Naruto: I Can Take People Through the Ninja World in the Future

Chapter 639: Instigating Parallel World 2 Madara

Parallel World 2, on the moon.

Lux sent Parallel World 2 Madara back here. When captured earlier, Madara was rampaging on the moon, annihilating Hamura's descendants.

The destruction was immense!

From the moment Madara set foot on the moon to wiping out the main and branch Ōtsutsuki families, it took less than half a day.

Though the main and branch Ōtsutsuki families on the moon hadn't fully split, Madara in this world hadn't awakened the Rinnegan or used it to summon and steal the sealed Gedo Mazo.

Originally, Madara stealing the Gedo Mazo led to destroying the moon's branch Ōtsutsuki family, forcing them to wage war against the main family to hasten merging into a giant Tenseigan and advance the plan to destroy the ninja world below…

But now, Madara's early intervention naturally halted the conflict between the moon's main and branch families.

Madara's arrogance and pride meant he wouldn't negotiate politely with the moon Ōtsutsuki; he attacked forcefully upon arrival.

This forced the main and branch families to unite against Madara.

Even together, they couldn't defeat him.

Though Madara now lacked one Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, it didn't greatly affect his overall strength. He could still unleash Perfect Susano'o and use Wood Release.

In his prime, he was slightly stronger than Parallel World 1 Madara.

Truly the peak of Super Kage level.

In that state, Madara had the power to single-handedly sweep the moon Ōtsutsuki. Even the two leaders of the main and branch families, both Super Kage level, were no match.

Madara crushed and dominated, storming the moon Ōtsutsuki's stronghold, capturing many of their warriors.

Using genjutsu, Madara easily extracted much information from the moon Ōtsutsuki.

Though the branch family misinterpreted Hamura's will, the tales of the Rabbit Goddess and Rikudō Sennin passed down by Hamura were largely complete.

After learning this, despite his stubbornness, Madara realized something was off.

He understood Infinite Tsukuyomi might be a massive trap!

Before he could dig deeper into the truth, Lux abruptly pulled him to Parallel World 5 to fight in his stead.

This extraordinary experience and witnessing Nagato made Parallel World 2 Madara's trip worthwhile.

At least, he fully realized Infinite Tsukuyomi's falsehood.

That was already invaluable.

It could prevent him from becoming like the horrific Parallel World 5 Madara!

Just thinking that he might die of old age, be revived with Edo Tensei, and become a repulsive version of himself filled Parallel World 2 Madara with a chill.

Thankfully, he hadn't reached that point; he still had a chance to change!

But what should he do next?

Infinite Tsukuyomi was wrong—what was the point of continuing?

Madara sat, his face blank.

Around him, many moon Ōtsutsuki clan members were bound by Wood Release vines, including the main and branch family leaders… If not for interrogating information, he'd have slaughtered them long ago.

"What, feeling lost?"

A familiar voice suddenly sounded, startling the confused Madara.

Clearly, only Tenshou Sennin could appear before him silently.

Madara no longer doubted Lux's identity.

Able to take him to the future, witness such a grand drama, and perform the miraculous feat of crossing space-time—something even Rikudō Sennin likely couldn't do—what was there to doubt?

"Can I help with anything?"

Parallel World 2 Madara asked listlessly, without joy or sorrow.

Though not as depressed as Parallel World 5 Madara, the feeling of shattered ideals was unpleasant…

Lux was in a good mood, raising his hand to create a glass throne with an eye technique.

He sat before Madara, chatting casually.

"Here."

Lux tossed a bottle of liquor, which Madara caught steadily.

"What's this?"

"Liquor, something to forget troubles a bit."

"Even a god like you has troubles?"

Madara frowned, grumbling.

To him, the unpredictable Tenshou Sennin—where did troubles come from?

'Crossing space-time, reversing life and death' like child's play—what could trouble him?

"Gods are just slightly stronger life forms. Setting aside Ōtsutsuki who fancy themselves gods, I still consider myself human, so of course I have troubles."

Lux's trouble was advancing his mission quickly to become a True Immortal.

As for whether he'd have troubles after becoming a True Immortal?

That was for later.

"Gods are human too? You're indeed different from the ancient gods these people talk about…"

Madara sighed deeply, full of emotion.

He popped the bottle's cap, gulping heavily without hesitation.

As for the liquor, let alone not being poison; even if it was, Madara would gladly drink it now.

"Really burns!"

"Just like Hashirama's taste; he loved liquor too…"

At these words, Madara froze again, then gulped more, as if venting something.

He knew Hashirama's kindness, but sadly, he was gone.

"Did you come to mock me? If so, bring another me from another space-time to mock him properly."

Madara's mouth burned, but his heart was cold.

He didn't want to mention Hashirama again.

"Helping you learn the truth and change your original fate—shouldn't you thank me?"

Lux teased lightly.

"Thank you? Of course, I should. Your help at least kept me from becoming that repulsive Edo version of myself."

"But you know, if I could beat you, I'd be the first to pummel you!"

Madara wasn't too afraid, retorting bluntly.

He was already half-dead, unafraid of offending Lux.

Madara understood himself best.

He was certain if Parallel World 1 Madara had the power to challenge Tenshou Sennin, he'd be the first to attack, testing Lux's strength.

"Hahaha… That's true."

"Very much your character."

Lux laughed heartily, without many taboos.

This reminded him of early days when he was cautious.

With just an empty Rinnegan pair initially, he most feared Parallel World 1 Madara turning on him and killing him instantly.

Fortunately, no such worries now.

He didn't need to fear Parallel World 2 Madara suddenly rampaging…

"So, what do you really want? Don't tell me you came just to chat."

Madara finished the large bottle, deliberately not dispelling the alcohol's effect to savor slight drunkenness.

Lux tossed two more large bottles, asking casually:

"Want to unify your ninja world?"

Lux asked frankly.

He now had the strength and confidence to be direct.

"You want me to unify the world?"

"Yes!"

This was Lux's purpose in seeking Parallel World 2 Madara—to instigate him to complete the unification mission.

Two reasons.

First: Parallel World 2 Tobirama was too incompetent; unification progress was only 52%, the lowest among parallel worlds!

Even Parallel World 5 and Nagato, the last opened, surpassed Tobirama's conquest progress by far.

Utterly shameful!

Though external factors interfered, such slow progress and performance made Lux consider 'replacing the old with the young.'

No choice—who told Tobirama to be incompetent?

Second: Lux's bound power in Parallel World 2 was no longer tied to Konoha and Tobirama but had shifted to Parallel World 2 Madara.

This was why he could pull Parallel World 2 Madara to Parallel World 5's ninja world.

Since Madara wasn't part of Konoha's faction, he couldn't be moved with instant world transfer initially.

Only after switching the binding could he be transferred.

Of course, Madara didn't know.

In the same Parallel World, the system's first binding release and power rebinding had no restrictions.

But the second rebinding had a cooldown.

About one month; for a third rebinding, the cooldown seemed to multiply by ten!

And so on…

To avoid wasting a one-month cooldown and the nearly year-long interval for the next rebinding, Lux considered abandoning Tobirama and Konoha, letting Parallel World 2 Madara unify the world directly.

Safe and efficient, far stronger than the inept Tobirama.

Though Madara wasn't suited for maintaining rule, reviving Izuna could address this flaw.

Theoretically, this was undoubtedly the best choice.

"Unify the world?"

Madara's slightly drunken eyes gleamed briefly, then dimmed again.

"Before, I might've been somewhat interested."

"But now… forget it."

"I'm no longer interested or motivated to unify the world."

Madara looked deeply listless.

This trip to Parallel World 5's ninja world greatly affected him.

It erased his last obsession and madness, leaving Madara with little drive to keep striving.

He was even too lazy to kill these moon Ōtsutsuki now.

"No motivation? That doesn't sound like something Uchiha Madara would say."

"Not like me? No surprise. People change; I change, Hashirama changes, everyone changes… Isn't that normal?"

Madara recalled the battle at the Valley of the End, Hashirama ruthlessly killing him.

His heart ached more.

The once steadfast Hashirama became a village puppet—was there a more absurd reality?

In a sense, Hashirama's 'change of heart' drove Madara after 'death' to pursue Infinite Tsukuyomi more fervently!

Sadly, it was all over now.

Madara had no motivation to keep fighting…

"Human hearts do change easily, but it's hard to change completely. Like Hashirama's kindness, or the gentleness in your heart—those are parts hard to fully change, right?"

"You…"

Madara was slightly shocked.

The last person to truly understand his heart was Hashirama!

How many versions of himself had Lux met?

To understand even his heart's shape so clearly—terrifying.

"Alright. Since you lack motivation, I'll give you a bit!"

"What?!?"
