Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

In the dead of night, a small, modest wooden villa stood amidst an open field, not far from Tenchi Bridge. While its exterior was plain, the interior was warm and welcoming, furnished with intricately crafted wooden furniture. Naruto and Sakura were fast asleep in one of the rooms, recovering their energy for the upcoming mission.

In the villa's lobby, Kakashi leaned against the windowsill, reading his beloved Icha Icha Violence by moonlight. He glanced up briefly at Kirito, who was tinkering with puppet parts on the sofa.

"I didn't expect you to know this kind of ninjutsu," Kakashi commented. "I always thought you only cared about fighting."

Kirito, without looking up, replied, "Who said my ninjutsu isn't for improving my quality of life?"

Kakashi chuckled, his gaze wandering around the villa. "This is much fancier than Yamato's Four-Pillar House Technique. You've outdone him in style."

Kirito shrugged. "It's a shame Guy-sensei and the others wouldn't appreciate this—they'd see it as a distraction from training."

"Fair enough," Kakashi said, flipping a page. "Aren't you going to sleep?"

"Someone has to keep watch. Tomorrow could involve fighting Orochimaru or even Sasuke. You'll need your strength."

Kakashi hesitated, his grip tightening slightly on his book at the mention of Sasuke. After a moment, he sighed, closed his book, and muttered, "I'll leave it to you."

"Don't worry," Kirito reassured him. "I've scouted the area—there's no one nearby. The target will only arrive tomorrow."

As the sky began to brighten, Kirito finally finished assembling the puppet that had once been Sasori's body.

Perfect, he thought, admiring his work. The puppet stood upright, its movements fluid and precise under Kirito's control. With a bit of extra effort, he had attached a scroll and fitted it with an outer shell to recreate Hiruko's iconic appearance.

"I... am... Sasori," Kirito murmured, testing the puppet's voice modulator. "I am Sasori... of the Red Sand."

Satisfied with his work, Kirito picked up a small leopard that had wandered into the villa and strode outside with Hiruko in tow.

The morning sun shone brightly as Sakura stepped out of the villa, stretching luxuriously.

"This is the most comfortable outdoor camping experience I've ever had," she said, marveling at the villa. "Ninjutsu can be so convenient... I'm starting to envy TenTen and Lee."

Her thoughts drifted to Sasuke. We'll bring you back this time.

As she turned to recheck her gear, she spotted Kirito walking toward the courtyard, Hiruko lumbering behind him.

"Good morning, brother!" Sakura called, jumping down to meet him. "Is it finished?"

"Yep," Kirito said, manipulating Hiruko to extend one of its scissor-like arms in a mock handshake.

Sakura stifled a laugh. "It's a lot less scary now. Almost... funny."

Kirito smirked, leading Hiruko away to conduct a field test while Sakura returned to the villa to wake the others.

By midday, the team had reached Tenchi Bridge, a sturdy structure spanning a deep canyon. The strong winds that swept through the area provided perfect cover for their movements and masked their presence.

Crouched in the bushes near the bridge, Kakashi surveyed the area. "The wind's in our favor. It muffles sound and masks scent. We couldn't ask for better conditions."

Sakura whispered to Kirito, "When do we move?"

"Not yet," Kirito replied softly. "We wait for the right moment. I'll handle the initial contact, and we'll go in when I give the signal."

Naruto, barely able to contain his energy, muttered, "We have to ask him where Sasuke is!"

Kirito smiled faintly. "Don't worry. That'll be the first question."

As if on cue, a hooded figure emerged on the bridge, walking leisurely toward the center. Despite the figure's concealed features, Kirito's Byakugan confirmed his identity.

"It's Kabuto," Kirito said.

Without further delay, Kirito guided Hiruko out of the forest and onto the bridge. The scorpion-like puppet clanked ominously against the wooden planks as it approached Kabuto.

Now, the two stood face-to-face in the middle of Tenchi Bridge.
