Naruto: Strength Through Teaching

Mutsuki guessed that there would be more people for this special training session because the batch of Genin graduating this year were aware of his teaching level, making their willingness to participate stronger. Additionally, Mutsuki had been mentioned in the Konoha newspaper, giving him some local recognition in Konoha.

Although it was mentioned later in the paper, the Konoha newspaper is the only official newspaper in Konoha and is published infrequently, so it carries a lot of weight.

However, Mutsuki was still a bit surprised when the sensei responsible for recording the number of sign-ups came over.

For the fourth grade, it was assumed that the entire grade would participate without issue. Other grades remained the same as before, with eight participants per grade. But the number of Genin who signed up was much higher, totaling three hundred and fifty.

What does this mean? The total number of participants in the special training session Mutsuki was responsible for before wasn't even this many. This time, the number of Genin signing up was even greater than the number of Ninja Academy students.

"Yumi-sensei, what should we do? Should we revise the regulations? The number of participants for this special training is too high," the recording sensei asked Mutsuki.

Originally, there were no specific requirements for Genin to join this special training; anyone who signed up could participate. But the number is so exaggerated, even surpassing the number of students currently enrolled. With so many additional students, the recording sensei felt that Mutsuki might struggle to handle it.

"A total of six hundred and ninety-four participants..." Mutsuki appeared thoughtful.

If it had been the old Mutsuki, he would have had to find a way to reduce the number of participants. Nearly seven hundred people is a lot, and they aren't ordinary people; usually, a typical Ninja squad consists of about this many ninjas.

But things are different now. Mutsuki's current strength is vastly different from the previous year's special training. Not only has his Chakra increased significantly, but his physical strength, Ninjutsu knowledge, and other abilities have also far surpassed before.

"I'll give it a try first. Although the number is slightly higher, it shouldn't be too big of a problem," Mutsuki said after some consideration.

"Ensui, why are you participating in this special training? The Chunin exams start in nine days, and it doesn't seem like you'll gain much strength in such a short time," Inuzuka Midori asked in confusion.

He had learned about Mutsuki's strength from his own Jonin father, and his teaching skills were discovered through inquiries with recently graduated Genin who had experienced last year's summer training.

"There are so many people; Midori feels like she might be at the wrong training ground," Inuzuka Midori said, a bit bewildered by the large number of people at the training site.

She glanced around and estimated that there must be around five to six hundred people there. It seemed unlikely that such a large group could be undergoing special training together.

"It shouldn't be the case," Ensui said with a slight frown.

There were indeed many people. If not for their young appearances and the fact that many of them didn't even have headbands, Ensui might have thought it was a Ninja squad gathering for some mission.

"Ebisu, long time no see! You really came," Kotetsu, who had arrived early at the training ground, said as he searched for Ebisu among the numerous Genin present.

Heaven doesn't disappoint those who work hard. After five minutes of searching, Kotetsu finally spotted the familiar face with sunglasses.

Hearing Kotetsu's words, Izumo also jogged over and said, "It's great to see you again! We really miss the time we spent creating Ninjutsu with you, Ebisu."

Ebisu's mouth twitched. He didn't miss those times at all; they had caused him a lot of trouble, including making him take detours to avoid female students and leaving a bad impression in front of the Third Hokage.

"Hey, isn't this Kotetsu and Izumo? Long time no see," Genma said with a smile, holding a Senbon and waving his hand in greeting.

He was now quite familiar with these two little fans of Ebisu.

Since Genma greeted them, Ebisu had no choice but to respond. He lightly replied, "Yeah, long time no see. Good morning."

Looking at the headbands on Ebisu and Genma, Kotetsu said with envy:

"Genma, did you and the others do missions every day after graduation, making a lot of money, defeating powerful enemies from rival ninja villages, and then rescuing noblewomen to gain recognition…"

"Hahaha." Genma laughed at Kotetsu's words. "Kotetsu, you should read fewer novels. Genin don't have such rich experiences. Newly graduated Genin can't even take on missions outside the village. Most of the time is spent training."

Their team was much weaker compared to Obito's, and with no one in their team to directly request high-rank missions from the Hokage, even with Chen-sensei and Guy, they were always doing D-rank missions.

"However, there are still some interesting things, like the Confusion Jutsu you all developed. Even the strongest Taijutsu Ninja in Konoha fell for it," Genma said, recalling their bell-stealing incident.

Thinking about it now, Genma couldn't help but laugh. Despite all the careful planning and aggressive attacks, they were outdone by Ebisu, who used the Confusion Jutsu to cleverly grab the bell.

Izumo and Kotetsu looked greatly shocked. Even though it was just Taijutsu, being the strongest in that field was impressive. The fact that such a person was also caught by the Confusion Jutsu was quite surprising.

As one of the developers of the Confusion Jutsu, Izumo and Kotetsu instantly felt a sense of pride, their mouths curving upwards uncontrollably.

"Ebisu, I think Confusion Jutsu still has great potential. How about we discuss and develop it further?" Izumo invited Ebisu.

"Are you trying to discuss Ninjutsu?" Genma teased.

As time went on, more and more people gathered at the training ground, making it increasingly noisy.

"I didn't expect everyone to come. It's like we're all gathering together just like back in school."

"After all, this is Yumi-sensei's special training. Originally, when I said I would undergo a month of special training, my sensei was a bit unhappy, but after hearing it was Yumi-sensei, he readily agreed."

"Long time no see. How's life as a Ninja?"

"It's about the same as when I was an intern. Still not allowed to take C-Rank missions."

The students and ninjas gathered in groups to chat, as most of them were close to each other and knew one another.

"Everyone, please quiet down." At eight o'clock, Mutsuki appeared and signaled for silence.

Mutsuki didn't use a loud voice, but most of the people present were students or newly graduated ninjas. Mutsuki's height of 1.8 meters made him stand out in the crowd.

Even those who didn't hear Mutsuki's voice noticed the familiar golden-haired figure, and with nearby students quieting down, this silence quickly spread among all the students. The entire training ground became quiet, and the students watched Mutsuki in silence.

"Many of you are old friends and have attended my classes before. I appreciate everyone's trust. However, there are quite a few people here, so while I'm speaking, please remain quiet until I'm finished," Mutsuki continued.

In a normal small class setting, Mutsuki is quite lenient with student chatter, as a class where nothing is said except for answering questions can be quite dull. But now, with nearly seven hundred students on the training ground, if even one-seventh of them were talking, that would be a hundred people.

"The main components of this special training session are Chakra Control, Taijutsu, basic Ninjutsu, and Chakra Nature Transformation!"
