Naruto: Godly Career System

Chapter 116: Naruto: godly career system-Chapter 116: Tenseigan vs Dust Release

On this battlefield, Shishio Mitarashi and the Raikage's escort squad were locked in a fierce struggle, with Red's figure weaving among them. Not only that, but a significant number of Iwa-nin were also present in the fray.

However, to secure the final victory in this war, Ōnoki had no choice but to commit his forces. If he could annihilate Konoha's ninja forces here in one decisive strike, even if he were to ultimately lose to Kai Mitarashi, Konoha would be left severely weakened due to the loss of its ninja power.

This shift in balance would allow Iwa-nin to achieve substantial growth, fulfilling at least half of the goals of the joint Iwa and Kumo ninja forces.

As for the potential deaths of some Iwa-nin, Ōnoki could not afford to care. In his eyes, the interests of the village outweighed all else, and as a ninja, one must be prepared to die. Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent nearly ten thousand Iwa-nin to encircle and kill the Third Raikage in the original timeline. This unyielding belief of his only began to change during the final battle of the series.

"You brat! Even if I can't kill you, wiping out the majority of Konoha's forces will be enough!" Ōnoki said smugly as he stared at Kai.

"Is that so?" Kai responded calmly, his tone indifferent, before ignoring Ōnoki entirely.

The yellow Tenseigan in his right eye spun wildly. Kai would never allow the Detachment of the Primitive World Technique to be unleashed on the battlefield. If that happened, Shishio Mitarashi and Kurenai Yūhi would undoubtedly perish.

The Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique's barrier had already enveloped the battlefield, trapping countless ninjas within.

"This is… Ōnoki's Dust Release! Damn it!"

Shishio Mitarashi clearly recognized the barrier. His face turned grim as he instantly forced back two Raikage escorts attacking him. Grabbing Kurenai Yūhi, he attempted to dash toward the edge of the barrier.

However, it was obvious that time was no longer on their side.

The Detachment of the Primitive World Technique activated! The white sphere of light at the center of the barrier suddenly expanded.

Outside the barrier, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was locked in a fierce battle with Iwa Gate, the Tsuchikage's advisor, suddenly widened his eyes in horror. His face turned deathly pale in an instant, a look of despair flashing across his features.

Beside him, Iwa Gate also noticed the situation and broke into a maniacal grin. "Hahaha! It's the Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique! No matter how strong that Kai Mitarashi is, all of you Konoha ninjas will be wiped out here…"

His words abruptly stopped. Staring at the battlefield's center, his eyes widened as if they were about to pop out of their sockets.

The despair on Hiruzen Sarutobi's face was suddenly replaced by a glimmer of hope.

Within the barrier, Shishio Mitarashi knew that rushing toward the barrier's edge was futile. Yet, as a Kage-level ninja, he held firm to his shinobi creed. Even in the face of despair, he refused to give up.

But as moments passed, Shishio Mitarashi realized he hadn't been disintegrated. Stunned, he instinctively turned to look at the center of the barrier—and what he saw left him utterly astonished.

At the center of the barrier, the white sphere of light, which had expanded to a diameter of several dozen meters, suddenly stopped growing. It hung motionless in midair, completely still.

"What… what's going on?!"

Floating in the sky, Ōnoki also noticed the anomaly. His previously invincible Dust Release had never failed like this before. Stunned, he quickly turned his gaze toward Kai.

There, Kai stood in midair, his right hand outstretched, fingers clawed as if grasping at the white sphere of light within the barrier.

Tenseigan: Repulsive Force Binding!

Kai's understanding of gravitational and repulsive forces far surpassed that of someone like Nagato. As one of the four fundamental forces of the universe, gravity—and its counterpart, repulsion—could even alter space itself.

Binding a mass of energy like this? With Kai's current mastery of the Tenseigan, it was entirely within his capabilities. Under his control, an immense repulsive force pressed against the surface of the white sphere of light, halting its expansion entirely.

"Disappear."

Kai spoke softly, his expression suddenly hardening as he clenched his outstretched hand into a fist. The white sphere of light, which had grown to a diameter of several dozen meters, abruptly contracted, shrinking down to the size of a ping-pong ball.

"This… this is impossible!" Ōnoki's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Kai, unable to comprehend what he was witnessing.

"Impossible? Do you want to take a closer look?" Kai said with a faint smirk. He raised his hand slightly, and under the pull of gravitational force, the white sphere of light flew toward him, eventually landing in his palm.

In Kai's hand, the white sphere of light grew smaller and smaller until it finally dissipated into nothingness.

Seeing this, Ōnoki's face turned ashen. For him, the situation had reached a deadlock. Fight? He couldn't win. Retreat? It was both humiliating and perhaps impossible.

After a moment of silence, Ōnoki looked at Kai and spoke with difficulty, "The joint Iwa-Kumo ninja forces will retreat. In half a month, we'll sign a peace treaty with Konoha. How about that?"

He had no choice. Though unwilling, Ōnoki was pragmatic enough to recognize the current state of affairs.

"Ha." Kai chuckled softly, his tone laced with faint mockery. "What's this? Planning to surrender now that you can't win?"

Hearing Kai's near-insulting words, Ōnoki, as the Tsuchikage, could hardly stomach the humiliation. He glared at Kai and said in a deep voice, "Kai Mitarashi, this isn't surrender. It's simply that we, Iwa and Kumo, are willing to sign a peace treaty with Konoha."

"Sorry. Konoha only signs treaties of surrender, with the defeated party being Iwa and Kumo. Agree, and we'll sign. Refuse, and the battle continues." Ignoring Ōnoki, Kai replied indifferently.

Ōnoki's beard bristled with rage at Kai's words, his voice rising in anger. "Kai Mitarashi! The joint Iwa-Kumo forces still have over twenty thousand ninjas. How many do you Konoha ninjas have left? If you want to keep fighting, the side that suffers more losses will only be Konoha!"

"Twenty thousand ninjas?" Kai chuckled, his tone calm as he continued, "I wonder… how many of those so-called twenty thousand ninjas will still be standing a minute from now?"

As he spoke, the yellow Tenseigan in Kai's right eye began spinning wildly once more. Seeing this, Ōnoki grew increasingly wary, his gaze never leaving Kai.

Five seconds. Ten seconds. Thirty seconds… A full minute passed.

Ōnoki frowned, unable to contain his anger as he shouted, "Kai Mitarashi, what are you playing at?"

Kai smiled faintly and said nothing. Instead, he raised a finger, pointing upwards.

Following Kai's gesture, Ōnoki looked up—and his face twisted in sheer terror.
