Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Master Rebecca was in the training room. She set the simulation at the most difficult level. All around her, six cyborgs armed with laser swords emerged.
She had her eyes closed waiting for any of them to strike. Two of them moved, Rebecca opened her eyes and correctly estimated where the two were standing. With one swipe of her laser sword she was able to dislodge the heads of the two cyborgs.
She then defeated three more cyborgs. The last one was a challenged. It was probably set on the highest difficulty level, equal to the strength of Master Rebecca.
Master Rebecca smashed her laser sword against the cyborg's laser sword. She continuously started smashing her sword against the other one. She then smashed it so hard the force made both laser swords cut into the cyborg and defeat it.
The simulation ended but something was wrong. The color of Master Rebecca's laser sword fluctuated between blue, purple and red.
"Relax, Rebecca." A familiar voice said from behind her.
It was the Grandmaster of the Blue Swordfighter Order: Grandmaster Oren.
Rebecca took deep breaths, and as instructed, relaxed herself. The laser of her sword stopped its color swapping at blue.
"Sorry, Grandmaster." Rebecca said sheathing her sword. "I lost control of myself."
"Thinking of Arthur I presume." Grandmaster Oren said with a calming smile.
Rebecca didn't disagree. "Yes."
Flashback to hundred years ago:
Sasha fell face down. Arthur laughed as his laser sword's color changed from purple to red.
"I am the strongest!" He shouted crazily.
Rebecca was weeping in sadness when her rage took over. She proceeded to swing her laser sword at Arthur who successfully blocked it.
"Good, good." Arthur grimaced. "Let the anger flow through you."
She and Arthur fought for a long time until Rebecca finally got the better of him. Arthur lost the grip on his red laser sword and it fell away from him. He crouched to reach it but he found himself facing the blade of Rebecca's blue laser sword aimed at his neck.
"You can't kill me, Knight Rebecca." Arthur grinned devilishly. "You must follow the Order's code and arrest me."
A voice suddenly rang in Rebecca's commlink. "We are almost there."
It was the Blue Swordfighter team leader calling from his pod.
"Rebecca, do you copy?"
But Rebecca wasn't listening. She felt no emotional at all when she beheaded Arthur there and then.
Back to the present era:
"I am surprised I wasn't arrested or that my laser sword's color didn't change." Master Rebecca remembered.
"It is because you killed out of justice not vengeance." Grandmaster Oren explained. "You knew Arthur would become unstoppable as a Red Swordfighter."
"But why is my sword changing colors now?"
"It's because you are not hearing this new Arthur out. And letting your feelings become mixed up." Grandmaster Oren told her. "The crystal in the sword responds to our emotions."
It was true. The blue color was the purest. The purple color represented the rebel. And red was the color of pure evil.

Junior Swordfighter Harry was on a secret vacation with Princess Athena.
Secret because it was forbidden for a Swordfighter to have a relationship until they reached Knight status.
"I want to officially be with you, my love." Princess Athena told Harry.
They were sitting intimately together on a pristine sofa in a room which matched the quality of the sofa. It was a palace on the planet of Hightus. The planet itself was known for being a green planet. Full of mountainous terrain and rocky formations.
"You know it's not possible right now." Harry kissed her on the hand.
"We'll go to the High Council together." Athena suggested.
Harry gave a friendly smile. "It's not long before I become a Knight. Then we can announce to the world of love for each other."
There was a sound somewhere. It wasn't just the wind blowing as it usually does on Hightus.
"What is it?" Athena asked.
"Stay here." Harry said and put a hand on his laser sword's handle.
Harry opened the veranda to find Arthur standing in front of him.
"I don't want to fight." Arthur said.
"Neither do I." Harry said.
"I'm here to ask for a favor." Arthur suggested. "Let us train together to defeat the evil version of you."
"I believe I have sufficient training already."
"You fool!" Arthur got angry. "Have you ever faced a Red Swordfighter before? That too, one on the brink of achieving immortality?"
It was true. Millennia ago there were two Swordfighters. Best friends who defeated evildoers and one of them was granted immortality. He was known as the White Swordfighter due to his white laser sword. His best friend had a red laser sword so was known as the first Red Swordfighter.
The White Swordfighter, instead of award his best friend a part of his immortality, gave up his own gift to forge the Order of Blue Swordfighters. Enraged, the Red Swordfighter swore revenge. There was a bloody war fought until the White Swordfighter and the Order of Blue Swordfigthers defeated the first Red Swordfighter.
Ever since then some of the most evil Red Swordfighters have tried to gain immortality by collecting souls of other Swordfighters.
A cold breeze blew and alerted both Harry and Arthur to the presence of evil. It was none other than the evil version of Harry and he had a devilish smirk on his face.

Junior Harry and Arthur had their laser swords drawn. Evil Harry unsheathed his laser sword.
"Let's go." He announced.
Junior Harry and Arthur attacked at the same time. Evil Harry successfully blocked both attacks. Suddenly, Evil Harry managed to sneak a deathly blow towards Junior Harry. Arthur noticed this but couldn't reach to counter on time. A new blue laser sword came out of nowhere and blocked Evil Harry's attack.
"Knight Brooks?!" Junior Harry exclaimed. "How did you find us?"
"Oh, please Junior." Brooks smiled. "I've known from the start that you and Princess Athena have been together. Did you take me for a fool?"
Junior Harry gasped. "Why haven't you reported me to the High Council."
"That is a concern for another time." Knight Brooks got into a fighting stance. "Let's concentrate on the matter in hand."
"Fools!" Evil Harry announced. "Two or three, it doesn't matter. I am a Red Swordfighter. I am stronger than all three of you combined!"
"Let's see about that." Arthur said.
All four of them fought. But it seemed that Evil Harry was right. The Red Swordfighter had both strength and speed. He even had what the Purple Swordfighter Arthur lacked: stamina.
Arthur was panting. But he knew he had to avenge his village. He noticed that Evil Harry stood a bit farther and between Junior Harry and Knight Brooks. Arthur made his final move.
He used his speed to come in front of Evil Harry. Then he used his strength to push him off the cliff. What he didn't account for was himself falling with the fiend.
"No!" Junior Harry called after them.
Both he and Brooks rushed towards them but couldn't catch Arthur on time. Both Arthur and Evil Harry had fallen off the cliff.
Minutes later.
Arthur had managed to break his fall. Evil Harry wasn't so lucky. Arthur had his purple laser sword held to Evil Harry's neck even though the fall would have eventually killed him.
"Y-you can k-kill me." Evil Harry stammered. "B-but it won't bring your family back."
Arthur was about to kill him when a familiar voice startled him from behind.
"Don't do it, Arthur."
It was Master Rebecca.
"Why? He is going to die anyway. Why not finish it?" Arthur's grip on his laser sword tightened.
"Because it will be out of vengeance not justice that you kill him." Rebecca answered.
For a moment it seemed that Arthur was going to listen to Rebecca's suggestion. But then he pushed the tip of his laser sword into Evil Harry's throat.
"No!" Master Rebecca exclaimed.
Arthur smirked. He sensed a sort of relief but also new power surging through his body. His laser sword's color starting fluctuating from purple to red then finally stopped at red. Arthur got up and turned around to face Master Rebecca. His eyes were blood shot.
"Not only have I the Red Swordfighter's power." Arthur explained. "But I also have amassed the souls which Harry collected."
Master Rebecca knew it was too late for Arthur to be redeemed. She unsheathed her blue laser sword.
They fought for a long time. Finally, Rebecca lost the grip on her laser sword and found herself staring at the tip of Arthur's weapon.
"I won't kill you." Arthur said. "For I will then lose my greatest opponent too soon. We will meet again."
With that he knocked Master Rebecca out with the hilt of his laser sword.
