Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Dragon Bows His Head
Then, under everyone's watchful gaze, he fell straight backward!
Seeing this, the members of the Arlong Pirates were all shocked!
They never imagined that the opponent's strength could be this terrifying.
Even Arlong himself was considering turning around and fleeing.
"Alright, enough wasting time—just kill them all," Rikuya Kazama said nonchalantly.
These guys had been wreaking havoc in the area, so deep down, Rikuya truly wanted to eliminate these scourges.
After hearing Rikuya's order, Douglas Bullet's expression turned cold, his gaze bursting with murderous intent.
At this moment, Arlong realized the situation was beyond saving—getting out alive was no longer an option.
He immediately pulled out his mouth's regrown teeth and shouted to the other fish-men,
"Kill them!"
But as they charged forward, Bullet let out a loud shout, instantly releasing his aura.
In the next moment, a blue burst of energy exploded outward from his body in all directions.
When Arlong and the others touched this blue aura, they were blown back violently!
"Conqueror's Haki?" Rikuya muttered in shock at the scene.
He knew Bullet possessed all three types of Haki, but this was the first time he had seen Conqueror's Haki used so effortlessly.
Conqueror's Haki is a trait of kings—it allows the user to intimidate or even knock out weaker opponents without laying a finger on them.
Unlike Observation and Armament Haki, Conqueror's Haki cannot be learned or inherited; it's innate, determined by one's fate and spirit.
Clearly, Douglas Bullet had fully mastered his Conqueror's Haki.
At this point, Arlong struggled to get back up, his body covered in several new wounds—all courtesy of Bullet.
The rest of his crew fared far worse: most of the fish-men were killed on the spot by the overwhelming Haki, blood flowing from their seven orifices.
Even officer Hatchan lay barely alive on the ground.
Now, the only one barely able to stand was Arlong himself.
Gone was his former pride—his mouth was bloodied, and he looked utterly miserable.
"Please… spare me," Arlong begged weakly.
"Kneel," Rikuya commanded coldly as he stepped forward.
Without hesitation, Arlong dropped to his knees.
"Now… can you let me go?"
He looked up at Rikuya with pitiful eyes, all dignity lost.
"Did you ever think of sparing the villagers when you slaughtered them?"
Rikuya asked.
"I-I didn't kill anyone innocent! I only wanted to protect them from the worse pirates—the ones who burn and plunder!"
Arlong quickly tried to defend himself.
"You're greedy and brutal, obsessed with money. You didn't just attack these nearby villages—you even colluded with corrupt Navy officers. That rat, Captain Nezumi, is one of your lapdogs. Am I wrong?"
At the mention of Captain Nezumi, Arlong's pupils dilated. He stared at Rikuya in shock.
He was clearly stunned—how could this stranger know so much?
"Got nothing more to say, huh? Be good now. Close your eyes. It won't hurt."
Rikuya glanced at Douglas Bullet.
"No, please—don't!" Arlong cried out.
But it was already too late!
After successfully executing Arlong, Rikuya and Bullet returned to their Navy warship.
Just as they boarded, a large crowd of townsfolk rushed to the shoreline.
"What do they want?" Rikuya wondered aloud, confused by the sudden gathering.
But the next moment, the villagers erupted in cheers and applause, waving excitedly at them.
Seeing this, Rikuya turned to look at their warship—and instantly understood.
These townsfolk had been watching everything from the shadows.
And when they saw Arlong fall and the two of them boarding a Navy ship, they mistakenly believed Rikuya and Bullet were Marines sent to eliminate the Arlong Pirates.
That's why they had come to the dock—to send them off with gratitude.
"Didn't expect to do a good deed today. Looks like the Navy might actually consider making me one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea!"
Rikuya chuckled to himself.
"What's 'Seven Warlords of the Sea'?"
Douglas Bullet, having been isolated from the world for years, asked curiously.
"It's a temporary organization made up of seven members. Each one is a pirate officially recognized by the World Government.
These pirates possess destructive power and military strength comparable to nations.
So, to keep them in check and use them when needed, the government grants them privileges—allowing them to commit crimes freely. But in return, they must obey orders at certain times," Rikuya explained.
"Ridiculous. Seven infamous pirates willingly serving as the government's lapdogs? That's an insult to real pirates.
Do I know any of them?"
Bullet scoffed.
"Actually, yeah. One of them is someone you fought back in the day—and he's doing quite well now."
"Who is it?"
