Chapter 118: The King of Loan Sharks

"Are the ships ready?"

Charlotte ignored the envious looks of the crowd and asked if the ships had been replenished.

"It's ready! We can set sail anytime!" Isaac replied confidently.

"Good. Let's head back. I suppose Rocks has been waiting long enough!"

Charlotte walked toward the port, carrying the Devil Fruits in his arms, with the crew following closely behind.

Tang En watched them leave, a sigh escaping his lips as he turned and headed back to the palace.

Charlotte returned to the ship with a massive haul of treasure.

With more than three billion Baileys in gold and eight Devil Fruits, the voyage had been immensely profitable.

"So much wealth!" Elena gasped, covering her mouth in disbelief as chest after chest of treasure was carried aboard.

Charlotte walked over to her, wrapping an arm around her waist.

"This is nothing! I've seen treasures much grander than this. This is just a small slice of the pie!" he said proudly.

Elena stiffened at his touch. Though she had accepted Charlotte as her husband, she still wasn't used to such intimate gestures.

"Let go! Everyone's watching!" Elena whispered, her face flushed red.

Charlotte grinned, looking around at the crew.

"Who's watching? Anyone who dares to stare will lose their eyes!"

Immediately, the crew turned their backs, pretending to busy themselves. Even Panis and Barrett looked away, their faces slightly flushed.

Seizing the moment, Charlotte leaned in and kissed Elena on the cheek.

Startled, Elena broke free and ran into the cabin, her face burning.

Charlotte chuckled at her reaction. "Alright, men! Set sail for Beehive Island!"

He left the crew to their work and walked into the cabin with the five boxes of Devil Fruits.

"Boss, that was shameless! If I had your audacity, my kids would be spoiled beyond belief!" Paul joked, shaking his head.

Whoosh!

A shockwave burst from the cabin, slamming Paul overboard.

"If you talk nonsense again, I'll cut out your tongue!" Charlotte's voice boomed from inside.

Isaac leaned over the railing, laughing as Paul splashed in the water below. "That's what you get for running your mouth!"

"Shut up and throw me a rope!" Paul shouted, sputtering. Isaac obliged, still chuckling.

In the captain's cabin, Charlotte carefully placed the five boxes into a hidden compartment alongside the three he had previously acquired.

From their shapes, he could tell at least five of the eight were Zoan-type Devil Fruits, given their banana-like appearance.

Lying on his bed, he closed his eyes, letting the rhythmic sway of the ship relax him. His thoughts drifted to recent events.

The "Country of Endless War" would soon be a thing of the past, but the fallout of his actions there was already making waves.

Marine Headquarters

Bang!

"What did you say? Charlotte destroyed five kingdoms after entering the New World? How dare he!"

Admiral Kong slammed his fist on his desk, his bandaged arm a testament to his recent clash with Charlotte.

"Yes, sir. This news comes from the New World G-6 branch and has been confirmed by CP0," the messenger reported calmly, despite Kong's outburst.

Kong slumped into his chair, sighing heavily. Charlotte's rapid recovery and bold actions frustrated him.

"Increase his bounty! Set it at 1.11 billion Baileys. The public needs to see we're doing something about him!"

"Yes, sir!"

The messenger left, and Kong looked around his office, now a mess from his outburst.

"Get someone to clean this up and replace the desk," he muttered, already missing his old assistant.

New World – A Remote Island

"What did you say? All our people in the Country of Endless War were killed by Charlotte? How is that possible? Why would Charlotte target them?!"

Du Feld, the King of Loan Sharks, was livid. He had lent billions of Baileys to the destroyed kingdoms, and Charlotte's actions had rendered his investments worthless.

Slumping into his chair, Feld sighed deeply. He knew there was nothing he could do to retaliate.

Charlotte's strength was legendary, and with Rocks standing behind him, any act of revenge would be suicidal.

Still, as a shrewd businessman, Feld refused to accept a loss without trying to recover something.

Picking up a Den Den Mushi, he dialed a number.

Beile Beile!

"Hahahaha! Long time no see, Shakky! Do you still remember me?" Feld's voice was polite, masking his frustration.

"Hahahaha! How could I forget the infamous King of Loan Sharks? Tell me, what do you want from me?" Shakky replied, her tone amused but sharp.

"I need the contact information of Charlotte, the captain of the Rocks Pirates' 8th Division. Can you help me with that?"

Feld asked, his voice dripping with courtesy, though his eyes burned with determination.
