Naruto: Uchiha's Bizarre Adventure

Chapter 95: Going Out With Nobu

The morning sun filtered softly through the window of Kadoya's house, casting golden light across the futon. Wrapped in the warmth of dawn, the two figures stirred.

Nobunaga shifted first, sliding her leg off Kadoya's stomach. A second later, he groaned and moved his arm from where it had lazily rested across her chest.

They both sat up at the same time, letting out identical yawns in perfect sync. Without saying a word, they rose together and began getting dressed.

They kept it simple, long black pants, sleeveless black shirts that clung snugly to their forms. Both black sandals. Nobunaga, having burned through her magic reserves, couldn't summon her usual ornate outfit and was left with only her signature red cape.

But since her current body shape is nearly identical to Kadoya's, his old clothes also fit her.

"Tie my hair too," Nobunaga said with a sly smirk as she sat cross-legged again, flipping her hair forward.

Kadoya raised an eyebrow.

"You could do it yourself."

"I could," she replied, eyes closed, smiling in that way that said I know exactly what I'm doing. "But it's more fun when someone else does it for you." She glanced at him through half-lidded eyes.

Kadoya sighed playfully, grabbing a tie from the nearby table.

Nobunaga's current age being set at 15-16, her chest area isn't as developed as her older appearance, so right now, wearing Kadoya's clothes and standing beside him, the two look identical to one another, with the only noticeable difference being their height and eye color.

But the Uchiha do know that their Clan Head tends to do cosplay.

So if suddenly Minato Uchiha walks around the Uchiha Compound asking people to dance with him, the surrounding Uchiha would quickly make a run for it, while praying, and promise to visit the unfortunate Uchiha in the hospital.

Kadoya's ability to disguise himself is so strong that even the 'Strongest Hokage' couldn't see through him.

Still, unless both Kadoya and Nobunaga appeared side by side, people might actually believe Nobunaga to be Kadoya, despite the 20 cm difference in height.

"So, what should we do today?" Nobunaga asked, stretching lazily as her crimson eyes scanned the morning light spilling into the room. There was a spark of curiosity in her voice, true to form, she was always eager to explore something new.

Kadoya sipped the last of his tea before answering.

"How about I show you around the Uchiha Compound first? You're part of the clan now, you should at least know the lay of your own territory."

The two talked last night while bathing together, and they both agreed that her identity here should be Nobunaga Uchiha; this way, she will get the full support from the Uchiha, and the other Clans would have to think twice before trying to mess with her.

It is either this or she kept her last name Oda, which this world doesn't have, thereby reducing her position to that of a civilian, making her easy to pick on by other clans.

She doesn't need to be a genius to know which option is better.

Honestly, Nobu is way easier to convince than that useless Saber, who barely listens to him.

Now that he thinks about it, summoning a servant without a proper catalyst usually meant that the servant would be based on how compatible they are with the summoner.

Like how in the Fourth Holy Grail War, Caster, Gilles de Rais, was summoned not because his master had the catalyst to summon him, but because he had the closest personality to the chosen master.

When he first tried to summon Saber, he was hoping for the King of Knight, Artoria Pendragon, so he tried cosplaying as a Saber pretending to be all righteously like a knight despite not being one, which led to the summoning of Erza, who, despite dressing and acting like a knight, is still a mage.

A fake knight summoning a fake knight.

When he summoned Archer, he didn't try to pretend to be someone else and just be himself, which led to Nobunaga being summoned, having not only matching looks but also personality.

...

Kadoya and Nobunaga walked side by side, their presence naturally drawing the attention of villagers and Uchiha alike. Whispers trailed in their wake, some curious, others cautious. Few had ever seen their elusive Clan Head up close, and even fewer expected him to be casually strolling with a woman in identical clothing.

As they walked through the heart of the Uchiha Compound, the two chatted idly.

"The architecture's reminiscent of late Sengoku-period Japan," Nobunaga observed, her gaze scanning the tiled roofs, sliding doors, and carefully maintained courtyards.

Kadoya gave a small nod.

Makes sense. This world pulled a lot from historical Japan.

He glanced at her. "Anything you'd change?"

She shook her head. "No. My understanding of this world is still limited. I'd rather learn more before deciding what's worth changing."

Spoken like a true former daimyo, measured, thoughtful. Nobunaga knew how to balance progress with tradition.

Eventually, they arrived at a modest clothing shop owned by Kintoki Uchiha. The bell above the entrance gave a soft chime as they stepped inside.

"Welcome!" Kintoki greeted cheerfully, offering a warm smile without a hint of recognition.

Fair enough. Only those who had attended the Jonin Evaluation Exams knew what their Clan Head actually looked like. For most Chunin, Genin, and civilians, the Clan Head was more myth than man, an invisible force responsible for the Uchiha's rapid rise in power.

Nobunaga wasted no time browsing. Her eye was immediately drawn to a sleek black hat, eerily similar to her old military cap, though this one was plain, no insignia, no crest. Still, she wore it like it belonged.

She then pick out a few outfits, and Kadoya paid for the clothes without a word, and they exited the shop. As they continued walking, the Jonin on patrol subtly stiffened, then awkwardly looked around, pretending to be busy with nothing in particular. None dared make eye contact.

Only once the Clan Head and his mysterious companion had passed did the tension on the street ease, leaving the Jonin to quietly exhale and return to their patrols.

...

"Kadoya? When did you get so… short?" Kushina asked, squinting at Nobunaga with a mix of confusion and curiosity. She was currently out on a date with Minato when the two caught sight of the unfamiliar girl who looked oddly like their friend.

Minato, however, didn't even blink. His senses were already telling him something was off.

"Kushina… that's not Kadoya."

At that moment, the real Kadoya stepped out of a nearby shop, casually holding two popsicles. He handed one to Nobunaga with a nod.

"As expected of my brother. No way you'd mistake me for someone else."

Minato chuckled softly, a hand resting in his pocket as he eyed the scene.

"Of course. Other people might be fooled, but there's no way I wouldn't recognize you."

His tone carried a quiet confidence, born from a bond that went deeper than appearance.

Even if your shadow changed shape, unless it split off from you and ran away, there is no way you could not recognize your own shadow.

Kushina: "..."

Damn it, Minato! Are you on a date with me or with Kadoya!?

Kushina silently complained, but she didn't say anything. Not wanting to tip Minato off and give him the idea to run off to dance with his brother.

"The name Nobu. Nobunaga Uchiha." Nobu greeted Minato and Kushina with a smile.

"Hi, I'm Kushina Uzumaki." Kushina greeted.

"Minato Namikaze, nice to meet you." Minato greeted back, also smiling brightly.

"Kadoya, how could you two-time Saiguu like this?" Kushina whispered to him with a teasing smile.

"Saiguu and I aren't a thing." He said plainly, indeed, their relationship never passes that friendship line, it's more like she needs his help for power, and he just wants to make her stronger so that the future of the shinobi world wouldn't have to rely on two 16-year-olds with plot armor.

Whoever she gets with is up to her to decide, although now she spends so much time with Orochimaru, would she eventually develop feelings for their sensei, or would she become like him in the future, reproducing asexually?

Kadoya really doesn't care much; this is like how he sees Minato, another one of his investments for the future. If he grew strong enough to change his own fate in the original work, that would be great, but if he still dies, then it really wasn't meant to be.

"So, out on a date with Kushina, huh?" Kadoya teased, a playful smirk tugging at his lips.

Minato chuckled, completely unfazed. "You know how it is. Kushina said she was lonely without me around."

There was a brief silence.

Kadoya raised an eyebrow, giving him a flat look. "You do realize something is wrong, right?"

Minato blinked… then blinked again. "...Ah."

Kushina being lonely?

Here in the Uchiha Compound, as long as she doesn't commit any crime or cause trouble, she won't get the Naruto treatment. Plus, she has been spending time and playing with Erza, Mikoto, sometimes with Nawaki, and even Tsunade.

Even Mikoto's friends don't treat her differently, it's safe to say that the current Kushina has way more friends than the Kushina in the original work. And that still does not count that the big fox is more friendly toward her than in the original work.

"By the way, Kadoya, could you activate Clock Up again for me?" Minato leaned in and lowered his voice. "There's something I want to confirm."

"Sure. Clock Up!"

Without hesitation, Kadoya activated his ninjutsu. A subtle distortion rippled through the air as time around him seemed to slow.

Minato's eyes flashed crimson, his Sharingan whirring to life as he observed.

For a few seconds, they stood silently. Then Kadoya deactivated the technique, and Minato let his Sharingan fade.

Minato gave a small, satisfied nod before pulling out a well-worn notebook and scribbling something inside.

"As I thought... if my hypothesis is correct, then this just might work."

"Oh? Cooking up something new?" Kadoya asked with curiosity.

"Yeah, but it's still in development," Minato replied, vague on purpose.

Kadoya chuckled. After all the time they'd spent together, Minato's speech patterns had mirrored his, always giving just enough to intrigue but never enough to fully explain.

"Umu. Then I wish you luck with your mysterious little project." Kadoya grinned before suddenly remembering something.

"Ah, right. Minato." He pulled out a small, glistening fruit with a faint golden glow and tossed it to his brother. "Eat this."

This is a Hamon Fruit. Kadoya has found out that if he dragged alive opponents or corpses filled with a particular Attribute into the LifeTree, he could generate a fruit based on that attribute.

This fruit began to appear after many of his victims became brain-dead after he fried their brains with Hamon, and fed them to his LifeTree, resulting in this Hamon Fruit.

Minato didn't even blink. He bit into the fruit without hesitation. "...Tastes weird."

"Minato! Don't just eat whatever Kadoya gives you!" Kushina protested, pouting as she punched his arm lightly.

"Relax, he won't poison me," Minato said confidently, chewing as if it were just another apple. After all, he has gotten used to Tiamat's cooking, even Kushina's failed cooking won't be enough to harm his iron stomach.

The four went their separate ways, continuing their dates in peace.

"So that's the woman who stole your Saber?" Nobunaga murmured with a teasing smirk. "She's only so-so. That chest of hers still needs some work."

"Indeed." Kadoya nodded solemnly, playing along without hesitation.

They made their way into the Uchiha Clan Library, where Kadoya began teaching her about chakra, its nature, flow, and how to control it. Unlike Erza, who had to learn how to read and memorize Japanese characters before even getting to the basics, Nobu had no such language barrier.

In fact, she found the concept of chakra fascinating.

"Is there a way to convert this chakra into mana?" she asked, curiosity lighting up her eyes.

"Not sure. Probably once I gain access to mana and learn how to wield it myself. Maybe then we'll figure out a way."

Kadoya was upfront; he had no reason to hide anything from her.

"Then I'll hold you to that." She gave a sharp smile, already counting on him to deliver.

The two walked out to a nearby training ground, ready for her to test what she'd learned.

Nobu tried forming a string of hand seals, focusing on the flow of energy through her body.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

A fireball shot out from her mouth, hitting the ground ahead with a loud boom. It was a solid effort, though far from impressive by Uchiha standards.

"Tch... Half my chakra reserve for that little flame?" she muttered, clearly annoyed.

Her aptitude for ninjutsu was solid, better than most. She could pick up techniques after just a few reads. The only issue now was her limited chakra reserves.

"Still," Kadoya said with a grin, "pulling that off on your first day is impressive."

He already had a plan to fix her chakra problem. There was no need to rush.

"Come," he said, turning to her. "There's somewhere I want to take you."

When it comes to the Naruto world, one must not miss visiting the ramen stand opened by one of the most powerful characters in the Naruto World, Teuchi Otsutsuki, who is rumored to hide the legendary Rinnegan under his closed eyes.

Even when Pain reduced the village to rubble, Teuchi's humble stand remained untouched, still open for business, like nothing had happened.

"Mmm! This is really good!" Nobu praised, slurping her noodles. Her genuine enjoyment earned her a bright grin from the shop owner.

"I'm glad to hear that!" Teuchi beamed. "No need to be shy, eat to your heart's content!" He swiftly went back to preparing extra toppings and bowls for the pair, his hands a blur of godly ramen-making prowess.

After Saiguu and Kushina had ravaged his shop one too many times during their 'hungry episodes,' Kadoya had practically become a VIP-level regular, always paying without hesitation.

He sometimes even has to pull extra shifts, making more food while serving, just to accumulate his VIP customers.

Teuchi could afford to lose customers... but he couldn't afford to lose Kadoya.

While enjoying his meal, Kadoya's ear twitched, picking up a conversation from a nearby customer, his senses sharpening.

"Did you hear? Sakumo Hatake abandoned the mission to save his comrade..." the voice whispered.

"Yeah, they say the mission was critical. Konoha suffered a huge loss because of it."
