Outlaws With Limits

After a long journey, Dante and his team arrived at the mountain base. The base was a heavily armoured structure built into a dark valley. Sentries on the walls and robotic guards patrolling the perimeter revealed the extent of the threat inside.

Ryker scanned the area through his binoculars. "This place is a fortress. It's going to be hard to get in."

Kaelene looked at Dante, her sword resting on her shoulder. "Do you have a plan, or are we just going to barge in and take our chances?"

Dante replied coolly, pulling out his silver-plated pistols. "We'll start quietly. But if things go wrong, it's every man for himself. Elysia is our target. We need to find her and stop her."

First Conflict: The End of Silence

The team approached the base, taking advantage of the shroud of darkness. Ryker took out several guards in the distance with his silenced rifle. Kaelene, acting as a shadow, neutralised the patrolling guards. Dante managed to find a sealed entrance and infiltrate the main corridor inside.

But as they entered, an alarm sounded. Their plan to proceed in silence was upset. Heavily armoured soldiers appeared from both ends of the corridor and began firing in their direction.

"Change of plan!" shouted Dante as he drew his pistols and returned fire. "Ryker, stay in sniper position! Kaelene, clear the left flank!"

As the line of fire intensified, Dante moved quickly. He fired his pistols in both directions, neutralising the enemy. But these soldiers were no ordinary guards. Their armour stopped most of the bullets. Dante had to aim directly for the head to take down an enemy.

Kaelene rushed towards the two soldiers beside him. His sword snaked like a serpent, finding the openings in the armour and bringing the enemies down quickly. One of them, however, blocked the sword with his shield and charged, pushing Kaelene backwards. Kaelene recovered quickly before she tumbled to the ground, aiming for the enemy's knee with a reverse thrust. As the armour broke, the enemy staggered and collapsed.

Ryker was dropping targets from a platform above, but the number of soldiers was growing. "We can't hold out much longer!" he shouted. "They keep getting reinforcements!"

Dante retorted, charging his pistols. "There's got to be a way. Keep going, we've got to get inside!"

Elysia's Plan

Dante and his team continued to make their way towards the base after a fierce firefight. But every step inside was more dangerous. At the end of the corridors, a large door caught their attention. From behind the door came the sounds of a group of people talking.

Dante slowly opened the door. Inside, Elysia was examining a large holographic map with several armoured men. Various targets were marked on the map: major cities, strategic military points and energy sources.

"Your plan is to create chaos?" Dante called out, suddenly opening the door.

Elysia turned coldly to Dante. "You still don't get it, do you?" she said. "This isn't just chaos. This is the beginning of a new order. And you will not stand in its way."

Elysia gave a signal and the armoured men attacked Dante and his team.

Tough Fight: Armoured Guards

This fight was much more intense than the previous engagements. The guards took advantage of their heavy armour and high-tech weaponry to try and pin Dante and his team down.

Dante moved quickly, targeting the enemies' weak points with his pistols. However, this didn't always work. One enemy cornered Dante and attacked with a massive sledgehammer. Dante dodged the blow by leaping to the side at the last moment, but it was too narrow an escape for him.

Kaelene was fighting two enemies at once. Her sword clashed with the steel, sending sparks flying. But one of the enemies raised an energy shield, blocking her attacks. Kaelene quickly devised a plan to find the enemy's weak point and stabbed under the shield in a reverse move.

Ryker, providing fire support from above, was spotted by an enemy and a rocket was fired at him. The blast knocked Ryker off the platform he was on, but he managed to grab onto an iron bar at the last moment.

"Hang on!" shouted Dante as he continued to fight with all his might.

Elysia's Escape

As the guards were being neutralised one by one, Elysia seized the opportunity. She pressed a button on the map and a hatch opened in the floor. "You will meet me again, Dante," she said in a cold voice. "But by then it will be too late."

Dante realised that Elysia had escaped and tried to go after her. But the hatch in the floor quickly closed and Elysia's trail disappeared.

"Dante, stop!" Kaelene shouted. "We can't catch him now. But we can study the map. We need to know what her plans are."

Dante paused for a moment and took a deep breath. "You're right," he said, not taking his eyes off the still closed hatch. "This isn't over yet."
