One Piece : Captain, We’ve Arrived at Laugh Tale

Chapter 127: Chapter 127 : Nami, Your Punch Is Definitely Armed

Luffy and the larger members of the crew suddenly sensed something was off and tried to run, but their excessive weight made it impossible. A wave of nervousness washed over them.

Despite their unease, they instinctively reached for the nearest food and began to eat.

Crash! The island abruptly tilted ninety degrees, and everything on it slid towards the center.

Looking down, the crew was aghast. A colossal mouth had opened in the island's center, its enormous, sharp teeth snapping hungrily, as if anticipating a grand feast.

"Ah! Help!" Nami couldn't help but scream.

Seeing her plight, Sanji used Moonwalk to swiftly reach and catch Nami.

Zoro, Law, Robin, and Mari quickly grabbed onto a large tree trunk to prevent themselves from falling.

However, the heavier members of the crew were in dire straits.

Their excessive eating had made them sluggish and unable to move, let alone save themselves. Even Usopp, despite transforming into a Kozuki Sukiyaki and frantically flapping his wings, couldn't take flight due to his weight.

Luffy attempted Moonwalk, but his bulk prevented it from working.

Failure to save them would likely mean their demise!

Just then, Hercules swung in on a vine, reaching out to grab Usopp's hand. Overjoyed, Usopp immediately stopped flapping his wings and began to fall.

"Heavy!" Hercules exclaimed.

He held on for less than a second before being forced to let go.

Usopp's weight was too much; he couldn't save him. Besides, they weren't close enough for him to sacrifice himself for a stranger.

Usopp plummeted downwards with a scream.

"Usopp! Luffy! Chopper! Jango! Little 3!" Zoro and the others cried out, helpless to assist.

"Hey! Bepo! Shachi! Penguin!" Law also looked anxious; the distance was too great, and his Devil Fruit powers were out of range.

What could they do?

At that moment, Luffy roared, and his previously large frame suddenly began to shrink.

This unexpected transformation stunned everyone into silence, unsure how to react.

"Gum-Gum... Net!"

Luffy stretched his fingers out, intertwining them to form a large net, catching all the falling, heavier crewmates. Then, his rubbery legs extended rapidly, wrapping around two large trees, hoisting everyone to safety.

In an instant, a collective sigh of relief swept through the crew.

"So heavy! You guys ate way too much!" Luffy said with a disgusted look.

"You're one to talk! You ate the most!" Everyone glared and grumbled at Luffy.

It was infuriating. He was clearly the biggest eater, yet he had suddenly returned to his normal size. It was unbelievable and unacceptable.

"Straw Hat-ya, what happened to your body...?" Law directly voiced everyone's confusion.

"Oh, it seems like what Rayleigh-sensei called Life Return. It's a way to convert all the food you eat into energy and store it in your body. I don't know when I learned it, shishishi."

Life Return? Such a strange technique!

It was undeniably convenient—eating without fear of gaining weight, and having a reserve of energy for when food was scarce.

But how did one learn such a trick?

Everyone looked at Luffy and shook their heads.

Luffy was so oblivious; even if he knew what was going on, he likely wouldn't be able to teach it to others. It would be more reliable to ask Rayleigh later.

Thinking of Rayleigh, Inuarashi couldn't help but grit his teeth.

That old man was truly pushing people to their limits. He would definitely give him a piece of his mind upon their return.

Fortunately, it wasn't long before the island belched again, and the tilted land leveled out. More food sprouted from the ground, and the enticing aroma returned.

Luckily, Luffy was already full and didn't insist on eating more.

But the heavier eaters like Usopp and Chopper couldn't resist the delicious scent. They immediately reached out to grab the food.

"Mari, I'm leaving these idiots to you," Nami said, barely containing her anger.

Mari nodded, quickly adjusted her color palette, and painted khaki patterns onto the larger crew members. Instantly, they paused their reaching hands, recoiled, and covered their mouths with expressions of disgust.

"Adapting Colors! The Natural Yellow of Anorexia!"

"You will constantly feel a lack of appetite, even with food in your hands. You'll find it repulsive and won't want to eat it!"

Seeing that the heavier eaters had finally stopped, Nami stepped forward and punched each of them, creating large bumps on their heads that finally snapped them awake.

Robin covered her mouth and giggled. "Ah, Nami seems to be waking up her Armament Haki these days."

Law was also slightly wary of Nami. This female navigator was terrifying; even the captain got beaten when she was angry. Thankfully, he had always been reliable, or he would probably be among those being punished.

"You guys, look at yourselves!" Nami scolded, looking utterly exasperated.

Especially Usopp—he could fly, yet he had lost that ability due to his excessive weight.

This island was indeed dangerous, severely testing one's willpower. No wonder Rayleigh had chosen this place as a training ground; without hard work, death was a real possibility.

"Nami's right, you idiots! Look at what you ate! As your captain, I have to teach you a lesson!" Luffy reprimanded solemnly.

Then, he was furiously punched by Nami, and a large bump instantly appeared on his head.

"You still have the nerve to talk to others? You eat the most! How can you call yourself a captain?!"

"It hurts! I'm sorry!" Luffy apologized with a pitiful expression, completely lacking any captain-like authority.

Law was initially shocked by this dynamic but gradually grew accustomed and numb to it. In his experience, many powerful crews were full of bizarre interactions, so there was no need to be surprised.

Robin smiled again. "Ah, Nami, that punch really hurt Luffy. It must have been Armament Haki."

Nami was also taken aback. She looked at her fist and punched Luffy again. However, while Luffy was knocked to the ground, he didn't cry out in pain, unlike before.

"Just now, did I hit something hard?" Nami wondered, a little confused.

"It seems so, but it wasn't obvious. I guess you can only use it when you're furious," Zoro said uncertainly.

Nami might have awakened Armament Haki?

This news was shocking to everyone. Could the Straw Hats be gaining a new Haki user?

Sanji immediately wiped away tears. "Nami-san is amazing! Even though I haven't awakened it myself, I'm so happy! Damn it! When will I be able to awaken Haki?!"

Zoro said contemptuously, "You'll be the last one to wake up!"
