Naruto: Getting Observation Haki By Sacrificing The Byakugan

Chapter 184: CHAPTER 184

Within the sealed dimension of the Chibaku Tensei, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki found herself in a difficult position. Madara Uchiha simply refused to take the bait, and she was running out of options.

The deal Madara proposed was actually acceptable to her. Damaging the moon—part of the structure sealing her away—could indeed weaken the seal, allowing more of her power to leak out. That alone would greatly increase her ability to act indirectly in the physical world.

However, when it came to solving the instability in Madara's body, she was powerless to assist unless he allowed her to infuse him with her chakra directly.

For someone like her, a being who derived power from the Divine Tree itself, raw power was the norm. She was not a schemer or scientist like her descendants; precise, subtle techniques were beyond her usual means.

Yet, she did have a solution. But Kaguya was unwilling to offer it unless Madara accepted her chakra willingly—something he had categorically refused.

Once again, they were at an impasse. Neither was willing to give ground.

Outside the seal, Madara remained composed. He believed he held the advantage, especially now as the sole wielder of the Ten-Tails' power and the possessor of both the Rinnegan and the body of the Sage's lineage.

As for Kaguya, having been sealed away for over a millennium, she had time—plenty of it. Her lifespan was nearly eternal. But the same could not be said of Madara. Even beings at the level of the Six Paths had limits. While some could retain their youth and chakra for centuries, others saw their bodies deteriorate over time, their souls outliving their flesh.

Madara didn't seem to realize this. He intended to drag the stalemate out indefinitely, believing he could wear her down mentally and spiritually.

But unlike the inflexible Hashirama, Madara had foresight. While stalling for time, he used Kamui to summon Black Zetsu to his side from across dimensions, instructing him to gather ancient texts, especially those concerning the legends of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki—the so-called "Rabbit Goddess" of myth.

He was clearly searching for knowledge that might grant him leverage.

The Stone Delegation... No, Teaching Material

Black Zetsu emerged from the Kamui dimension, ready to fulfill Madara's command. But the moment he stepped into the physical world, he froze.

He felt her—his mother's presence.

It was no illusion. It was real.

Since the moment of his creation, Black Zetsu had never felt so close to Kaguya. He was enveloped in the aura of her chakra, and the sensation filled his consciousness with overwhelming bliss and reverence.

He forgot Madara's commands entirely.

Kaguya sensed his arrival instantly. With a mere ripple of mental chakra, she communicated with her creation—bypassing Madara's awareness.

In that brief but profound exchange, Black Zetsu conveyed everything: the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War, the revival of the Ten-Tails, the resurrection of Madara, and the rise of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha as new bearers of Hagoromo's power.

Kaguya was delighted. With Black Zetsu's loyalty and presence, she no longer needed Madara as a vessel for her power.

Her "son" was enough.

And through his memories, Kaguya learned of the intricate scheme Black Zetsu had orchestrated for a thousand years. Everything had been for her return—the Eye of the Moon Plan, Nagato and the Rinnegan, the Ten-Tails, and finally Madara himself.

Madara was merely a stepping stone.

Kaguya considered her options. Between Nagato and Madara, the better vessel was undoubtedly Madara. Not for his ambition or strength, but because he carried the chakra of both Indra and Asura—the sons of Hagoromo.

That chakra was her own in origin. If she could absorb both lineages at once, she could confront her rebellious sons—Hagoromo and Hamura—from a position of overwhelming strength.

But if Madara remained stubborn, Nagato would suffice as a backup. His Rinnegan still held a fraction of her power through the cells of Hashirama and the eyes of Madara.

Madara, meanwhile, had no inkling of this betrayal. When he sent Black Zetsu into the world again, he believed he had dispatched a loyal servant. But Black Zetsu now carried not only Madara's orders—but Kaguya's will.

---

Back in the sealed space, Kaguya reached out to Madara again, her mental voice calm and persuasive:

> "I accept your terms. I will tell you how to stabilize your body and remove the hidden dangers you sense. With this method, you will fully integrate the power of the Ten-Tails and awaken as a true member of the Ōtsutsuki clan.

"Your current transformation will stabilize. Even if your body perishes, your soul will endure for ages—anchored to this world, just like my own.

"But in exchange, you must open a gap in this seal. Not fully release me—just weaken it."

Madara raised an eyebrow. He had expected the stalemate to continue for years, not end in mere days.

Was she growing desperate from being sealed so long?

Or had something changed?

He couldn't be sure. But the opportunity was tempting.

Still cautious, he responded:

> "Tell me the method first. If I confirm that it's valid, I'll open the seal as agreed."

> "Impossible," Kaguya replied coldly.

Madara frowned.

He had the power of the Earth Release: Planetary Devastation at his disposal. As long as he didn't fully unseal her, he believed he could maintain control.

But unknown to him, the situation had already slipped through his fingers.

Subsequently, Madara Uchiha agreed to Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's proposal—but with one condition. He demanded that she reveal the identities of the three mysterious figures moving in the shadows, and explain what their true goals were.

Behind him stood the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki—that much could be guessed. And behind Kawaki Aoba—who bore a strange connection to the Ōtsutsuki—was likely Hagoromo as well. But the presence behind the leader of the Akatsuki remained a complete mystery to Madara.

Kaguya fell silent at Madara's question. Even with all the information she had gathered through Black Zetsu, she had no clear answer. She knew that the ninja world was in a precarious balance, its fate tugged by three hidden powers.

She knew more than Madara could imagine, but even she couldn't identify the third force influencing events from the shadows. Besides her two sons—Hagoromo and Hamura—there was someone else. But who?

Could it be another member of the Ōtsutsuki Clan from beyond the stars?

No… unlikely. If it were truly one of the main family, they wouldn't be acting so covertly. They would have made a grand move already.

Could it be a powerful native of the ninja world?

Kaguya didn't even consider it. The pride of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, their belief in their own superiority as celestial beings, had never waned. Neither she nor her sons had ever truly acknowledged the potential of humans.

But as she thought more, one name surfaced.

Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.

He was a member of the main family—one she had originally accompanied to this world. She had ambushed and betrayed him, believing him dead.

Could it be… that Isshiki had survived? Had he returned?

The more she thought about it, the more plausible it seemed.

The delicate balance in the current ninja world—three powers pulling the strings—could very well be the doing of Hagoromo, Hamura, and Isshiki.

Having considered this, Kaguya shared her suspicions with Madara. To her, there was no reason to hide it. However, she didn't elaborate on the alien origins of the Ōtsutsuki—simply because Madara hadn't asked.

Upon learning who his true opponent might be, Madara kept his word. Channeling the power of his Six Truth-Seeking Balls, he forged the Sword of Nunoboko and cleaved a corner of the moon.

From that moment on, the people of the ninja world would never see a complete moon again.

Though only a small part of the seal was broken, it was enough for Kaguya. Through that gap, her chakra could begin to seep into the world once more.

And once someone became the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki, she could use Black Zetsu to influence them—perhaps even take full control. The child named Kawaki Aoba could be a suitable vessel. With techniques like the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, the moon could even be split in half from the outside.

"I've upheld my end and damaged the seal. Now it's your turn," Madara demanded.

Kaguya didn't hesitate. She told him the method to rid himself of the hidden instability in his body.

But after hearing her answer, Madara's expression turned grim.

"Become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki? Transcend humanity and fully transform into an Ōtsutsuki? And this is the solution you're offering me?"

---

"What?! The Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki?"

The same phrase echoed back in Konoha—this time from Kawaki Aoba.

He held a sealed report in his hands, delivered at great risk by a Sunagakure intelligence operative. The message was dire—it involved the Ten-Tails.

Someone had spilled the truth to the other four Great Nations: that gathering the nine Tailed Beasts could reawaken the Ten-Tails.

Kawaki's heart sank. Even without overthinking it, he knew what this meant. The other villages were plotting to revive the Ten-Tails, likely aiming to use its power against Konoha—and him.

He had wondered for days why the other villages didn't respond when he leaked false intel about his serious injuries. No scouts, no missions, not even surveillance. Now it was obvious—they were preparing something far more dangerous.

Still, this development wasn't entirely bad. If they were preparing to "court death," then perhaps it was time to give them a little… encouragement.

The Nine-Tails couldn't be moved—Kurama was under strict protection—but perhaps the Five-Tails could be used as bait. Iwagakure would surely come to Konoha to negotiate for it. That would be the perfect time to exploit the situation.

"I'll need to discuss this with Minato," he thought. As Hokage, only he could authorize anything related to the Tailed Beasts.

But Kawaki Aoba was cautious. This opportunity could be squandered if their enemies sensed the trap too early.

He headed straight to the Hokage Building to lay out the situation. The plan was simple: pretend to play along, then turn the tables.

Coincidentally, just as Konoha finalized its strategy, a diplomatic envoy from Iwagakure arrived.

As Kawaki scanned the list of delegates, his eyes narrowed.

Minato glanced over and asked, "What's wrong, Aoba? Something odd about the envoy?"

Kawaki rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Not really. Their leader is Kurotsuchi, Onoki's granddaughter. That alone shows how serious they are about this."
