Peach Blossom Dual Cultivation

Chapter 38: I’ll Call Brother Wei for You

“Li Qi, have you forgotten the pain after your scars healed? Last time, I gave you a chance, and yet you still dare to bring people here to cause trouble?”

Just as Li Qi was about to have his men trash the Lovers’ Bar, a cold voice echoed, and Zhou Lang descended from upstairs.

Seeing Zhou Lang appear, Ivanova felt a sense of relief wash over her. She already knew that Zhou Lang was a cultivator, so no matter how fierce these thugs seemed, they were no match for him. After all, these street thugs couldn’t possibly be stronger than her senior brothers.

However, the bar’s supervisors and waitstaff thought Zhou Lang was being foolish. Instead of sneaking away, he was stepping forward—wasn’t that just asking to be killed?

“Zhou Lang, I came today to settle old scores with you,” Li Qi said defiantly, showing no fear upon seeing Zhou Lang this time. He glared at Zhou Lang with arrogance before walking over to the burly man playing with iron balls, saying, “Brother Dan, this is Zhou Lang. He’s really strong. Last time, I brought over a dozen guys, but we couldn’t take him down.”

Hearing this, the supervisors and staff at Lovers’ Bar found it hard to believe, as Zhou Lang didn’t look like a tough guy at all.

“Zhou Lang, why do you keep ruining Li Qi’s business?”

Dan took a few steps forward, looking at Zhou Lang with the air of a seasoned underworld boss sizing up a rookie.

“I’m Li Mengxue’s bodyguard. Besides, you call what Li Qi does ‘business’? He’s been up to shady stuff. Last time, he promised me he’d leave Feiyun City, but it turns out this guy doesn’t keep his word.”

Zhou Lang replied calmly, paying no mind to Dan. After all, Dan was just a mere Martial Apprentice, which in Zhou Lang’s eyes, was no different from an ant.

“You dare speak to me like that? Do you even know who I am?”

Dan snarled, his facial muscles twitching as he pointed at Zhou Lang.

“I’m all ears,” Zhou Lang responded. He had already figured out that the reason Li Qi hadn’t left Feiyun City as agreed and instead brought people to cause trouble was that he had Dan backing him up. Zhou Lang was curious to see who this Brother Dan was.

“I’m Zhang Dan, known as ‘Brother Dan’ in the underworld. I’m one of Brother Wei’s top two fighters. Now, call Li Mengxue out here immediately, or I’ll cripple you,” Dan boasted with an air of superiority, continuing to toy with the iron balls in his hands like a show-off.

“Zhang Dan? Never heard of you. Brother Wei… that’s Duan Wei, right?” Zhou Lang sneered.

“You dare call Brother Wei by name?”

Zhang Dan was furious.

“A name’s just something people use, isn’t it? Zhang Dan, you’re backing Li Qi today, aren’t you?”

Now that Zhou Lang knew Zhang Dan’s identity, he was even more at ease. The last time Duan Wei’s nephew, Duan Xiaohu, offended Zhao Xiaorou, and his subordinate Scarface stole Zhao Xiaorou’s money, Zhou Lang had gone to the Brother Wei KTV with her. In the end, both Duan Wei and Duan Xiaohu surrendered. Zhou Lang could tell that Duan Wei genuinely feared him. If he gave Duan Wei a call, he wouldn’t even need to lift a finger—Duan Wei would likely deal with Zhang Dan himself.

“You’re asking for death!”

Zhang Dan’s expression darkened. He raised his hand, sending an iron ball flying straight at Zhou Lang’s chest.

Zhang Dan did have some skill; his iron ball was accurate and sudden, making it difficult to defend against.

“Ah!”

As Zhang Dan made his move, some of the more timid waitstaff in the bar screamed in fear, and some even shut their eyes, too scared to witness Zhou Lang being beaten to a bloody pulp.

But Zhou Lang remained still. When the iron ball was just in front of him, he casually reached out and caught it as if the ball had eyes and willingly fell into his hand.

Zhang Dan felt a slight pang of anxiety, but he quickly sent the second iron ball hurtling toward Zhou Lang’s head.

Zhou Lang effortlessly caught the second iron ball with one hand.

“Is this all you’ve got, and you dare to cause trouble?”

Zhou Lang sneered, holding an iron ball in each hand. He channeled his internal energy, then tossed the iron balls back at Zhang Dan’s feet.

However, the round iron balls had now been flattened into discs.

How much strength would it take to do that? Everyone who saw it was terrified, except Ivanova, who remained calm. She had anticipated such a shocking display.

She glanced around the bar at her colleagues with a sense of pride. Earlier, they had all assumed Zhou Lang had no real martial skills and had only become Li Mengxue’s boy toy. Zhou Lang’s display of skill was a direct slap in their faces.

Zhang Dan, Li Qi, and the other thugs were all trembling with fear, now too scared to make a move.

“Zhou Lang, if you dare to lay a hand on me, Brother Wei will step in. You’ll be dead for sure,” Zhang Dan threatened, still trying to put on a brave front, though his voice betrayed his fear.

“Oh, Brother Wei, is it? Then let me call him for you,” Zhou Lang smirked. “The lot of you better not try to leave. Anyone who tries to run, I’ll break their legs.”

As soon as Zhou Lang said this, Li Qi, Zhang Dan, and the dozens of thugs all became even more terrified. They had now witnessed Zhou Lang’s might firsthand, and even though they outnumbered him, none of them dared to move an inch.

“How could you possibly know Brother Wei? And why would Brother Wei listen to you?”

Li Qi asked in disbelief. After all, Duan Wei was a prominent figure in Feiyun City’s underworld, and no one had ever been able to summon him at will.

Zhou Lang couldn’t be bothered to argue with Li Qi. He simply pulled out his phone.

At this time, Duan Wei was not at his KTV but at home.

Someone of his status, of course, didn’t live in an ordinary apartment but in a villa.

It was 5 PM, and he was leisurely drinking tea on his balcony when his phone suddenly rang.

“Who is this?”

Duan Wei asked as he answered the call, noticing it was from an unfamiliar number.

“It’s Zhou Lang. If you have time, could you come to Lovers’ Bar?”

Zhou Lang’s voice came through the phone.

“Master Zhou, you want to see me?”

Duan Wei’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly asked. He was convinced that Zhou Lang was someone extraordinary, given how easily Zhou Lang could bend steel pipes, and he dared not offend or disobey him in the slightest.

“That’s right,” Zhou Lang replied.

“I’ll be there right away,” Duan Wei responded without hesitation. After hanging up, he immediately called for Scarface and gathered a few of his trusted subordinates before heading to the Lovers’ Bar. Although he had no idea why Zhou Lang wanted to see him, he didn’t dare refuse. In his eyes, someone as powerful as Zhou Lang was not to be crossed, or it could very well lead to a miserable end.

A few minutes later, Duan Wei, along with Scarface and a few close associates, drove to the Lovers’ Bar.

“The bar is closed tonight!”

Before Duan Wei even got out of the car, several thuggish-looking men blocked his vehicle. When he looked through the window, he realized that the ones blocking the road were his subordinates!

“What the hell is going on here?”

Duan Wei immediately got out of the car, his face darkening. These small-time thugs had the nerve to block his car—it was like they had no eyes.

“Brother Wei.”

The thugs blocking the car were terrified the moment they realized it was Duan Wei and Scarface.

“I asked you, what the hell is going on?”

Duan Wei’s expression grew even more severe.

“Brother Dan and Li Qi are inside the bar handling something. They told us to guard the place and not let anyone in,” one of the thuggish leaders quickly explained.

“What are those two idiots up to? Let’s go in and take a look!”

Duan Wei paused for a moment, then strode into the Lovers’ Bar.
