One Piece: New Luffy

Chapter 105: CHAPTER 103: Davy Back Fight

Shortly after, in the island's vast grasslands, the crew gathered around Luffy, who held a bottle containing a diluted liquid.

"Luffy, what are you planning to do?" Nami asked.

"Today, we're all going to try Chopper's latest research achievement—Body Strengthening Water."

Hearing this, everyone looked at Chopper.

Chopper immediately said, "Listen up, this is a potent medicine extracted from the Rokushiki Fruit. After drinking it, it will quickly enhance your physical strength."

"So we can gain physical power almost instantly?" Sanji asked, already intrigued.

Luffy replied, "It doesn't work instantly, but it lasts for a certain amount of time. So, during that window, you should train as much as you can."

Anyway, today was just a trial. If the effect turned out well, it could be used regularly.

"So that's why Chopper's been so busy these past few days?" Usopp suddenly realized.

Both Agent Five and Agent Three were surprised.

They had heard a bit about the Rokushiki Fruit.

They didn't expect they'd be part of this too.

"Who wants to go first?" Luffy asked with a smile. "Nami, Vivi, you two don't need it—you're already superhuman."

Naturally, the two women didn't mind.

Not only had they mastered all six Rokushiki techniques, but they were also Logia users. If they really wanted to, their combat strength was even greater than Zoro's.

"But Luffy, I have a question," Nami said, puzzled. "With this, can we still master Rokushiki techniques?"

"Silly girl, as long as your physical condition meets the standard, mastering Rokushiki isn't that difficult."

Having more skills isn't a problem—they're actually prerequisites for Haki.

And if you really want to learn, it's not impossible. Most Marine officers can use at least one or two techniques.

"I'll go first! Gimme that, quick!"

Usopp was the first to raise his hand, ran over to Chopper, grabbed a bottle, and drank it all in one gulp.

He let out a satisfied groan and held out the bottle. "I want more!"

"That's enough!"

"One is plenty for each person."

"I'll give it a try too."

Sanji stepped up and drank a bottle, savoring the taste. Surprised, he said, "It actually tastes good."

"Really? Let me try it too."

Robin smiled and elegantly took a sip from a cup.

Soon everyone joined in, including Zoro, who didn't hesitate to chug his.

Finally, the former agents' group exchanged glances and silently stepped forward.

Opportunities to get stronger shouldn't be missed, right?

After Kaya finished drinking hers, Chopper quickly said, "Kaya, your body is still weak. Drinking this is good for your condition, but you shouldn't take part in intense training yet. Just move around more."

Luffy smiled, seeing everyone motivated, and said:

"Yes, Professor Chopper!"

Kaya nodded with a smile.

She had wanted to learn medicine, so she had asked Chopper to teach her long ago—hence the change in how she addressed him.

One by one, everyone drank the Body Strengthening Water.

Luffy announced, "Everyone, train your own way. Of course, if you want a challenge, try breaking through Bartolomeo's barriers."

"You can count on me, Luffy-senpai!" shouted his number one fan, setting up his barrier.

But the lively mood was suddenly broken when a massive ship appeared on the horizon, approaching fast.

Zoro narrowed his eyes.

"We've got company," he said.

In the distance, on the sea's surface, a huge pirate ship was heading straight toward them.

On the deck—

"Captain, it's the Straw Hat Pirates!" the lookout yelled.

"Huh? The Straw Hat Pirates?"

The man with crossed arms suddenly widened his eyes. "These are some real big shots. Let's challenge them!"

"Huh!? They're a Warlord crew!"

His subordinates were all shocked.

"You fools, that's exactly why we're going! Who do you think I am? If you want something, you take it! That's the motto of the 'Silver Fox'—Foxy!"

The man who made that arrogant declaration had slicked hair, a red nose, upside-down eyebrows, and triangular eyes that made him look like a fox.

"I bet the Warlord crew members are strong, right? Let's go!"

Near the shore, there was a field.

Zoro smiled and said, "Oh... they're coming for us? Looking for a fight?"

As soon as they heard the word "fight," the men instantly smiled.

Sanji loosened his collar and said, "They're gonna make good punching bags..."

"No, Mr. Sanji," Mr. 3 pushed up his glasses and shrugged with a light chuckle, "Leave this to me. Let me handle this pirate crew."

"Leave it to me, I got this! It's been a while since I used my Okama Kenpo," said Mr. 2, jumping into a ballet pose.

"Hahaha."

Luffy laughed and didn't stop them. He pulled up a chair, sat calmly, and assumed the role of spectator.

Boom!

When Foxy's pirate ship reached the shore, they were met by a group of men clearly eager to fight.

On the deck, Foxy's pirates swallowed nervously.

"Wait, wait!"

A cute-looking woman with a strange hat immediately waved and said in a sweet voice, "We're not here to fight you, Straw Hat Pirates. It's all a misunderstanding!"

Sanji's beauty radar immediately went off. "A babe~!"

"Shut up, you pervert!" Zoro kicked Sanji in the butt upon seeing his reaction.

"Why'd you kick me, you bastard!? You wanna die, moss head?!"

Sanji got up, and the two started bickering right then and there.

"Hahahaha!"

Suddenly, a laugh rang out. Foxy pointed at Luffy, who was sitting to the side watching the commotion, and shouted:

"Warlord Straw Hat Luffy! I'm Captain Foxy, Foxy! I'm not here to fight you, on the contrary—I'm here to challenge you!"

"A challenge?"

Everyone was surprised.

Does this guy have a screw loose? Does he even know what a Warlord is?

Is he planning to defeat them and steal the Warlord title?

"Foxy the Silver Fox... I've heard of you. The loser with a 24-million bounty," Mr. 3 said with disdain. "Let me be your opponent. A small fry like you isn't even qualified to challenge Luffy."

"Wait!"

Foxy's mouth twitched. "I said it's not a fight—it's a pirate game! A Davy Back Fight!! Don't tell me you've never heard of it? Are you even pirates?!"

"Davy Back Fight?" Nami raised an eyebrow.

Robin calmly explained, "It's a competition between pirates where the winner can steal members from the loser's crew... or even their flag."

"There's a game like that?" Vivi looked surprised.

"That sounds like a stupid game," said Zoro.

"It's from Honeycomb Island," Luffy added with a smile. "See the weird pirate flag on Foxy's ship? It's not hanging from the mast—it's painted on the hull."

They looked down and indeed saw a graffiti-style flag. Below it were two crossed bones, and above was a skull with what looked like scorched hair.

"This is a symbol of the Rocks Pirates, a legendary pirate crew that ruled the Grand Line before the Pirate King Gol D. Roger. This game was popularized by them, and many of their members were recruited through this method."

Pausing for a moment, Luffy continued, "Of course, the name Rocks was completely erased. And I doubt Foxy even knows the meaning of that symbol."

"Why was it erased?" Nami asked curiously.

"I'll tell you later."

"It's real!" Foxy suddenly shouted.

"And are you going to accept it, or run away like cowards?!"

Mr. 3 adjusted his glasses. "Leave this to me—this trash isn't even worth Luffy's time."

Mr. 2 twirled into a pirouette and struck a fighting pose. "I'm super pumped!"

Luffy, still calmly seated, laughed. "Hahaha! All right, let's play with them."

Sanji and Zoro resumed arguing as usual.

Foxy's pirates had arrived—but little did they know they were challenging a crew in constant evolution.

"Hmph. If you really want to be useful, then entertain me, try to throw those pathetic power stones at me. Let's see if even your insolence can amuse a king."
