ONE PIECE: THE GREAT VOYAGE

Chapter 259: CHAPTER 259

The War on the Top Begins! Battle Against Steel Bone Kong!

The clash of ideologies could turn any war into something monumental. But for Caesar, this was more than just a battle—it was a test for his army.

The Central Navy had been formally established, and the main forces of the Marine Headquarters were now advancing toward them.

But before the Marines could arrive, Caesar had a plan. He wanted to temper the Central Navy, to give them real combat experience before facing the might of the World Government.

After all, his forces had never even set sail for a true battle before, let alone waged war against an army of tens of thousands.

The incoming Marines were battle-hardened veterans, warriors who had fought on countless fronts. They would not falter.

Under the guidance of Issho (Fujitora), Caesar ordered an operation.

Beyond the territorial waters of the Middle Kingdom, pirates across the sea suddenly faced a reckoning.

To ensure a strong start, Caesar assigned Gnali and his elite crewmates to lead the charge.

The result was swift and decisive.

The pirate crews in the entire region were crushed, scattered, or annihilated.

For the Central Navy, this initial victory inflated their confidence. Their first voyage had ended in complete dominance—the enemy either fled at the sound of their name or was utterly overpowered.

The illusion of invincibility settled in.

That was until they encountered stronger foes.

Against formidable pirate captains, the Central Navy tasted its first real challenge.

The illusion shattered like glass.

Despite this, with the Caesar Pirates backing them, they managed to avoid disaster. Their pride was bruised, but their forces remained intact.

The arrogance in the air dissipated.

Then, after a week of preparation, the true enemy arrived.

The Marines Mobilize!

A mighty fleet set sail from Marineford, reinforced by additional warships along the way.

By the time they reached the waters of the Middle Kingdom, their numbers had swelled to over 30 battleships and 50,000 elite troops.

This was three times the size of a Buster Call.

A Buster Call—a force of just ten warships—was enough to wipe an island off the map. But this? This was a full-scale invasion.

The Central Navy spotted them immediately and relayed the urgent report.

"Fleet Admiral Issho! The enemy fleet has arrived at the coastline! More than 30 warships! We don't have an exact count on their forces yet!"

The transmission crackled with panic.

Upon hearing this, Issho closed his eyes and sighed. His face was heavy with sorrow.

To him, the Marines—despite being the enforcers of the Celestial Dragons' rule—still had many men who genuinely upheld justice.

But this war was inevitable.

Issho had made his choice long ago, when he sided with Caesar.

He had known this moment would come.

True peace was never won without sacrifice.

With resolve in his heart, he issued the order:

"All warships—assemble at the enemy's approach! Level One Alert!"

Then, he immediately called Caesar.

The Calm Before the Storm

The Den Den Mushi rang only once before Caesar picked up.

"They're here, aren't they, Issho?"

There was no surprise in his voice.

Issho simply nodded and replied, "Yes."

A brief silence hung between them.

Then, Caesar spoke.

"Prepare for war."

The call ended.

Caesar wasted no time. He summoned his top fighters—Barrett, Gnali, and others.

One key figure, however, would not participate in the battle—Effiete, a powerhouse at the general level, was heavily pregnant and unable to fight.

Despite this, the lineup remained formidable.

Even Brad, Hades, and other key figures joined the fray.

This time, the Marines had come with everything they had.

The fleet included dozens of elite Vice Admirals and hundreds of Rear Admirals and Commodores.

Under the keen perception of Observation Haki, their combat power was staggering.

Then, a powerful voice echoed across the battlefield.

The Battle Begins!

"Caesar! I finally get to see you! You've really stirred up quite the mess!"

Standing at the bow of a warship, radiating raw power, was Fleet Admiral Steel Bone Kong.

Caesar, who had just landed on his warship, turned toward the voice.

His gaze locked onto Kong—the legendary warrior of the Marines.

Even as an elder statesman, Kong's presence was overwhelming.

A true titan of battle.

"So even you had to step in personally, Fleet Admiral Kong."

Caesar's lips curled into a smirk.

Despite this being their first face-to-face meeting, Caesar knew of Kong's reputation well.

The man was a living legend.

"Pfft-hahaha! You're still as arrogant as ever, Caesar!"

Another voice rang out, this time from a different warship.

It was none other than Monkey D. Garp.

The Marine hero, grinning wildly, was practically radiating excitement.

Every time he clashed with Caesar, he relished the fight.

Even with the seriousness of the situation, Garp couldn't help but tease his rival.

Caesar chuckled.

"You're here too, Garp."

His gaze swept across the enemy lines.

"And I see you brought quite the company… Warlord of the Sea Sengoku, Vice Admiral Tsuru… and countless Marine elites."

Caesar's voice carried no trace of fear.

Only anticipation.

"You really went all out this time."

But Kong was in no mood for games. His eyes burned with fury.

"Caesar! You dare defy the authority of the Marines?! This time, I'll wipe out those ridiculous puppet troops of yours!"

His voice was like thunder.

Rage filled every word.

Then, without hesitation—he launched into battle.

Caesar's smirk widened.

"Good! Then let's see you try!"

A wave of Conqueror's Haki erupted from him, enveloping the battlefield.

Lightning crackled through the air.

The War Erupts!

Steel Bone Kong launched into the sky with Moonwalk and came straight for Caesar, his fists glowing with Advanced Armament Haki.

Caesar didn't hesitate.

He charged forward, meeting Kong head-on.

Their blows collided—BOOM!

A shockwave exploded outward, sending tremors through the sea.

Meanwhile, across the battlefield:

Barrett clashed with Garp, their Haki-infused fists sending shockwaves across the ocean.

Issho (Fujitora) battled Sengoku, his gravitational slashes colliding with the Buddha's shockwaves.

Gnali faced Tsuru, whose Wash-Wash Fruit threatened to nullify his attacks.

The sky itself seemed to tremble under the sheer power of the battlefield.

And so, the war began.

A battle that would shake the world.
