Naruto: Reborn with the Template System

At a shrine near the border of the Land of Fire and the Land of Rain, Pain, Kakuzu, Sasori, Zetsu, Kisame, and other members of the Akatsuki organization were gathered.

As two figures approached, Pain announced calmly, "The new members have arrived."

Wearing the Akatsuki's red cloud on black robes, Orochimaru turned his head, and his snake-like eyes narrowed as he recognized them.

"Uchiha Shisui! Uchiha Itachi!"

Meanwhile, in a small village on the border of the Land of Water

Guts arrived with Terumi Mei. Alongside them were a few familiar Konoha shinobi: Hatake Kakashi, Might Guy, and Shiranui Genma—old classmates.

Others like Yamanaka Inoichi and Akimichi Choza were once subordinates of Namikaze Minato. Guts wasn't particularly close to them, but he felt their support was more than enough.

Anko had wanted to come along but was ultimately left behind. Since she openly wielded the Samehada, it wouldn't be appropriate for her to bring it into Mist territory, even if Terumi Mei had permitted it.

More importantly, after the operation's success, an official alliance between Konoha and the Hidden Mist would be formed.

Upon arriving, Guts and Terumi Mei met nearly a thousand Mist shinobi, veterans of the Third Great Ninja War, all opposed to Yagura's Bloody Mist rule. These were the rebels Terumi Mei had been gathering for years.

Though they once stood as enemies in the Ninja World, they now fought for a shared cause. Helping to reclaim the village erased any grudges.

Of course, Guts knew Obito would be aware of this gathering, White Zetsu's intel-gathering ability was too formidable.

Still, unless Obito brought the entire Akatsuki to Kirigakure, this war was already won.

Obito might use Kamui to escape, but that wouldn't save him against an army.

The 1000-strong rebel force was divided into three units:

Guts

Terumi Mei

Ao (leading the perception unit)

Guts and Terumi Mei would attack Kirigakure from the two main roads, while Ao's team would cut off Yagura's retreat from the rear.

While running, Guts smirked and glanced back at Kakashi. "Kakashi, this mission might just bring you an unexpected surprise."

Kakashi furrowed his brow. "What do you mean?"

Guts offered no reply, which only made Kakashi more restless.

"Lord Guts! They're coming!" shouted a Hyūga shinobi, his Byakugan veins bulging.

"Three kilometers ahead! Estimated enemy force: around 600!"

The scout's name was Hyūga Tokuma—one of the Hyūga clan's top ten jōnin.

"Heh~."

Guts smirked. Suddenly, his Conqueror's Haki exploded like red lightning.

BOOM!

A wave of overwhelming pressure surged outward. Birds took flight in terror. Trees cracked and split apart.

Hyūga Tokuma gasped, "Incredible… over a hundred were knocked out instantly!"

"No matter how many times I see it, it's terrifying," Choza muttered. "He might not be far behind Lord First Hokage."

Guts calmly replied, "The rest...at least the jōnin-level ones...are yours. My only target is Yagura."

From ahead, Mist shinobi who resisted the Conqueror's Haki charged forward.

Leading them was a young man wielding a massive flounder blade, one of the Seven Ninja Swords.

Kakashi yelled, "That's one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen!"

"Leaf Hurricane!"

Might Guy clashed directly with that random guy, his kick striking the blade with equal force.

Thumbs up, Guy grinned. "Go, Guts! We've got this covered!"

"Thanks, Guy," Guts grinned, returned the thumbs-up, then blurred forward like a streak of light.

None of the Mist jōnin could react fast enough.

As they turned to pursue, Kakashi, Genma, Inoichi, and the others intercepted them.

The battle began.

Terumi Mei's troops couldn't match Guts's speed.

When he arrived at Kirigakure's gates, guards immediately tried to stop him.

Guts clenched his right fist.

"Iron Fist Impact!"

BOOM!!

The shockwave from his punch obliterated the gate and sent the Mist guards flying.

Between the bodies and the splintered gate, Guts walked forward, fists still crackling.

"You can't escape my sight," he murmured, eyes flashing red, Observation Haki activated.

Puff! Puff!

Suddenly, coral burst from the ground and latched onto his heel.

"Oh? Coral Binding Technique. I've heard of this, it's said to be usable only by the Fourth Mizukage, the Jinchūriki of the Three Tails."

The coral crept up to his knees, but Guts remained calm.

"Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique!"

An enormous wave of water surged toward Guts, more powerful than any jutsu from Zabuza in the anime.
