"Everyone from CP9!"

Standing in front of Kai were all the CP9 members who appeared in the City of Water. The one who attacked just now was none other than Rob Lucci.

"King Kai, why did you attack one of our people?" Lucci demanded.

Kai let out a small laugh, his expression shifting to one of mockery.

"You dared provoke me. Isn't it natural for me to attack?"

His smile turned icy. "But don't worry—you'll be joining him soon."

Hearing this, Lucci and the others felt the murderous intent radiating from Kai. To him, they were already corpses.

"Oh, King Kai, there's no need to be so hasty!" A voice called out from behind Lucci before Kai could make his move.

Emerging from the shadows were figures clad in pristine white suits and masks—CP0. The one leading them spoke with calculated calm.

"Kai, don't be so quick to attack. Violence isn't always the answer."

Kai's eyes narrowed, his demeanor turning deadly serious.

"CP0... Looks like I made a mistake letting you go earlier. But it's not too late now. If you've come to provoke me, you've signed your death warrant."

"Do you think we're fools?" the CP0 leader said calmly. "We wouldn't come here knowing your strength unless we were prepared. We've made plans to take you down this time."

Kai's lips curled into a smirk. "Plans? Do enlighten me—how do you plan to kill me?"

The leader continued, unfazed. "Not just you, but Nico Robin as well. She'll join Fire Fist Ace at Marineford for execution. As for the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates? They'll meet their end here."

Kai's expression darkened. "What did you say?" His voice was cold.

"Fire Fist Ace… you captured him? Was it Blackbeard?"

The CP0 operative hesitated, slightly surprised.

"How do you know about that? Few know the truth—it was Blackbeard who handed him over to us. The public believes Marine captured him to protect their reputation."

Kai's face grew grim.

"So, Blackbeard survived…" he muttered. He had warned Ace not to confront Blackbeard, yet the idiot had ignored him.

But he set that thought aside. For now, there was another problem to deal with.

"You said you're here to capture me and Robin for execution? Interesting. Didn't realize the Marine had grown this bold."

Just as Kai was piecing everything together, three more figures stepped out from behind CP0. His eyes narrowed further.

Standing before him were Aokiji, the Tyrant Kuma, and… Garp, the Marine Hero.

Kai couldn't help but chuckle dryly.

"General Aokiji. Hero Garp. Kuma. The government really outdid itself this time."

Aokiji adjusted his bike goggles, speaking in his usual laid-back tone.

"Kai, it's not personal. The government just sees you as too big a threat to ignore. They sent us as backup."

Garp and Kuma remained silent, though Kai noticed a flicker of conflict in Garp's eyes.

Kai smirked. "Ah… Ace. That's why you're here, isn't it?"

Garp flinched, and Kai's suspicions were confirmed. Garp wasn't here to capture Kai—he was here to protect Luffy. One grandson was already in Marine custody; Garp couldn't risk losing the other.

Turning to Robin, Kai used his Observation Haki to project his voice into her mind.

"Robin, run. Get as far away as you can. I'll hold them off."

Robin flinched at the sudden voice in her head but quickly understood. Without hesitation, she turned and fled, knowing she'd only hold Kai back if she stayed.

The CP9 agents reacted instantly, launching into the air with Moonwalk to chase her down. But before they could reach her, a wave of Conqueror's Haki exploded from Kai, crashing into the air and forcing them to plummet like stones.

The sheer force of his Haki left everyone stunned. And when the dust cleared, Kai stood in his demonized form, flames roaring around him as if the gates of hell had opened.

Four duplicates of Kai materialized beside him, each radiating the same overwhelming aura. Together, they unleashed a combined wave of Conqueror's Haki so powerful it left even seasoned fighters trembling.

Kai's voice cut through the tense silence, calm but laced with anger.

"Chasing someone right in front of me? Are you trying to say I'm irrelevant?"
