Naruto: Imitation Ninja

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Five Years Later

Time passed second by second. Over the past few years, countless major and minor events had taken place.

The Uchiha clan massacre, Orochimaru's attack on Konoha Village, the sacrifice of the Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen…

As a transmigrator, Xingliu could have easily prevented these tragedies. However, after altering one person's fate, he was sternly warned by an old man claiming to be a "god."

From then on, Xingliu acted cautiously, avoiding excessive interference with the ninja world to prevent significant changes.

Five Years Later, Ninja Academy, Konoha Village

On the podium, a man wearing a specially designed Jonin jacket was giving a lecture to the students seated below.

"Chakra is a special energy that enables us ninjas to perform jutsu. The strength of the jutsu we can master is closely related to the amount of chakra we possess..."

The man explained the principles of chakra, writing and drawing on the blackboard while addressing the students in front of him.

Initially, the students were enthusiastic, soaking in the knowledge. But as time dragged on, some began to doze off, slumping onto their desks.

Noticing this, the man's gaze settled on a boy wearing an orange jacket. Without hesitation, he raised his hand and shot a small water bullet at him.

Splash!

The boy was startled awake by the sudden impact.

"Who did that? Who woke me up?"

The boy stood up, glancing around at his classmates, only to find them all looking at him with amused expressions.

But before the boy could get an answer, he sensed the sharp gaze of the man on the podium. Slowly raising his head, he saw the man smiling at him—though it wasn't exactly a friendly smile.

"Uncle Xingliu... No, Teacher Xingliu! I was wrong!" The boy, initially about to call him uncle, quickly corrected himself after catching the man's "stern" gaze. Bowing his head, he began apologizing earnestly.

The man on the podium, Xingliu, shook his head helplessly at the boy's apology. He sighed and said, "Naruto, this is already the third time this week you've promised to behave, isn't it?"

"While I know you've managed to successfully gather chakra, don't you realize that for some advancement exams, theory is even more important than practice?"

Looking at the boy scratching his head awkwardly, who would have thought that this same boy would one day become the hero who saved the ninja world? Even more surprising, he would be the first Genin in history to rise to the position of Hokage.

Of course, before taking over the title of Hokage from Kakashi, Naruto still had to catch up on the foundational knowledge he'd missed.

"I really know I was wrong this time! Please don't tell my mom again, or I'll be forced to listen to her lecture me all night!" Naruto pouted, his tone pleading.

Naruto's mother, naturally, was Kushina. However, since Minato had survived the great battle this time, Naruto wasn't known as "Uzumaki Naruto" but rather as "Namikaze Naruto."

Though Xingliu found the name slightly awkward, it only underscored Naruto's princely status in Konoha.

After all, since the Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen perished alongside Orochimaru during their battle, Minato had taken over as the next Hokage.

According to the original storyline, this role should have gone to Tsunade as the Fifth Hokage. But Xingliu's unexpected arrival erased that possibility from history's script.

The bell signaling the end of class rang out, and many students bolted from the classroom like a flood bursting through a dam. Only a few who were close to Naruto stayed behind, "worried" about him.

"Hehe, that fool Naruto is going to get punished by the teacher again," teased a boy with a small dog perched on his head.

"Kiba, please don't say that about Naruto-kun. Maybe he was just tired and fell asleep during class," said a shy girl timidly defending Naruto.

"Don't be silly, Hinata. With Naruto's personality, do you really think he was tired from class?" The boy sitting in front of Hinata, Shino, chimed in.

But Shino himself was an odd one. Why would anyone wear a fully enclosed coat and sunglasses indoors, especially in such sweltering heat? Could he even see properly through those glasses?

"Hey, Sakura, how do you feel about someone that weird liking you? Must be annoying, right?" asked a silver-haired girl with a ponytail.

"Huh? Did someone say something just now?" Sakura, who had been daydreaming about her "cool" crush, looked puzzled. "Ino, what nonsense are you babbling about now?"

"You violent maniac! I asked how you feel about someone weird liking you!" Ino, apparently irked by Sakura's response, repeated her question louder.

"Ah, they're at it again..."

A boy with spiky pineapple-like hair sighed as he watched the brewing clash between the two girls.

"Crunch... Shikamaru, don't you usually find these things troublesome?" asked the chubby boy next to him while munching on a bag of chips.

Shikamaru glanced at the boy stuffing his face. "Choji, could you not talk while eating? It's rude."

"Oops, my bad. I'll finish this first," Choji replied, returning his focus to his snack.

Back on the podium, Xingliu, feeling the chaotic atmosphere in the classroom, decided he didn't have the energy to continue scolding Naruto. After giving him a few more reminders, he left the classroom.

---

"Handling these kids is best left to the professionals," Xingliu muttered.

Yes, he had decided to inform Kushina about Naruto's behavior.

If he couldn't discipline his nephew, it was best to leave him to his natural nemesis. Plus, it would be a good excuse to enjoy a free meal at Minato's house. Why not?
