A handful of pirate ships, having just made their escape to sea, thought salvation was finally within reach. That hope was shattered in an instant as a barrage of cannon fire rained down from all sides. Cannonballs screamed through the air, slamming into the decks and hulls with relentless fury.

Explosions erupted everywhere.

"It's Marine reinforcements!"

"Hey, what the hell—BOOM!"

"Fight back!"

At that moment, the Buster Call fleet finally arrived.

The sword energy cut straight through the middle of the ships, nearly splitting them in two. Only the legendary craftsmanship of the Buster Call vessels kept them from being destroyed outright. Two of the ships, each commanded by a Vice Admiral, managed to withstand the attack. The rest—helmed by mere Rear Admirals—were utterly wrecked, left dead in the water.

The assault was sudden, but unlike the panic among the pirates, the Marines kept their discipline.

"Cease fire."

"Gather the wounded. Nearby ships, prepare to come alongside."

"Transfer casualties and supplies."

"Pair up—every two ships, move to support those with Vice Admirals aboard."

Vice Admiral Ward Morris issued orders with calm authority, his voice cutting through the chaos and steadying the fleet.

Descending from the sky, Shiki looked over the cheering pirates and grinned.

"Don't panic, you lot."

He stretched out his right hand, flipped his palm, and flicked his fingers.

As if responding to his will, several pirate ships suddenly lifted from the sea, lined up neatly behind him, and hovered in the air.

Only then did the pirates finally breathe easy—many collapsing in tears of relief.

Shiki then turned his gaze toward Rocks' flagship, reaching out and making a grasping motion.

RUMBLE!

The enormous main ship shuddered, brushing aside everything nearby as it tore free from the earth and soared toward Shiki.

The sight of the flying behemoth—and the thought of the person inside—sent a chill through the surrounding pirates. Silence fell instantly; no one dared utter a word as the ship approached.

Shiki arched an eyebrow, as if he understood. He'd seen the countless aged corpses littering the ground on his way here, but paid them no mind. Instead, he threw back his head and laughed.

"Jihahahaha! Linlin, let's join forces! Come conquer the New World with me!"

"I refuse, Shiki."

"Right now... all I want is blood!"

As the flagship settled in midair, a voice echoed from within the cabin.

A tall woman strode out onto the deck. Her clothes, half-melted by magma, exposed long swathes of skin—yet not a soul dared steal a glance.

Shiki simply grinned, saying nothing more. He stood quietly, waiting for someone's arrival.

The moment the word "blood" left her lips, a torrent of murderous intent burst from Charlotte Linlin.

She'd already found a Mythical Zoan fruit and forced Kaido to eat it. His wounds had healed, but the left lung incinerated by magma was gone forever—lost beyond even Devil Fruit miracles.

The loss of an organ would haunt him for life. That, more than anything, was why Charlotte Linlin's killing intent could no longer be contained.

She summoned Zeus. Thunderclouds billowed across the sky, rumbling and flashing. In moments, the storm swallowed the heavens, blotting out every trace of sunlight.

Glaring at the Buster Call fleet arrayed before her, Charlotte Linlin's hatred boiled over. Her voice thundered across land and sea:
