One Piece: Voyager of the Sea

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Adapting to Life at Sea (Part 1)

The weather on the sea always changes rapidly. Just moments ago, the sky was clear and endless, but now, the wind howls, and a storm is approaching.

Jialai busily moved back and forth across the deck, trying to help however she could.

"Alright, Jialai, you've worked hard. Go back to the cabin, careful not to be blown away by the wind," the giant Jebalu kindly pushed Jialai, causing her to stumble.

"Jebalu, I'm not a child!" Jialai steadied herself, turning around to glare at the giant in front of her.

"Hahaha... Even though you're not a child, you can't even stand when I give you a gentle push. Hurry back to the cabin," Jebalu laughed with his mouth wide open.

"Jialai..." A bear beside them tried to say something, but Jialai crossed her arms and glared at him. "Shut up, Bepo! I'm not going to hide in the cabin, I can help!"

Bepo, the furry bear, was quickly silenced by her glare. He hastily covered his mouth, glancing around, his reflex making him want to apologize. Just then, another gust of wind blew, and the ship rocked violently with a huge wave crashing into it. Everyone immediately grabbed onto whatever they could. Jialai lost her footing, sliding a few steps, but she managed to grab onto the ship's railing. Her slender body was tossed about like a kite in the wind, swinging uncontrollably.

"Jialai!" Both Jebalu and Bepo saw the massive wave coming from behind her and shouted a warning.

Jialai, following their shout, turned around. The wave, towering several times higher than the ship, was about to crash into them. In an instant, she felt herself struck by a heavy force. She tried to cling tightly to the railing, but her strength failed her. Her wide eyes only saw Jebalu and Bepo desperately trying to rush over to grab her, but they were pushed back by the successive waves.

With a jolt, Jialai felt herself being enveloped in cold seawater, lifted into the air, and about to fall into the vast ocean.

"Law..." Desperately, Jialai closed her eyes, silently calling his name in her heart.

"Room... Command..." A calm, composed voice rang out, and in an instant, the figure about to fall into the sea was enveloped in a half-circle, pulled back onto the ship. The seawater had rushed into her mouth, and Jialai collapsed onto the deck, coughing violently for a while before finally recovering.

"Captain." Both Bepo and Jebalu let out a relieved sigh, looking up at the person standing on the second deck.

"The storm is coming. Everyone, get below deck immediately," Trafalgar Law ordered coolly.

"Yes!" There was no doubt or question in their response.

Jialai pressed her hand to her chest, standing up and looking up at the man ahead, who was staring at the sky.

"What are you still doing here?" Noticing the gaze beside him, Law didn't even turn his head. His voice, colder than usual, held a trace of displeasure.

Jialai bit her lip, slowly walking past him, heading towards the cabin below.

"Jialai, where are you going?" Bepo approached just as he bumped into Jialai.

"I forgot something in the rest area below." Jialai lowered her head and responded in a quiet voice.

"What is it? I can go get it for you." Bepo, rarely talking, offered.

"No, I can do it myself!" Jialai suddenly raised her voice, startling Bepo. He immediately apologized, "Sorry."

Realizing her own outburst, Jialai quickly apologized, "Sorry, Bepo. I didn't mean it." She was about to head downstairs when the ship rocked again, causing her to lose her balance and crash into the railing.

"Careful." Fortunately, Bepo stepped in and caught her, his soft fur cushioning much of the impact.

"Thank you." Jialai finally steadied herself, but sensing a gaze behind her, she instinctively turned back. Law's cold stare was even sharper than usual. Jialai bit her lip, freezing in place.

"It's fine." The girl's polite thanks made the already shy Bepo blush deeply, turning his face a lovely shade of red.

"Bepo, is there something?" Law's indifferent voice interrupted the conversation.

"Captain, dinner's ready," Bepo said, walking over.

Jialai understood very well that when Bepo and the others were speaking to Law, it wasn't her place to stand nearby. She took the hint, gripping the railing and stumbling her way into the cabin.

"Captain, have you really decided?" As Jialai left, Bepo walked over.

"We'll reach the next island soon," Law responded indifferently, ignoring Bepo's question. "It looks like the storm won't be ending anytime soon..." He spoke as he began moving towards the dining area.

"Captain..." Bepo stood in place, calling out helplessly before following him.
