One Piece: Lord of Calamity

Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Channels Opened! Morgans

The interrupted tea party resumed.

However, because Roa and Charlotte Linlin's earlier battle had left the original venue in a mess, the tea party was urgently moved to the castle.

Fortunately, the queen's castle was already quite luxurious and had no shortage of banquet halls to accommodate all the guests.

Thus, soon after, the second half of the tea party officially began in one of the castle's dining halls.

However, this tea party was a bit... unusual.

"Mama mama! So, Roa, are you satisfied?" Charlotte Linlin, with a benevolent smile, asked Roa, who was seated beside her.

Roa gave a thumbs up. "Pure!"

One side of the dining hall had been deliberately cleared. Now, a group of people were slaughtering each other there hysterically. Blood and screams, death and wails, mixed together into a symphony that absolutely should not have been heard at a banquet.

This was a special "meal" Charlotte Linlin had prepared for Roa.

What kind of monster is this guy?

Umit, whose vest was completely drenched in sweat, had wanted to leave ages ago but didn't dare refuse Charlotte Linlin's second tea party invitation.

Is human suffering his gourmet food?

"That's why I said this brat is truly annoying." Stussy's beautiful brows furrowed slightly as she complained softly, "Can't a person even enjoy their meal properly?"

"So, what exactly does this mean?" Morgans whispered, "Is this also Roa's ability?"

"Walk with calamity, feed on calamity," Stussy said with a hint of disgust. "Golden Lion described that kid's ability that way back then."

"Walk with calamity, feed on calamity?" Morgans' eyes gradually lit up.

I've got it!

Tomorrow's newspaper headline is secured!

Calamity Roa is truly a calamity in every sense of the word!

Though Roa was chatting with Charlotte Linlin, he overheard the conversation between these two.

He didn't care much for Stussy's act of revealing his past.

Quite the opposite, in fact, he wished that birdman Morgans would add more fuel to the fire.

The more terrifying his reputation, the easier it was to acquire high-purity dark aura.

"But Auntie Linlin," Roa said, somewhat embarrassed, "preparing such a grand meal especially for me, won't it cause unrest in your country?"

Perospero, sitting on Charlotte Linlin's other side, twitched the corner of his mouth.

You've eaten your fill, and now you're asking this?

"Mama mama! They're just some pirates caught for Mama to extract lifespan from!" Charlotte Linlin said carelessly. "For you to enjoy a good meal, it's just them being recycled waste."

"That's good then!" Roa seemed to let out a sigh of relief. "If I were to cause you trouble, Auntie, how guilty would I be?"

"Little Roa! What a kind and good child!" Charlotte Linlin also had a touched expression.

"I can't take this anymore!" Charlotte Oven rubbed his eyes, looking utterly bewildered. "Roa, what did that guy say to Mama!"

Looking at the two of them, one would think they were actual mother and son, who could have imagined they were fighting tooth and nail just an hour ago?

Mama has never been this gentle with me!

"Because," his fraternal twin, Charlotte Daifuku, sighed, "the Roa of today is worthy of Mama treating him this way."

Oven was instantly speechless.

Yes, Roa, just thirteen years old, already had the qualifications to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Mama.

Not the "future star" of six years ago, but a present-day, apex predator!

"Roa, tell me about your business," Katakuri, his good friend sitting on Roa's other side, asked curiously. "You said you're not a pirate anymore, I'm quite curious what kind of business would make you make that decision."

Roa said casually, "Nothing much, I just felt that if I continued to be a pirate, achieving my dream would be too far off."

"Hahahaha! Haven't given up yet?" Katakuri burst into laughter, bending over. "That so-called gourmet dream!"

"If it were that easy to give up, then what kind of dream would it be?" Roa said earnestly, "I am a man who will stop at nothing for his dream."

"You're still as vicious as ever," Katakuri clicked his tongue in wonder.

He knew what Roa's "dream" meant.

Roa just smiled.

"Mama mama! Isn't that great?" Charlotte Linlin, however, looked approvingly. "A man stopping at nothing for his dream, it's truly touching to think about!"

"Little Roa, Mama will naturally fully support your dream! Weapons, right? Mama will buy as many as you have!"

"Oh! That's too kind of you!" Roa looked surprised and delighted. "However, while our weapons are excellent, they might not be very effective against you, Auntie Linlin."

After all, the enemies of the Big Mom Pirates couldn't be dealt with by just some advanced firearms.

"So, if there's an opportunity, Auntie Linlin, you could try another one of our company's services."

"Oh?" Charlotte Linlin was very supportive. "What would that be?"

"War services." Roa said, "When there's a war, we can send troops to help. If the price is right, I might even participate myself."

"Oh..." Charlotte Linlin nodded slightly.

Sounds pretty good.

If she could truly get Roa's help...

"Mama mama! That's enough serious talk!" Charlotte Linlin laughed heartily. "Little Roa, let Mama try that cake you brought."

Barre and Abel had protected the large cake well.

The atmosphere of the tea party became very pleasant, especially with the backdrop of the fighting pirates.

A little later.

Umit hurried down the corridor.

The man's face showed obvious excitement.

The tea party was over, and he had originally planned to make a run for it.

Charlotte Linlin showed them no respect, and that monster Roa was extremely dangerous.

He really didn't want to stay on this island for long.

But just before he was about to leave, Stussy slipped him a note, saying she was waiting for him in a certain room.

Umit immediately became excited.

Stussy, she was a true beauty.

Umit, only in his early twenties, hadn't yet reached the point where he viewed beauties as mere skeletons.

Even if nothing happened, forming some sort of cooperation with a former Rocks Pirates cadre would be a great thing!

So, Umit rushed to the designated room.

After confirming no one was following him, he pushed the door open.

Stussy was waiting for him inside, her face adorned with a charming smile. "You're finally here, you kept us waiting, Mr. Umit."

Umit's face was flushed, but soon, he realized something was off about Stussy's words.

What did she mean by 'us'?

"Roa wants to see you," Stussy subtly shifted, gesturing for Umit to look behind her.

Umit's gaze was somewhat dazed, and his eyes shifted backward in disbelief, seeing Roa lazily sitting in a chair by the window, gazing at the scenery outside.

The titan of the New World's transportation industry unconsciously swallowed.

Stussy, doesn't she intensely dislike Roa?

What are they planning?

"Alright, Mr. Umit," Roa stretched, stood up, and said leisurely, "Let's discuss our future cooperation."

"Cooperation?" Umit's pupils constricted.

A few minutes later.

"Boss, please allow me to join your team!" Umit knelt on the ground, his gaze towards Roa filled with both fear and fanaticism.

"Mm, good, then Umit, the Transportation Department is yours." Roa nodded, satisfied.

Still, the same old saying: the ability to manipulate negative emotions is incredibly effective on these weak individuals.

He used the same trick he'd used on Judge on this guy, and just like that, he gained another Minister of Transportation.

"..."

Stussy stood beside Roa, trying to maintain a calm expression, but the fear in her eyes was so thick it flowed out no matter how hard she tried to conceal it.

He could actually do something to this extent?

If Roa were to use this ability on her too—

"Are you very scared, little sister Stussy?" Roa turned his head, looking at her with interest.

"How could I be?" Stussy obediently leaned against Roa, playfully acting like a Persian cat. "Whatever big brother Roa does to me, I'll gladly accept."

"Hey, hey, hey, what do you plan to do to a pure young man?" Roa grabbed the woman's restless small hand. "But I like your resolve, little sister Stussy. Of course, I wouldn't use such tricks on you. After all, who would like a doll whose personality has been completely twisted?"

"Oh, big brother Roa, you really scared me." Stussy feigned fright.

"Save the pampering for later," Roa turned his head again, looking towards the door. "You outside the door, have you heard enough?"

Stussy was slightly stunned.

Then her expression changed slightly.

So scared, I forgot to be vigilant!

"Hahahaha! I'm so sorry, I was just passing by!"

The door was pushed open, and a birdman walked in, scratching the back of his head apologetically. "Did I interrupt your flirting?"

Morgans' small eyes constantly darted between the three people in the room.

Umit kneeling on the ground, Stussy leaning on Roa, and Roa himself, smiling at him.

I knew there was something off about Umit, hehe, I've stumbled upon big news again.

Who would have thought that Roa and Stussy had this kind of relationship!

Calling each other 'big brother' and 'little sister,' you two are playing quite the game!

But what should he do now?

"You can begin, Morgans," Roa said with a smile, "I'll give you two minutes to convince me to spare your life."
