"Everything must be tried to know the outcome. Besides, we're not losing anything, are we? At most, we're just spending a little time."

Certainty?

This was Uchiha Obito we were talking about—since when did he need certainty?

Kazuki was absolutely sure Obito would come once he received the message.

Because that other Sharingan was the last gift he had given to his comrade before his descent into darkness. Obito would never allow anyone to destroy that eye.

Moreover, spreading this message was equivalent to telling Obito: We've uncovered your identity.

Stop hiding—it's pointless.

Since he'd already been exposed, what was the point of hiding?

He might as well just show up!

Besides, Obito was confident he could leave safely.

"Senior, are you saying… that fake 'Madara Uchiha' might actually be Obito? Uchiha Obito?"

Upon hearing this revelation from Shikaku, Kakashi felt as if he had been struck by lightning, freezing in place.

"According to the Advisor's speculation, it's him. But whether it's true or not depends on whether he actually appears. If he does, then the Advisor's deduction is correct."

Shikaku's expression was grave as he continued:

"Though I still can't understand how Obito—someone who should have died on the battlefield—could reappear and even seek revenge against the village, targeting his own teacher and his wife."

"It's Rin…"

Kakashi seemed to have lost all strength in his body, slumping weakly into a chair. He clutched his silver hair in agony.

"If this person really is Obito… then there's only one reason for his revenge: Rin."

They had been classmates, comrades, friends—and even rivals in certain ways.

Kakashi knew Obito had loved Rin deeply, to the very core of his being.

But Rin had died—on the battlefield, no less—killed by his own hand.

Memories he had long refused to confront now surged to the surface.

Shikaku sighed and patted his shoulder in silent consolation.

After the battle in Amegakure, the Akatsuki organization had completely retreated into the shadows, hiding underground.

Though the Five Great Villages had suffered heavy losses in this battle, Akatsuki hadn't come out unscathed either.

Nearly all of the organization's accumulated strength had been exhausted, and Nagato had nearly gotten himself killed.

Sasori had fallen in battle, crushed to death by the Planetary Devastation.

Kakuzu had lost three of his hearts.

The only ones left completely unharmed were Obito and Black Zetsu.

"The Bounty Guild has some information that might interest you."

Black Zetsu emerged slowly from the ground, handing a scroll to Obito, who sat motionless in his chair like a statue, lost in thought.

"Oh?"

Obito didn't think much of it. "Is it about the Five Great Villages' threats?"

Black Zetsu remained silent, simply staring at him.

Obito raised an eyebrow and unsealed the scroll. A few seconds later, his visible eye contracted sharply, and he shot to his feet in shock.

"This is what you call 'interesting' information?!"

He turned and glared coldly at Black Zetsu. Are you fucking kidding me?

I've been exposed!!

And you're telling me I'd be interested in this?!

"Damn it!!"

Obito hadn't expected his meticulously maintained cover to be blown so easily.

"How did they figure it out?"

"It's likely related to Lord Madara's ocular techniques."

Even Black Zetsu had been startled upon receiving this intel.

After careful analysis, he concluded that the biggest clue had to be Madara's unique dōjutsu.

"Ocular techniques?"

Beneath his mask, Obito's brow furrowed.

They deduced his identity just from that?

Seeing Obito's confusion, Black Zetsu explained:

"Based on my deductions, your identity was most likely uncovered by someone from Konoha—specifically, an Uchiha. And if I had to guess, it's probably Uchiha Kazuki. Lord Madara led the Uchiha clan in battle against the Senju during the Warring States Era. The Uchiha must have historical records about him. Lord Madara never used a space-time dōjutsu like Kamui. Starting from that point, they could have pieced together many revealing clues."

"Didn't you say you checked all the records and scrolls in the Uchiha shrine?"

Obito's tone was thick with displeasure. He felt like Black Zetsu had screwed him over.

Where's your so-called 'assurance' now? Is this how you handle things?

Faced with Obito's accusation, Black Zetsu could only sigh.

"Perhaps the records were stored elsewhere. After the Nine-Tails incident, Konoha's distrust of the Uchiha was at an all-time high. They were constantly under scrutiny. The Uchiha may have stumbled upon evidence while trying to clear their name."

Black Zetsu couldn't be sure whether the Uchiha had detailed archives on Madara's abilities.

He had thoroughly searched their records—but what if something had been missed?

There was no way to know for certain. After all, Madara had been the Uchiha clan's leader, a figure revered by his people. If some clansmen had secretly documented his techniques, it would have been impossible to detect.

Moreover, Madara's dōjutsu and ninjutsu were hardly secrets—after decades of war, some things simply couldn't stay hidden.

"Then tell me, what do we do now? If Nagato and Konan find out, they'll never cooperate with us sincerely. And the Five Great Villages—how dare they threaten me!!!"

Bastards! They actually want to destroy the last gift I left for Kakashi!

This was a blatant provocation—a direct challenge.

They were telling Uchiha Obito: We know who you are. Now we're going to destroy your other Sharingan. Whether you show up or not is up to you—just don't regret it later.

Losing a Sharingan would significantly weaken him, and Obito knew it.

After a furious outburst, Obito gradually calmed down.

"Whatever. Nagato never trusted us to begin with. As long as we maintain control over the Rinnegan, nothing else matters."

The Five Great Villages had deliberately spread this message through bounty stations across their territories to ensure Obito would receive it immediately—forcing him to act.

They had even set a deadline.

Meet us at the ruins of Amegakure. If you don't show up, your Sharingan is as good as gone.

At the camp, Ōnoki couldn't help but ask:

"Kazuki, are you sure we don't need to set up any traps?"

Kazuki's plan was to force Obito into the open, yet he wasn't making any preparations beyond exposing his identity.

Ōnoki and the others were uneasy—they wanted to seize this chance to capture Obito and extract more intel.

Understanding their intentions, Kazuki shrugged helplessly.

"If you don't trust me, then by all means, set up whatever traps you think will work. My primary goal is to expose him, not capture him. You all know how troublesome space-time ninjutsu and dōjutsu can be."

Setting traps to catch Obito?

Wishful thinking. Obito wasn't someone who could be caught so easily.

Without countering Kamui's intangibility, capturing him was impossible.

There were only two ways to do it: either use the other Kamui Sharingan to interfere or employ sealing techniques to lock down space and prevent his escape.

Unfortunately, the first option wasn't feasible, and the second was even harder to pull off.
