Naruto: Fooling the Ninja World, I'm Hailed as a Savior

"Hey! Dead-eyed fish, I'm talking to you!"

The scar-faced ninja rose and walked over, stopping by the table where Hyuga Kawa and his three companions sat, looking down at them.

His sinister gaze swept over their faces, his tone laced with intimidation and menace. "You four look a bit unfamiliar, and your behavior is suspicious. I now have reason to suspect you're spies. Come with me quietly."

Unfamiliar my foot, spies my ass. The capital of the Land of Rain wasn't the Hidden Rain Village; it wasn't sealed off from external contact. There were many merchants from outside in the capital, so how could this guy possibly know everyone? Besides, a good number of people had heard his words and were sneaking glances, but Kakashi's dead-fish eyes were simply too good at drawing attention.

This was purely a case of killing the chicken to scare the monkeys, warning others who heard things they shouldn't to keep their mouths shut.

"Unlucky," Kakashi sighed inwardly, realizing this. But he also knew that escaping now was definitely not an option; it would only solidify their identity as people with something to hide. Even if they could escape, it would definitely tip off their enemies and increase the difficulty of their mission.

So, he remained silent for a moment, secretly channeling his chakra, then calmly looked up at the scar-faced ninja. "Do you know what you're doing?"

Hearing this, the three Rain ninjas who had been sitting behind, not intending to get involved, instinctively exchanged glances. They all felt a sense of unease and stood up, walking over.

"Hmm?" Looking at the seemingly fearless foursome, the scar-faced ninja's heart sank, but he didn't give an inch verbally. "Oh, you four cripples sitting together can't even make three pairs of eyes, and you dare to question me?"

So, the scar-faced ninja and the long-haired ninja turned to exchange glances, both seeing each other's intentions in their eyes.

"Haha, so it's our brothers from the Hidden Rain Village. My apologies, my apologies, we were rude." The scar-faced ninja put on a look of sudden understanding, chuckling while bending down and reaching into his bosom, trying to pull out some cash. He hoped these four "hyenas" were willing to take a bribe. They weren't bold enough to attack Anbu members, but bribing them with money was certainly an option.

However, just as he reached into his bosom, Hyuga Kawa, beside Kakashi, suddenly looked up and loudly exclaimed, "What are you trying to do!"

The scar-faced ninja and the three Rain ninjas behind him instinctively froze for a moment, but before they could react, all four, including Kakashi, instantly moved, their division of labor clear.

One grabbed a wine bottle.
