One Piece: Signing In as a Pirate Begins with Roger's Execution

Chapter 99: Chapter 99: The Justice of Two Against One!

"False Planetary Devastation!"

Karl roared furiously.

The surrounding earth surged upward, immediately encasing Patrick, who had charged forward.

Karl continued to unleash his power, forcing the chunks of earth to compress Patrick midair.

The essence of the Planetary Devastation technique is to utilize gravity, crushing the enemy and the surrounding debris into a compact mass, effectively neutralizing or sealing the target.

The resulting miniature black hole generates relentless gravitational pull, rendering the enemy completely immobilized.

Though Karl couldn't generate a gravity sphere, he could fully manipulate his Float-Float Fruit ability to mimic a similar effect.

Admittedly, this "Planetary Devastation" was somewhat of a knockoff compared to the awe-inspiring technique from Naruto, lacking its elegance.

However, its power was not inferior. Even after Patrick was trapped within, he found himself unable to break free momentarily.

But this technique had a critical flaw: it required Karl to continuously channel his power.

Once he stopped, the technique would instantly dissipate, and the enemy would escape.

"Karl, you arrived at just the right moment. We've been buying time. In about seven days, Garp and Borsalino will be here."

Kong stood by Karl's side, patting him on the shoulder.

"Kid, you've done well! Once this mission is complete, I'll immediately promote you to Rear Admiral!"

As soon as Kong patted his shoulder, Karl was startled to hear his thoughts.

Karl had originally believed his mind-reading ability was active and required him to deliberately touch someone to work.

But it turned out to be passive—triggered by any physical contact.

However, the ability seemed to have a limitation: he could only read a person's thoughts once in a short period.

The cooldown time for this ability was still unclear, leaving Karl to figure it out through trial and error.

"Fleet Admiral Kong, I can't maintain this move for long. Be prepared—he'll break free soon!"

"Understood," Kong replied with a nod, his body enveloped in Armament Haki once again.

Seeing that Kong was ready, Karl silently counted down in his mind.

Three seconds later, Karl deactivated the ability, and he and Kong attacked Patrick in unison as he soared through the air.

"Damn it! I'll kill—"

"Bam!!!"

Patrick, who had just spat out a mouthful of dirt and was about to retaliate against Karl, found himself face-to-face with the combined assault.

Kong's immensely powerful fists and Karl's razor-sharp blade struck simultaneously, leaving visible wounds on Patrick's body.

With a deafening boom, Patrick was sent crashing into the ground, plummeting through the island's terrain and eventually into the ocean.

But before they could breathe a sigh of relief, an enormous slash of sword energy erupted from the sea, tearing through the land and slicing skyward.

"Damn Marines…"

Patrick emerged from the ocean, his expression twisted in pain and fury.

Never had he expected to be in such a sorry state.

Caught off guard, Karl had ambushed him.

Then Kong, abandoning all sense of fairness, joined forces with Karl for a coordinated sneak attack.

Now, Patrick was significantly injured—a fact that made him increasingly wary of his adversaries.

Although these injuries didn't hinder him from continuing to fight, the combined onslaught of Karl and Sengoku left him uneasy.

After their brief exchange, Patrick had determined that Karl's strength was not inferior to Kong's and that Karl's swordsmanship rivaled his own.

Patrick wasn't confident about defeating Karl one-on-one, let alone when Karl and Kong were working together to capture him.

Making matters worse, Garp and Borsalino were en route and would arrive soon.

The situation was turning dire for Patrick. He needed to find a way to escape immediately.

But before he could act, Karl appeared at his side, making physical contact with him.

In an instant, Patrick's thoughts of fleeing flashed into Karl's mind.

"Get out of my way!"

Seeing Karl approach again, Patrick unleashed a slash, forcing him back.

"Fleet Admiral, we need to act fast. Patrick is planning his escape," Karl said softly. Kong nodded and used Shave to charge forward!

Like a steel fortress, Kong's imposing presence loomed over Patrick, delivering rapid, mountain-crushing punches. Each blow carried immense weight, forcing Patrick to defend.

The earlier ambush had already left Patrick injured, and now he dared not take further risks. A second hit like that could be fatal.

As Kong pressed the attack, Karl suddenly appeared from the side, unleashing a slash of sword energy!

Patrick, sensing the danger, diverted one hand to block Karl's attack with Advanced Armament Haki, neutralizing the sword energy.

But Kong seized the opportunity, delivering a devastating dual-fisted blow infused with Ryuo, sending Patrick flying again!

Blood sprayed through the air, mixed with an unidentifiable liquid, as Kong's punches landed.

Yet even then, Kong didn't relent. His fists became a blur, leaving afterimages.

Each strike generated shockwaves that rippled through the air with explosive force, a testament to Kong's overwhelming strength.

"Wow, brutal! Even I'm starting to feel bad for him," Karl remarked, smirking at Patrick's pitiful state.

Under normal circumstances, Patrick's strength was on par with Kong's—give or take.

But Karl's addition to the fight upset the balance.

Patrick had to contend with Kong's attacks while constantly guarding against Karl's calculated, underhanded strikes.

By now, Patrick was certain: Karl's power rivaled his own.

And worst of all? This guy was shameless!

His flashy, overwhelming moves concealed sly, treacherous angles of attack, leaving Patrick no choice but to defend constantly.
