Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku

Chapter 135: Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku [135]

"That's right."

Seeing that Uchiha Fugaku was showing interest, Orochimaru's lips curled into a faint smile.

"So, what do you want in exchange?"

Fugaku asked.

"The secret techniques of the Sharingan."

Orochimaru replied.

"Sounds like you have quite a few Sharingan in your possession."

Fugaku's expression turned cold instantly.

Since Orochimaru was seeking to trade for Sharingan techniques, it clearly meant he already had several Sharingan in his hands.

And how had he gotten those Sharingan?

"Don't misunderstand. The Sharingan I have were obtained through a trade with Shimura Danzo. I didn't take them directly from members of the Uchiha clan."

Fearing the deal might be rejected, Orochimaru explained.

A few months ago, he had made a deal with Danzo: Orochimaru crafted a hand for Danzo that possessed both Wood Release and ten Sharingan; in exchange, he received a number of Sharingan from Danzo.

Fugaku's expression softened slightly.

He already knew that Danzo had been collecting Sharingan from the Uchiha clan, and Orochimaru had indeed done business with Danzo before. His words likely weren't a lie.

"The value of Hashirama cells and the transplant technique is no less than that of the Sharingan's secret arts. Clan Head Fugaku, have you decided?"

Orochimaru asked.

After a moment of silence, Fugaku responded:

"Very well. Tomorrow at noon, we'll meet in the forest west of the village."

Given the value of the cells and the transplant technique to the Uchiha clan, he decided to accept the trade.

Of course, the Sharingan techniques he would provide were going to be a "sanitized" version—no way would he include forbidden techniques like Izanagi or Izanami.

Even within the Uchiha clan, few knew of those two jutsu. He doubted Orochimaru even knew they existed.

As for the rest of the secrets—it didn't matter much.

The true strength of the Uchiha clan lay in the unique dōjutsu powers granted by the Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Good."

Orochimaru nodded, then sank into the ground, vanishing from Fugaku's view.

Once he confirmed Orochimaru was gone, Fugaku returned to the bedroom.

He shut the door and resumed the activity that had been interrupted earlier. Occasionally, faint moans echoed from the room.

The next morning, after completing his training and having breakfast, Fugaku did not report to the Konoha Police Force.

Instead, he pulled out the scroll containing the Sharingan secret techniques, then took out a blank scroll and began copying.

More than two hours later, a redacted version of the Sharingan techniques scroll—excluding Izanagi and Izanami—was complete.

He carefully stashed away the original and brought the trimmed version with him.

With noon approaching, Fugaku left the Uchiha compound, heading to the agreed-upon forest.

"Hmm…"

His brow twitched imperceptibly as he discreetly scanned his surroundings.

Someone was watching him.

"Orochimaru? No… likely ANBU under the Third Hokage."

The thought flashed through his mind.

Following Danzo's disappearance, it was clear that the Uchiha clan—especially him—had been placed under ANBU surveillance.

The one tailing him was likely an elite ANBU ninja skilled in tracking and concealment.

If not for his Yamanaka-like sensory abilities, he might not have noticed them at all.

He scanned carefully and spotted the watcher dozens of meters behind—disguised as an ordinary tourist in Konoha, pretending to browse street stalls.

But from time to time, the person would glance at him—only for an instant, not enough to arouse suspicion under normal means.

It was thanks to his heightened senses that he noticed.

Bringing a tail to meet Orochimaru? Out of the question.

He looked around and spotted a public restroom on the street.

He walked in—and shortly after, exited.

Continuing down the street, he acted normal, scanning as if on routine patrol.

As he moved farther, the ANBU disguised as a civilian followed at a careful distance.

But at that moment, another figure walked out of the public restroom: a plain-looking Konoha ninja headed west—toward the forest.

This was the real Uchiha Fugaku.

What had walked the street before was a spore clone—even more convincing than a shadow clone.

In the forest west of the village, Fugaku activated his sensory abilities.

He sensed only one chakra signature—faint but familiar: Orochimaru.

He dropped his Transformation Jutsu and walked toward the source.

As he approached, Orochimaru slithered out from beneath the fallen leaves like a snake.

Confirming it was the real Fugaku and not a disguise, he rasped:

"Did you bring it?"

Fugaku took out the scroll containing the Sharingan techniques and asked in return:

"Where's what I asked for?"

"Waugh—"

Orochimaru opened his mouth, and two items dropped out.

One was a small green scroll.

The other, a clear vial containing a chunk of fleshy tissue suspended in liquid.

Both items were coated in an unknown, slimy mucus—likely from being stored inside Orochimaru's body.

Fugaku's mouth twitched as he looked at the disgusting items.

He nearly changed his mind.

But Orochimaru was clearly unfazed by such a reaction and said calmly:

"Let's toss our items at the same time, shall we?"

They both tossed their items toward each other.

Orochimaru caught the Sharingan scroll and immediately began reading through it.

Though unfamiliar with the techniques, his mastery of jutsu made him capable of discerning their authenticity.

Fugaku, on the other hand, used a handkerchief to catch the slimy items. He carefully wiped them clean before inspecting them.

First, he used the Sharingan to examine the tissue inside the vial—it radiated strong life force and green chakra.

It was indeed Hashirama cells.

He then opened the scroll and scanned its contents.

It detailed the Hashirama cell transplantation method, but with his medical knowledge, he couldn't verify its accuracy.

That would have to wait for trusted medical-nin to experiment and confirm.

Still, he doubted Orochimaru would risk his reputation by offering fake research.

Both sides seemed satisfied with the exchange. They nodded at each other, concluding the deal.

Orochimaru vanished into the ground.

And Fugaku, now transformed into an ordinary-looking ninja, departed from another direction.
