Chapter 15: Chapter 15: A Fierce Mother Who Loves and Hates Clearly, What Is the True Youth of a Man?
Asuka had already learned about the incident at the Ninja Academy from Ryun.
She did not think her son was at fault, because the Third Hokage had not punished him, which proved Ryun was not wrong.
She did not know why the elder had summoned Ryun, but Asuka instinctively distrusted those people and did not believe they had anything good in mind for Ryun.
So without hesitation, Asuka immediately sent the man away. She did not even care what the elder wanted to say.
Since she had already decided not to return to that place and would not let Ryun go back either, there was no need to worry about their opinions.
"You... Fine, I will report everything here truthfully to the elder."
Uchiha Ken was furious but could only laugh bitterly. After saying this, he left in disgrace.
He did not dare to do anything to Asuka because Konoha Village had laws.
Although the Konoha Military Police Force had the authority to arrest people, they needed sufficient justification. If things escalated, they would be the ones to suffer.
In Uchiha Ken's eyes, Asuka was the kind of "troublemaker" who was unafraid of conflict. Dealing with such people recklessly would only bring trouble.
"Let's go home."
Asuka placed her hand on Ryun's shoulder, pushed him inside, and locked the door behind them.
"Since when did you stop being afraid of him (Uchiha Ken)? Before, you always acted timid around him..."
Asuka spoke up first. Her son's courage had grown, making her wonder if this was really her child...
Noticing Asuka's suspicious gaze, Ryun broke into a cold sweat and gave a half-truth explanation:
"Back in the clan compound, we saw each other all the time, so I had no choice but to avoid him. Now that we've moved, why should I still be afraid of him?"
Asuka was visibly stunned for a moment before a smile slowly spread across her face.
"It seems moving was the right decision."
"I shouldn't have let you live in that gloomy place for so long, making both of us weak and insecure, allowing anyone to bully or humiliate you..."
As she spoke, Asuka gently stroked Ryun's head, her heart aching for him.
The Uchiha clan was very exclusionary. After marrying Uchiha Mori, Asuka endured many hardships and faced countless scornful looks.
But this woman was clear in her love and hatred. She disliked the Uchiha clan, but she had always deeply loved Uchiha Mori.
Even now, she never once complained or said, "I shouldn't have married into the Uchiha clan." She did not regret marrying Uchiha Mori.
Because it was through him that she now had Uchiha Ryun.
"Things will keep getting better... From now on, if anyone dares to humiliate me, I'll beat them up. If anyone dares to bully you, I'll kill them!"
Ryun spoke his mind, his tone firm and resolute.
Hearing this, Asuka couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"Haha... You can't just resort to violence all the time. I just want you to grow up safely and live happily."
Asuka hugged Ryun tightly as she spoke.
"..."
The overwhelming maternal love made him "suffocate." Ryun's face turned red as he struggled free.
"Mom, I'm going to train now..."
"Go ahead, go ahead... Do your best!"
Soon, the sounds of strikes against wooden posts and sandbags echoed through the yard.
Ryun could make noise early in the evening, but not late at night, because Asuka had to wake up early every day for work to support the family. She needed sufficient sleep.
After exhausting his physical energy in the yard, Ryun took a cold shower and returned to his room.
He sat at his desk and quietly studied the few ninjutsu scrolls left behind by his father.
Uchiha Mori was only a Chunin and did not know many techniques.
He left behind the Shadow Clone Technique, two C-rank Fire Release techniques, and one C-rank Genjutsu.
Of course, if the basic Academy techniques (Transformation, Replacement, and Clone Techniques) and kunai throwing were included, his skill set wasn't too shabby.
"Shadow Clone Technique!"
Ryun formed hand seals and activated the technique.
With a poof, an identical clone appeared beside him.
"Easier than I expected..." Ryun chuckled.
With his powerful mental energy, he learned everything quickly, especially Genjutsu.
It was a shame his father, Uchiha Mori, was not skilled in Genjutsu and only left behind one minor illusion technique.
"Should I use a shadow clone to attend classes in my place?" Ryun considered the idea.
In the original story, Uchiha Itachi had done the same.
Given Ryun's mental energy, this was entirely feasible.
However, he was worried the clone might be exposed. Standing out too much could attract unwanted attention.
Laying low in the early stages was crucial. If possible, Ryun even wanted to stay hidden until the very end... though that was unlikely.
"Forget it, I'll think about it later..."
Ryun put away the scroll and lay down on his futon, quickly falling asleep.
The next morning, as usual, he woke up early and went out for a run around Konoha.
"I don't need to run too far. Just 200 meters more than yesterday each day..."
With this goal in mind, Ryun set off energetically.
"Hmm?"
As he ran, sweating profusely and reaching the halfway point of yesterday's distance, a figure clad in green suddenly appeared in his line of sight.
The figure felt both familiar and unfamiliar.
"Yo? Little brother, you're running again today? Not bad! I've never seen such a hardworking Academy student before..."
The green-clad figure approached and struck up a conversation, his face wearing a pure and friendly smile. He seemed like an easygoing person.
Green jumpsuit, thick eyebrows, bowl cut, and shining white teeth... This must be... Might Guy's father!
Ryun was surprised but kept a straight face.
"Yeah... Uncle, you're out for a morning run too?"
Hearing this, Might Dai stumbled and fell face-first.
"Don't call me uncle! I'm not married yet... Just call me big brother." Might Dai wiped away sweat awkwardly.
"Got it. What's your name, old bro?" Ryun continued running as he spoke.
"I'm Might Dai. You can call me Dai-nii."
Might Dai gave a thumbs-up, flashing his signature "Guy-style" bright smile.
"..."
Ryun's 24K pure gold Sharingan eyes were nearly blinded by those gleaming white teeth.
"I'm Uchiha Ryun. Please take care of me from now on, Dai-nii."
"An Uchiha kid!" Might Dai was visibly surprised, instinctively glancing at Ryun's hair.
Ryun's hair was black with a hint of purple, a rare trait even among the Uchiha clan.
No, it was more accurate to say it was unique in all of Konoha.
Not pure black, but not exactly purple either—hence why some called him "little mutt."
"Ryun, you're up so early. Don't you have school today?" Might Dai asked curiously.
"I do. After finishing today's run, I'll go home to eat and then head to the Academy..."
"Really? Little bro, you're so diligent!" Might Dai exclaimed, feeling like he had met a kindred spirit.
"Not really... I just think youth shouldn't be wasted in bed..."
Ryun stopped running, pointing at the rising sun before wiping sweat from his forehead and letting it drip from his fingers.
"See? The sweat shed under the morning sun is the true youth of a man!"
Might Dai's mind was blown. The next moment, he covered his face and sobbed.
"Th-that was beautifully said!"
Might Dai wiped away tears with his arm. He never expected his soulmate to be an Academy student...
The thought alone made his tears flow uncontrollably.
