"Sengoku… the Gorōsei are dead."

In a corner of the ruined plaza of Marine Headquarters, Garp sat on the ground, speaking to Sengoku, who sat beside him.

"What of it? It's no longer my concern." Sengoku, the former Fleet Admiral, replied, a relieved smile on his weary face.

"I've decided to step down as Fleet Admiral… Besides, I'm just a spent force now. I wouldn't have lasted much longer in that position anyway." Sengoku spoke with a calmness that belied the turmoil of the past few hours.

"Heh, what a coincidence. This old-timer is retiring too. When it's done, you can come with me to the East Blue to enjoy our retirement. The World Government is gone. We don't need to carry that foolish and absurd 'justice' on our shoulders anymore. Maybe we can convince Zephyr and Tsuru to join us." Garp said with a chuckle.

...

"Pops, it's been a while."

At that moment, Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, approached his father, his dark green cloak billowing in the wind. Father and son stood face to face.

"Dragon, how many years has it been?"

"Seventeen." Dragon replied, his face impassive, the very picture of a revolutionary leader.

"Right… It's been seventeen years since we last met." Garp's gaze was deep and searching.

Seventeen years ago, Dragon, who had defected from the Marines and vanished for years, suddenly appeared in Foosha Village, carrying a newborn Luffy.

After entrusting Luffy to Garp, who happened to be on vacation at the time, Dragon left without a word, throwing himself back into the revolutionary cause.

"Seventeen years. Do you know what I've been through these past seventeen years?" Garp's brow furrowed, and Dragon suddenly felt a surge of anxiety.

"These past seventeen years, I've been tormented by Luffy in Foosha Village… and because of you, I've been constantly harassed by Sengoku at Marine Headquarters. It's been… unbearable…"

The more Garp thought about his troubles, the more his gaze towards his son darkened. But his anger soon faded, replaced by a tired resignation.

"Forget it… none of that matters now. You were right, in the end. Thankfully, everyone is safe now. Ace and Luffy probably hate me, don't they? I didn't try to save them."

"The children will understand." Dragon said, sensing his father's inner turmoil.

"I'll leave you two alone for now." Garp said, ending the conversation.

Dragon's gaze shifted to Luffy, who was rolling around on the ground nearby. Even the stoic leader of the Revolutionary Army couldn't help but feel a sense of bewilderment at the sight.

"It's great that Sabo is back, and Ace is alive." Luffy cried, oblivious to the strange looks he was receiving. "Hey… Hey, Ace, Sabo, do you want to join my crew? That way, we can see each other every day!"

Ignoring the bewildered stares from those around them, Luffy, in his usual, carefree manner, extended the invitation.

"Idiot, Luffy. I've told you many times, you're two hundred years too early to be my captain." Ace said, giving Luffy a sideways glance.

"Hahaha… As for joining Luffy's crew, we'll see. But there's someone important you need to meet." Sabo interjected, sensing the awkward atmosphere.

"Someone important? Who?" Luffy tilted his head in confusion. After the shock of seeing Sabo alive and Ace revived, his mind was too full to consider anyone else.

The Revolutionary soldiers on the docks were speechless. Was this goofy kid really the son of their brilliant and powerful leader, Dragon?

Even Dragon himself was taken aback by his son's antics, his stoic facade cracking slightly. Sensing the awkwardness, he stepped forward.

For years, Dragon's past had been a mystery. No one, not even his closest comrades, Ivankov and Bartholomew Kuma, knew his full story. Over time, the members of the Revolutionary Army had begun to see their meticulous, thoughtful, and idealistic leader as a mythical figure.

He was a man of flesh and blood, connected to the world like everyone else. He was the son of the legendary Marine hero, Monkey D. Garp, and the father of the pirate, Straw Hat Luffy.

Now, three generations of this extraordinary family – grandfather, father, and son – stood together, representing the Marines, the Revolutionaries, and the pirates.

....

"Luffy, this is our first official meeting, I suppose." Dragon said, a rare smile touching his lips.

"Huh?" Luffy tilted his head, looking at the imposing figure before him. Then, it dawned on him.

"Oh, right! You're my dad! That what's his name, the devil guy, told me. Thanks for saving my brother, Sabo."

"Uh-huh." Dragon nodded.

"Oh." Luffy nodded back.

So much for a touching reunion.

"Why don't you…?" Sabo, from behind, gave Luffy a nudge, hoping for a heartfelt embrace between father and son. But both Dragon and Luffy seemed content with a simple acknowledgment.

Dragon, after years of leading the Revolutionaries, had grown accustomed to maintaining a stoic and composed demeanor. Luffy, on the other hand, was simply too unfamiliar with his father to feel any strong emotion.

He had no memories of Dragon. To expect a heartfelt reunion from the Simple Luffy was simply unrealistic.

"Luffy, you've grown up." Dragon placed a large hand on Luffy's head, ruffling his hair. It was a simple gesture, but it was the most intimate display of affection he could muster.

"Uh-huh." Luffy nodded again. The atmosphere grew awkward. Dragon, a master strategist in the revolution, was clearly out of his depth as a father. He was at a loss for words.

Thankfully, Sabo intervened, turning to Garp, who was sitting on the ground nearby.

"Gramps, it's been a while." Sabo grinned, extending a hand in greeting.

Garp, a man who had stood at the pinnacle of strength, whose heart had remained unshaken even during fierce battles against the strongest pirates, including Whitebeard, now found himself deeply moved.

"Gramps, have you forgotten my name already? That's a bit hurtful." Sabo said with a chuckle. Finally, Garp spoke, his voice thick with emotion.

"Sabo… Is it really you? You're alive…"

Garp's eyes widened, and he instinctively grabbed Sabo's shoulders, his grip tight.

"Gramps, no need to beat me to death the moment we meet, right?" Sabo quipped.

After a moment of stunned silence, Garp burst into laughter, his booming voice echoing across the sky.

"Hahahaha… It's good that you're alive!!" Garp exclaimed, his voice filled with joy. He patted Sabo's shoulder with such force that it Absolutely thudded. Tears welled up in his eyes.

"Gramps, can you, uh, lighten up a bit? That's starting to hurt." Sabo winced, smiling wryly.

Garp, startled, finally came to his senses.

"Hahahaha… Sorry, sorry. Gramps got a little carried away." Garp chuckled, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. But his laughter, ringing through the air, was a testament to his genuine happiness.

Many people were happy to see Garp happy.

"Sabo, you little brat, you're a Revolutionary now? And Chief of Staff, no less?" Garp's expression turned serious as he questioned Sabo.

"What about it, Gramps?"

Garp's face contorted, almost as if he were constipated. His son was a Revolutionary. His two grandsons, Ace and Luffy, were notorious pirates.

And now, his well-behaved and sensible grandson, Sabo, was not only alive but also the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, serving under his own son!

Garp clutched his chest, feeling a sharp pain in his heart. Sabo quickly patted his back.

"Haha, Gramps, take care of yourself."

"Sabo, you… you're going to taste my Fist of Love, too! I don't care if you're a Revolutionary now. We might even become allies. But why didn't you come back all these years, even just to send word? Or was it because of that bastard, Dragon…"

Garp's gaze turned menacing as he glared at his son. He assumed Dragon had forbidden Sabo from contacting them. He was about to take off his sandal and discipline his son when Sabo intervened.

"No, no, it has nothing to do with Mr. Dragon. When he rescued me, I lost my memory. I only recently recovered it." Sabo explained, wiping the sweat from his brow. Otherwise, he feared Garp would actually attack Dragon.

He noticed that the mark on Dragon's face looked suspiciously like a sandal print.

"Kuma, it's been a while."

At that moment, Koala, Ivankov, and the other Revolutionary commanders approached Bartholomew Kuma, who stood silently, still processing his own situation.

Because of Ian's time reversal, Kuma's body had been restored to its original, human form. While the cyborg modifications had granted him power, they had also robbed him of the simple joys of being human. He could no longer feel pain or temperature. Was that man a god?

....

...

"Shanks." Suddenly, a furious roar echoed from above. A figure with a distinctive red nose descended, grabbing Shanks by the collar, his face contorted in rage. It was Buggy.

"Oh, oh, oh!"

"Look! Look over there!"

"That's the Yonko, Red-Haired Shanks, being grabbed by Captain Buggy! Amazing! As expected of our Captain Buggy! A true legend, unafraid to challenge even a Yonko!"

"Yeah! Captain Buggy has just been keeping a low profile. Otherwise, he would definitely be one of the Yonko! I'm even more determined to follow Captain Buggy for the rest of my life!"

Buggy's dim-witted followers erupted in cheers, their admiration for their captain reaching new heights.

"Oh, if it isn't Buggy. It's good to see you're doing well." Shanks said with a smile.

"What do you mean, 'doing well'? We have a score to settle!" Buggy fumed, his eyes wide with rage.

"Shanks, everyone."

A joyful voice called out. Luffy, finally noticing Shanks, rushed towards him, embracing him in a tight hug.

"Luffy, it's been twelve years. You've become a fine pirate. Your crew is impressive, too. I've seen it all in the papers." Shanks said, laughing.

"No, we still have a long way to go. So I can't return this straw hat to you yet." Luffy said firmly. Shanks chuckled, not minding at all.

"Luffy, it's been a while…"

"Luffy, want some meat?" Lucky Roux, Yasopp, and the other members of the Red Hair Pirates greeted Luffy warmly.

"Hey, isn't that Mihawk? Don't go! It's been a while. Let's have a drink before you leave."

Shanks, noticing Mihawk preparing to depart, called out to him. But Mihawk merely pretended not to hear, acting as if he didn't know this idiot. Knowing Shanks was too embarrassing.

"Pops, we came to help. But it seems we were too late." Kin'emon and Kanjuro said apologetically.

"Kin'emon, Kanjuro… It's enough that you came." Whitebeard said, happy to see them.

...

Finally, after much commotion, and with the intervention of Tsuru, the Vice Admiral and Chief of Staff, the chaotic family reunion came to a temporary end. Now, it was time for the negotiations.

If the tide of the times could not be stopped, then they were prepared to ride it. The question was, who would control the new era? The World Government, or the Emperor of the Sea? The high-ranking Marines, led by Sengoku, cared only about the future of the world.

They wanted to ensure that the new era would be one of peace and justice. The world controlled by pirates had always seemed like a nightmare.

But with Whitebeard and Shanks, perhaps things would be different. After a high-level meeting, the Marines agreed that the world after the transfer of power might be more peaceful and stable than before.

The negotiations proceeded smoothly. When Dragon, as the leader of the Revolutionary Army, explained their ideals to the Marines, many were surprised.

The Marines realized that the Revolutionaries weren't the bloodthirsty terrorists the World Government had portrayed them to be. They, too, carried a sense of justice, fighting for the oppressed and downtrodden.

The following day, the Marines, the Red Hair Pirates, the Whitebeard Pirates, and the Revolutionary Army joined forces to attack Mary Geoise, destroying the Celestial Dragons, who had ruled the world for eight centuries, and the CP forces.

After this day, pirates still sailed the seas, and the Marines still maintained order. It seemed as if nothing had changed.

Though pirates still sought the One Piece on Laugh Tale, the era was no longer called the Great Pirate Era.

Many called it.. the Age of God.

In the year 1521 of the Sea Age…

The New World Government was established. The allied nations of the former World Government joined the new order.

Under the New World Government, the former Marine Admiral, Akainu, became the new Commander-in-Chief. Aokiji became the new Fleet Admiral. Fujitora was promoted to Admiral.

Monkey D. Garp's son, Monkey D. Dragon, became the President of the New World Government Assembly. Even Whitebeard and Shanks were given positions within the new order.

No one objected. They had all witnessed true peace.

But everyone knew who truly ruled this world. Did this world have god?

If so, then it was the Black-Winged Devil, a figure of legend. People spoke his name in hushed tones.

In the year 1522 of the Sea Age…

The Sky Island and Fish-Man Island joined the New World Government, gaining the right to participate in the World Council. That same year, the Straw Hat Pirates reached Laugh Tale, the final island. Luffy fulfilled his dream.

That same year, Ace retraced Gol D. Roger's journey, reaching Laugh Tale after Luffy. But that's a story for another time.

Because before the end of the Summit War…there was one last battle that would shake the world.
