NARUTO: Ninja World Scientific Revolution

Chapter 7: CHAPTER 7 - Heading to Konoha Hospital for Training

The Hyuga Clan's dedicated training grounds were filled with the energy of seven or eight children, aged between five and ten. Most of them belonged to the branch family, though one or two from the main family were also present.

The instructor, a branch family Jōnin, was proficient in teaching the Gentle Fist. Though his expertise had its limits, it was more than adequate for children of this age group. Even for the main family, the guidance of a Jōnin held significant value.

Of course, upon returning home, the main family children would receive further training in secret techniques inaccessible to the branch family—techniques such as the Eight Trigrams: One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms or the Eight Trigrams Palms: Rotation.

At the center of the training field, two individuals sparred. One was Hyuga Mirai, and his opponent was Kiyo Hyuga from the main family.

Having spent a year at the Ninja Academy, Hyuga Mirai had already earned the reputation of a "genius." However, this title referred more to his performance in theoretical studies rather than combat—unlike Kakashi Hatake, the widely acknowledged prodigy.

While Kakashi's theoretical scores were not as high as Mirai's, his combat abilities were already comparable to those of an average Genin. Rumors were circulating that Kakashi had applied for early graduation, and once approved, he would officially become a ninja of Konoha.

Despite only a year of schooling, Kakashi was on the verge of achieving what most would consider remarkable—earning the title of a ninja. His reputation as a genius had spread not only through the academy but also among the clans and even the upper echelons of Konoha, where he was recognized as the son of the renowned White Fang.

Meanwhile, Hyuga Mirai found himself labeled a "bookworm." Although his perfect scores in theoretical courses made him the teachers' go-to example, they also garnered resentment from some students. Mirai's lackluster performance in practical combat only fueled this sentiment further.

Mirai spent much of his time engrossed in books, sometimes carrying an entire stack filled with various specialized topics. In shuriken-throwing, practical combat, and ninjutsu classes, his performance was decent but nowhere near the top of Class B, let alone the entire grade.

With aspirations of becoming a medical ninja, Mirai maintained a studious demeanor, solidifying his "bookworm" image among classmates, teachers, and even clan members.

Unbeknownst to others, however, Mirai dedicated himself to secret training. Each time he ventured out to practice, he treated it as an exercise in evasion tactics, ensuring he wasn't followed. Only in secluded areas, far enough from the village to avoid detection, did he commit himself to rigorous training.

Mirai had already mastered the Clone Technique, Substitution Technique, and Transformation Technique. He had completed tree climbing and water walking at home and advanced his Gentle Fist to the level of Thirty-Two Palms. Except for his chakra reserves and lack of combat experience, his strength was nearing that of a Chūnin.

Driven by the knowledge of the dangerous years ahead, Mirai pushed himself relentlessly, foregoing rest and leisure. He either trained or absorbed knowledge, shaping himself into a true genius. Thanks to careful concealment, no one had yet discovered his true capabilities.

Bang!

Smack!

During his sparring match with Kiyo Hyuga, Mirai held his ground for dozens of moves before deliberately exposing a glaring weakness while launching an overzealous attack with the Gentle Fist.

Kiyo Hyuga predictably seized the opportunity, delivering a clean strike that sent Mirai sprawling onto the ground.

"Kiyo Hyuga wins!"

The branch family Jōnin declared the result, prompting Kiyo to lower her stance. A mix of satisfaction and disappointment flickered across her face as she scolded Mirai, "Don't rush during a fight! Your Gentle Fist foundations are still lacking. Being overly aggressive will only expose you to unnecessary risks."

Climbing to his feet and dusting himself off, Mirai forced a sheepish smile. "Understood, but it's only natural that I'm no match for you, Lady Kiyo. You train far harder than I do."

Kiyo frowned at his response and retorted, "Regardless, you need to practice more. Stop burying yourself in books all day! The Hyuga Clan shouldn't be tarnished by the reputation of having a bookworm!"

"She's absolutely right," interjected Zosuke Hyuga, his tone stern. "As Lady Kiyo's guardian, you must not bring shame to her name!"

"I understand, Lord Zosuke," Mirai replied promptly, careful not to argue or reason with him—a lesson hard-earned over the past year.

Debating with someone like Zosuke, Mirai had realized, was a guaranteed loss.

"Lady Kiyo, Lord Zosuke," Mirai began cautiously, "I'd like to request permission to observe and intern at Konoha Hospital."

"Hyuga Mirai!" Zosuke immediately raised his voice, ready to reprimand him for such a suggestion, especially after just being ordered to focus on his Gentle Fist training.

"Let him go," Kiyo interrupted, her tone calm yet decisive. "If Hyuga Mirai has a talent for medical ninjutsu, it could be an asset to the Hyuga Clan."

Zosuke hesitated before bowing slightly. "As you wish, Lady Kiyo. I'll handle the application and inform you when it's approved."

Mirai's face lit up with gratitude. "Thank you, Lady Kiyo. Thank you, Lord Zosuke."

Finally, his efforts bore fruit. After months of subtly influencing Kiyo's perspective on the importance of medical ninjas, she had spoken on his behalf at the critical moment.

Once he gained access to Konoha Hospital, Mirai planned to showcase his talent in medical ninjutsu unapologetically. Even if it meant scaling back his other training, he was determined to make his mark as a medical ninja in Konoha.

Returning home, Mirai engaged in his routine physical exercises before diving into medical texts late into the night. When he finally lay in bed, he summoned the system he had long relied on.

"System!"

At his mental command, a translucent panel materialized in his vision:
