"Who are you?!"
Pell and Chaka guarded King Cobra, who had fainted due to the impact of the Conqueror's Haki. They looked at Ikki and Nico Robin approaching with wary expressions.
Although Ikki had already stopped using his Conqueror's Haki, the sudden appearance of these two strangers on the now-silent battlefield made the royal guards naturally suspicious.
"Hey, those swords you two have look impressive," Ikki remarked, glancing at the blades in Pell and Chaka's hands. "So Vivi wasn't exaggerating."
While aboard the Explorer, Vivi had asked Ikki to help in exchange for Pell's sword. At the time, Ikki had speculated that Pell and Chaka might possess grade swords. Now, seeing the weapons in person, Ikki confirmed his suspicion.
After handling famous swords like the Sandai Kitetsu and Shigure, Ikki could naturally identify whether the blades wielded by Pell and Chaka were indeed grade swords.
"Vivi? You know Princess Vivi?" Pell stepped forward immediately upon hearing Vivi's name, pointing his sword at Ikki's neck. "Where is she now?"
"I think it would be better for you to lower your weapons," Robin intervened, stepping beside Ikki. "This man is Princess Vivi's companion. He's the one who used Conqueror's Haki to stop the battle just now."
"Conqueror's Haki? You stopped the fighting?" Chaka asked, looking at Ikki with surprise.
Ikki nodded slightly and pointed at the king behind Chaka and Pell. "Rather than questioning me, you should wake your king as soon as possible. Although I've temporarily stopped the fighting here, it might resume if too much time passes. There are Baroque Works spies in both the Royal Army and the rebel forces who will likely try to reignite the conflict. The woman beside me... consider her my ally. She can help you identify the spies hidden within both armies."
After saying this, Ikki nodded to Robin and prepared to leave.
As for the grade swords in Chaka and Pell's possession, Ikki planned to wait until the Baroque Works incident was completely resolved before challenging them for the blades.
"Wait! Where are you going?" Pell called out. "If you know Princess Vivi's whereabouts, please tell us."
"The person behind this chaos in Alabasta is Crocodile," Ikki explained. "That man went to ambush Vivi and my companions. But don't worry—my crew is strong, and Crocodile won't succeed easily. I'm heading to their location now. You can focus on dealing with the situation here."
"Crocodile is targeting Vivi?" Pell's eyes widened. "No, I'll go too—what?!"
Before Pell could finish, Ikki's figure disappeared in a flash of golden lightning, leaving him to look anxiously at Nico Robin.
"As Captain Ikki said, leave Crocodile to him," Robin reassured them. "You should believe in his power—after all, he just brought down so many people on this battlefield. He will definitely bring Vivi back safely."
"We have more important matters to address. Crocodile has positioned artillery shells nearby that could kill tens of thousands of people instantly. If we don't locate them—"
Purupurupuru... Purupurupuru...
As Robin was speaking, the Den Den Mushi in her pocket suddenly rang. She paused and answered it.
"Hello?"
"It's me, Robin!" Ikki's voice came through. "I've found the location of the bomb—it's on the clock tower in the square. This Crocodile actually set up a time bomb! I've removed it, so you can focus on helping Cobra and the others identify the hidden spies. That's all, goodbye!"
Robin raised her eyebrows and turned to look toward the clock tower. Sure enough, she caught a glimpse of golden lightning flashing past and disappearing into the distance.
"That man is really thorough," Robin chuckled, shaking her head before turning back to Chaka and Pell. "Your princess has found herself a remarkable captain. After this is over, you should thank him properly."
Pell and Chaka exchanged glances. Though they didn't know what had happened to Vivi during this time, they understood that their kingdom was being saved.
"Yes, but the king—" Chaka suddenly remembered Cobra still lying on the ground and quickly moved to wake him.
"Chaka? What happened to me?" Cobra asked groggily. "Why did I suddenly... Wait, what happened to the battle? The rebel army and the royal army!"
"Don't worry, Your Majesty," Pell explained while helping him up. "The battle is over. A remarkable man arrived and single-handedly caused tens of thousands of people to collapse instantly, temporarily halting the conflict. You were also affected by his Conqueror's Haki."
"Vivi found help? And he possesses Conqueror's Haki?" Cobra was stunned, pinching his arm to ensure he wasn't dreaming.
Although Alabasta was located in the first half of the Grand Line, that didn't limit Cobra's knowledge about Conqueror's Haki. He understood that those who wielded such power were extraordinary individuals. The thought of such a person helping Vivi against Crocodile brought him relief.
"Wait! You mentioned a bomb!" Cobra suddenly remembered, turning quickly to Robin. "Where is it now?"
Just as he finished speaking, a massive explosion echoed from the distance.
BOOM!
The thunderous sound made Cobra's eyes widen instantly.
"The timing is perfect—exactly noon," Robin observed, looking into the distance. "That direction... it's an uninhabited desert area. Captain Ikki really thinks of everything."
"The bomb... has been disposed of?" Cobra swallowed in relief, then turned to Robin. "You call him 'Captain'—are you also part of his crew? Can you tell me about his relationship with Vivi?"
At this point, Cobra had not yet recognized Robin as the Devil Child with a 79 million Berry bounty placed on her head when she was only eight years old.
"Crew member? I hope to become Captain Ikki's crewmate in the future," Robin replied with a shake of her head. "As for now, I'm simply a woman who cooperated with him to see a Poneglyph."
"Poneglyph? Are you... Nico Robin?!" Cobra exclaimed.
"Instead of focusing on my identity, shouldn't we address the matter of this war first? There are still many unstable elements among both armies."
"Indeed! Chaka, Pell, you will accompany me and fully cooperate with this... lady," Cobra commanded.
Hearing this, Chaka and Pell were concerned about Robin's identity but reasoned that since she had arrived with Ikki, they could temporarily trust her. They began working together to identify the spies within both armies.
Meanwhile, at Crocodile's position...
"They're finally here. I can't wait any longer."
Looking at three figures running quickly in the distance, Crocodile's lips curled into a sinister smile. His body transformed into a streak of yellow sand and rapidly approached Nami, Nojiko, and Vivi, who was running at the back.
Because Crocodile had turned himself entirely into sand, the trio, who had not yet mastered Observation Haki, didn't immediately sense his presence. It wasn't until Crocodile drew closer and reformed into his physical body that they noticed him.
"Desert Sandstorm!"
Crocodile extended his right hand, unleashing a tornado of yellow sand directly at Nojiko and Nami, who were running in front. The sandstorm expanded rapidly after leaving Crocodile's hand, forming a massive whirlwind that engulfed Nami and Nojiko.
The sudden attack caught them off-guard, sending them flying away as the sandstorm grew larger and carried them into the distance.
"Nami! Nojiko!" Vivi cried out in concern. Just as she moved to help them, Crocodile blocked her path.
"Crocodile! It's you!" Vivi drew Sode no Shirayuki from her waist, her eyes burning with rage as she faced the man who had not only sneak-attacked her friends but was also the mastermind behind Alabasta's chaos. "How dare you attack my comrades!"
"Hehehe, facing me, do you still have time to worry about your friends, Princess Vivi?" Crocodile taunted, taking a deep breath as he checked the pocket watch in his hand. "You've surprised me, Miss Wednesday. The speed at which you were traveling is not something an ordinary princess should be capable of. I'm curious how you acquired such power... but it doesn't matter. You'll be defeated soon anyway, so secrets are irrelevant."
Hearing this, Vivi's eyes narrowed as she gripped her sword tighter and moved toward Crocodile.
"Ah, don't rush, Vivi," Crocodile raised his hand to stop her. "By my calculations, it should be almost time. Just wait—you're about to witness quite a spectacle!"
"What spectacle? Crocodile, what do you mean?" Vivi frowned.
"Haha, just the magnificent sight of Alubarna Square being bombarded by a super bomb, with tens of thousands of soldiers perishing together!"
"Super bomb?" Vivi's eyes widened as she quickly looked in the direction of Alubarna.
At that moment, a massive explosion suddenly roared in the distance.
