Chapter 28: : Training Day Chaos – The Next Generation Team-Up
Bonus Chapter 5
Legacy of the Pirate King: Generation Two Rises
The day started with a boom.
Literally.
An alarm blared across Pirate School's main campus as firecrackers exploded in the sky, spelling out:
"CLASS 3-B: BEST CHAOS MAKERS!"
Everyone knew who was responsible.
Lian. Rin. Lucien. Sera. Mimi.
The five most unpredictable kids in the academy.
Training Assignment: Operation Crew Simulation
The instructor—a grumpy old pirate named Captain Bruiser—growled, "You five will form a temporary crew. Your goal: complete a mission without destroying the island this time."
Lucien raised a hand.
"No promises."
Bruiser sighed. "Your task: infiltrate the 'enemy ship'—a massive floating fortress—and retrieve the stolen treasure before sunset."
Mimi perked up. "What kind of treasure?"
"A pie."
Silence.
Then chaos.
Step 1: Infiltration
The fortress ship was massive—500 feet long, armed with fake cannons, guarded by illusion-powered dummies. The school's top tech and trickery.
Lian cracked his knuckles. "We got this."
Rin leapt ahead, scouting the perimeter. "Four guards on the right flank. Fake, but good illusion magic."
Sera whispered, "I'll disable their memory sensors." Her eyes glowed faint purple.
Mimi rode her mini-lionbot straight up the hull.
Lucien just winked. "Leave the kitchen to me."
Step 2: Chaos
Rin sliced down a hologram samurai mid-air, landing with catlike grace.
Sera rewired the security glyphs using knowledge from Void Century inscriptions. "These systems are child's play."
Lucien kicked open a side door, flipped over two trap mechanisms, and dramatically posed in the hallway. "Did I mention I trained with Aunt Reiju? Explosives and desserts. Best of both worlds."
Meanwhile, Mimi hacked the ship's engine with bubble bombs that sprayed glitter on every surface.
Lian charged straight into the central chamber where the Pie was kept.
Unfortunately, the Pie was booby-trapped with four robot sea-kings, two flame turrets, and a quiz about One Piece trivia.
Lian froze.
Lucien slid beside him. "What's the name of your dad's third crewmate?"
"…Nami?"
"Wrong," Sera called from the hallway. "It's Usopp."
The turret exploded.
Lian ducked, laughing. "This school is insane."
Final Step: The Pie Heist
While Rin blocked robot sword strikes, Mimi redirected the energy core to short-circuit the defenses.
Sera summoned a floating Chrono sigil to freeze the last sea-king's attack mid-bite.
Lucien pirouetted, caught the pie on a silver platter, and bowed with a grin.
"We came. We saw. We baked chaos."
They bolted out as the entire ship began self-destructing in firework-filled glitter explosions—because Mimi had "accidentally" activated the prank protocol.
Victory
The team made it back to the schoolyard with the pie intact—barely.
Instructor Bruiser stared at the sparkling sky behind them, jaw open.
"You five are…"
"Legends?" Lucien offered.
"…Suspended for two days."
They laughed anyway.
That Evening
They sat under a tree on the school grounds, sharing the pie.
Rin leaned against the trunk, eyes closed. "We didn't fail."
Sera cracked a rare smile. "We never do."
Mimi tossed a bubble bomb that popped into glitter stars.
Lucien winked at a passing girl and got a pie in the face from Mimi.
And Lian looked up at the moon.
One day, he would lead a crew like this—wild, chaotic, loyal, brilliant.
The second era of legends had already begun.
