"Yes?" he asked calmly, his golden and red eyes piercing through Tiger's soul. Overwhelmed, Tiger found himself paralyzed, unable to speak.
Carl looked away, his gaze falling on Otohime, who was trembling nearby, and said coldly,
"Now, let's talk about Roger."
Otohime swallowed hard, her fear barely concealed. Carl had made it clear earlier that he didn't care about Roger's business. Now, he brought it up to create leverage after Neptune's refusal to cooperate.
If Carl held Neptune accountable, the World Government would deem it lawful, even if Neptune lost his life. Fishman Island was, after all, considered property of the Celestial Dragons.
Among the Celestial Dragons, Carl was already known as one of the more "reasonable" ones.
In an act of desperation, Otohime pleaded,

As she spoke, she even bowed to Carl, a gesture that earned her a look of admiration from him. Standing up, Otohime's smile became more natural, as if the confrontation had never happened.
She mustered her courage to meet Carl's eyes and said softly,
"Admiral, if you know of my daughter to be born, then you must also know how special she will be, correct?"
