Naruto: The Otsutsuki Naruto

Chapter 216: Chapter 216: A New Perspective

The focus of the four resurrected Kage shifted entirely to Naruto—the boy who once knew nothing but now held secrets that even they could not fathom.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, was visibly shaken. "N-Naruto?! Your eyes—what happened to them? And why... why are you associating with Orochimaru?!"

In the convergence of past and future, where all things seemed to renew, Naruto gazed at the familiar face of his former mentor. His tone carried both nostalgia and a deliberate edge.

"Grandpa Hiruzen," he said, "as you can see, this is the reality."

Hiruzen's expression twisted in grief. "Ah... So you've not grown into the person we all hoped for? In the end, it's the hatred of the Nine-Tails that has corrupted you!"

Naruto didn't rush to explain himself. Instead, he observed the reactions of the four Kage, particularly Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage.

As expected, Tobirama couldn't hold back. "Those eyes... They're no ordinary three-tomoe Sharingan. It seems the Uchiha have produced another warmongering lunatic like Madara. Your name is Naruto, is it? Uchiha Naruto, I presume? And you appear to be the Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails."

The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, opened his mouth, attempting to explain. "Actually, he's—"

But Tobirama cut him off. "Fourth, hold your tongue. It's not your turn to speak yet!"

Tobirama turned his sharp gaze to Hiruzen. "Monkey! Why is the Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails among the Uchiha? As Hokage, how could you allow this to happen?!"

Hiruzen tried to interject. "Actually, Naruto is—"

"Enough," Tobirama interrupted again. "I can already guess. The Uzumaki clan has all but vanished, and your bleeding-heart policies toward the Uchiha likely led you to entrust the Nine-Tails to them as a gesture of goodwill."

He narrowed his eyes. "But something doesn't add up. How could the Uchiha's physical energy withstand the chakra of the Nine-Tails and serve as its Jinchūriki?"

At this point, Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage, stepped in to clarify. "Tobirama, you're being too hasty. That boy is not an Uchiha."

Tobirama froze. "Big Brother, what are you saying?"

Hashirama gestured toward Naruto. "Use your sensory abilities and confirm it for yourself. His chakra, centered in his abdomen, spins like a turbine. That's unmistakably the Sea Core Wheel, unique to the Uzumaki clan!"

Tobirama extended his sensory perception and was stunned by what he found.

"An Uzumaki?! Could it be... some kind of cellular theft?!"

Hashirama shook his head. "The power of the Uzumaki clan cannot be stolen through cellular means. You, of all people, should know that, Tobirama."

Tobirama steadied himself, his expression serious. "You... Are you truly of the Uzumaki clan?"

Naruto's voice was resolute. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto!"

Tobirama scrutinized him further. "Then where's your red hair?"

Minato tried again to explain. "Well, that's because—"

"I wasn't asking you," Tobirama snapped, cutting him off once more. "I'm asking Naruto!"

Minato's inner thoughts screamed with urgency. Naruto, just tell him! You inherited my hair color!

But instead, Naruto formed the hand seals for the Needle Jizō technique.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

From the ends of his golden locks, strands of red hair sprouted and extended.

Tobirama's eyes widened in realization. "So... your blonde hair was dyed?!"

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The red hair retracted as Naruto lowered his hands.

"That's right," he said. "After I awakened my full Uzumaki bloodline, I dyed my hair back to gold in honor of my deceased father."

Tobirama nodded approvingly. "I see. So, you're a filial son after all."

Minato, however, was internally despairing. Naruto, I am your father! We've already met inside the seal! Why are you acting like you don't know me?!

Hashirama suddenly noticed an inconsistency. "Wait a moment. If you're a mixed-blood Uzumaki, which member of the Uzumaki clan's cells did you use to awaken your full bloodline?"

Naruto answered plainly. "Your wife, Uzumaki Mito."

Hashirama was stunned. "Mito... She's still alive?!"

Hiruzen shook his head. "During my tenure as Hokage, Lady Mito had already passed away. Her burial site is a closely guarded secret. Naruto, how did you learn of it?"

Orochimaru stepped forward with a sly smile. "I stole the information... and her cells."

Hiruzen's face turned red with fury. "You wretched disciple! You've desecrated the graves of the First and Second Hokage, and now even Lady Mito's?! What have you done?!"

Unperturbed, Orochimaru replied, "Lord First, Lady Mito is currently in Amegakure, reanimated through Edo Tensei."

What?!

The Four Kage were collectively shocked.

Orochimaru continued, "Moreover, Lady Mito willingly chose to remain after recognizing Naruto's potential."

The Four exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of astonishment and contemplation.

Hashirama broke the silence. "Uzumaki Naruto, it seems you carry many secrets. But if Mito has acknowledged you, then I believe you're not a bad person."

Tobirama was less trusting. "Big Brother, it's too early to draw conclusions. Still, if he's an Uzumaki, even if he were to go astray, he wouldn't pose too great a threat. Naruto, answer me this: whose Sharingan do those eyes of yours belong to?"

Naruto replied honestly. "Uchiha Shisui and Uchiha Kagami."

"Kagami?!"

Hiruzen's expression softened with emotion. Kagami had been both Tobirama's student and Hiruzen's peer—a pioneer among the Uchiha who transcended clan boundaries in pursuit of peace.

Tobirama nodded in understanding. "I thought your ocular chakra pathways felt familiar. So, it's Kagami's eyes... and fused with Shisui's Mangekyō to form the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. For an Uzumaki, this is indeed possible."

He then narrowed his eyes. "One more question: what have you done to our souls? Why does this Edo Tensei allow us to surpass our powers from when we were alive?"

Naruto's voice was steady. "It's the power of this eye's ability—Ame-no-Murakumo."

Hashirama asked, "So, young man, what is your purpose in summoning us?"

Naruto's expression turned serious. "I have three objectives, but time is short, so I'll focus on the most important."

"In half a day, I'll face an unprecedentedly powerful enemy. I've only just awakened these eyes and am unfamiliar with their full potential. I hope to spar with the four of you to hone my abilities."

Hashirama inquired, "Who is this enemy?"

Naruto's reply was resolute. "Uchiha Obito."

Swish!!!

Hiruzen and Minato's pupils contracted sharply.

Hashirama turned to them. "Do you know him?"

Hiruzen answered on Minato's behalf. "Obito was Minato's student—a hero of the Third Shinobi War who was believed to have died. We never expected him to still be alive... let alone as an enemy."

Tobirama's gaze darkened. "An Uchiha, of course. A clan born of inherent evil. If he's a threat even to you, then he must be as dangerous as Madara. Fine. I won't ask more. Let's focus on helping you master your ocular powers and then deal with that Uchiha together!"

But Naruto shook his head. "I don't need the four of you to fight him with me. I'll face Obito alone. My second purpose in summoning you is to prevent outside interference during our battle."

Hashirama asked, "What kind of interference?"

Naruto listed the names calmly. "Uchiha Madara, Kabuto Yakushi, and Uchiha Sasuke."

"What?!" Hashirama and Tobirama exclaimed in unison, their shock palpable at the mention of Madara.

Naruto continued, "Madara was reanimated long ago. I've defeated him twice. After joining forces with Obito, he revived himself through other means. He's since learned Sage Mode, similar to Lord First's, and has likely returned to the Shinobi World by now."

Tobirama's voice was sharp. "When did all this happen?"

"Within the past six months," Naruto replied.

Tobirama muttered in disbelief. "The events of these six months could rival a century of Shinobi history. What have we missed?!"

Hashirama asked, "And your third purpose?"

Naruto's gaze darkened. "That's a long story. Let me survive the upcoming battle first, and I'll explain everything in detail."

After a brief deliberation, the Four Kage reached a consensus.

Hashirama spoke first. "Very well. For now, let's focus on the greater good."

Tobirama added reluctantly, "I still don't fully trust you, but..."

He thought silently to himself, Why do I feel this inexplicable sense of kinship? Is it because of his Uzumaki bloodline?

Hiruzen sighed. "Naruto, it seems I was too quick to judge you. After this, I hope you'll explain everything that's happened to you."

Minato's voice was filled with emotion. "Naruto..."

Naruto clapped his hands together decisively. "Alright, since there are no objections, let's begin without delay!"
