Naruto: Fooling the Ninja World, I'm Hailed as a Savior

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Otsutsuki Bloodline, Let Me See Your Limit!

Hyuga Kawa felt that his current body was perfectly capable of mastering the secret techniques of those ninja clans. However, he wasn't in a hurry to try. He merely paused for a few minutes before putting those secret techniques back and looking at other scrolls.

He made sure to remember the locations of all the scrolls he was interested in, but to an outsider, it would have looked like a bear blindly picking corn—grabbing one, then discarding it for another.

He continued this until Hyuga Kawa walked to the topmost shelf of the furthest bookshelf, taking down the two newest and most ancient scrolls. Opening the two scrolls, his eyes swept over them, and he instinctively narrowed his eyes. Hiruzen Sarutobi, as expected, still left some good things.

"Chidori?"

"Strength of a Hundred Seal?"

A look of natural surprise appeared on his face. He sat down cross-legged, placing the scrolls before him and flipping through them. This display naturally caused Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was currently in the Hokage's office observing him through a crystal ball, to frown.

"Indeed, still too young, a bit impetuous," he muttered to himself.

The truly powerful ninjutsu were all in the Scroll of Seals—not just S-rank forbidden jutsus, secret techniques, and sealing jutsus, but also A-rank ninjutsu like the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Hiruzen Sarutobi naturally wouldn't leave the Scroll of Seals there. But in his opinion, some B-rank ninjutsu were already valuable enough for Hyuga Kawa. Outside, if a medium or small power obtained a B-rank ninjutsu, it could invite disaster, perhaps even attracting those bandits from the Hidden Cloud Village.

If he hadn't seen Hyuga Kawa's ninjutsu talent, and if Hyuga Kawa's recent performance hadn't been so impressive, he would never have opened the Forbidden Scroll Archive to him.

As for why Chidori and the Strength of a Hundred Seal were left there, perhaps it was due to a sliver of hope and expectation in his heart, but it was mostly to test Hyuga Kawa's character.

If he chose to diligently cultivate a B-rank Wind Release ninjutsu or taijutsu, Hiruzen Sarutobi would give him an excellent rating. If he chose a sealing jutsu or other elemental ninjutsu, it would only be an above-average rating. Even if he only chose to cultivate the Strength of a Hundred Seal, Hiruzen Sarutobi would give him a below-average rating.

Although he believed it was impossible for Hyuga Kawa to learn the Strength of a Hundred Seal in a short time, it would at least allow him to fully utilize his advantage in chakra control.

However, if he chose both Chidori and the Strength of a Hundred Seal…

"Bottom-tier," Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed with some disappointment. "He doesn't even understand the principle of biting off more than you can chew. This boy is truly too foolish and greedy." His original intention was for this boy to choose some suitable ninjutsu before leaving the village, to try and improve his current strength as much as possible, as the battlefield was merciless.

If he could achieve military merits, he would have another chance to learn ninjutsu. By then, it wouldn't be ordinary B-rank ninjutsu, but rather techniques like Dan Katō's "Spirit Transformation Technique."

"Alas, this boy, after all, is still not mature enough." The decision to let Hyuga Kawa enter the Forbidden Scroll Archive was also a result of his own emotional and anxious state lately.

At this thought, Hiruzen Sarutobi stopped observing Hyuga Kawa with his "Telescope Technique" and lowered his head to continue reviewing the documents on his desk. Konoha's vanguard forces were already assembled, and Hiruzen Sarutobi still had many matters to oversee.

As for Hyuga Kawa… In his heart, he had almost given up on him, his level of concern directly halved.

Meanwhile, in the Forbidden Scroll Archive, Hyuga Kawa finally smiled as he felt the sensation of being watched disappear. He rose and walked towards the ninja clan secret techniques, spreading them out before him. Now, it was time to see how many he could master in this period.

Ōtsutsuki bloodline, let me see your limits!

"Phew…"

Who knew how much time had passed. Hiruzen Sarutobi let out a murky breath, put down the last document, and subconsciously turned to look out the window. Winter nights came exceptionally early.

The sky was already very dark, and the white streetlights had all lit up, casting his long shadow on the wall behind him. Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze extended towards the horizon, where impenetrable snow stretched to the very edge of his vision.

The laughter of playing children drifted in from outside, like bubbles continuously rising to the surface, their clamor only heard once they broke through the water.

"Is it six already?" Hiruzen Sarutobi glanced at the time. His stomach grumbled in agreement, and he realized he hadn't eaten lunch. But before going home for dinner, he had one more thing to do. At this thought, Hiruzen Sarutobi left his office and walked unhurriedly towards the building's underground floor.

"If I'm not mistaken, that foolish boy, Hyuga Kawa, must be regretting it by now," he thought to himself. "If worst comes to worst, I'll have to give him a stern talking-to and then temporarily hand over the Strength of a Hundred Seal scroll to him. After all, that jutsu truly suits him."

Reaching the tightly closed door, Hiruzen Sarutobi made a hand seal, dispelling the barrier and seal, then gently pushed the door open.

Buzz! Buzz!

A cacophony of chaotic sounds entered his ears, making Hiruzen Sarutobi instinctively pause. He looked up, and his pupils couldn't help but contract.

He saw Hyuga Kawa sitting cross-legged in a corner away from the bookshelves, sweat soaking his white high-collared shirt, clinging to his back and chest, outlining the boy's somewhat slender but power-filled physique.

Chaotic, wild chakra surged into his right palm, transforming into countless thin electrical arcs that crawled outwards, leaving fleeting, dazzling blue trails in the air. His knuckles were strained white, veins bulging on the back of his hand.

His skin was an unhealthy reddish-brown, and tiny cracks oozed minute traces of blood, which were quickly seared dry by the scorching electrical arcs.

"So that's how it is…"

Hyuga Kawa's Byakugan stared at his arm, seemingly understanding something as he instinctively blurted out.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, he looked up. Hiruzen Sarutobi met his gaze, finding those eyes astonishingly bright at this moment.

The next moment, Hyuga Kawa clenched his hand. The constantly exploding, erratically scattered electrical arcs suddenly contracted inwards!

Squeeeee!

The sharp screeching abruptly fell silent for a moment, then erupted into an even higher-pitched, more condensed, and more piercing sound, like a thousand raptors simultaneously emitting bone-chilling cries, making Hiruzen Sarutobi feel deafened.

"Third Hokage!"

Hyuga Kawa excitedly stood up, looking at the stunned Hiruzen Sarutobi. "I learned it!"

The chaotic Lightning Release chakra was confined within the narrow space of his palm. It was no longer scattered sparks but was showing signs of becoming solid, composed entirely of highly condensed, visibly materialized lightning! Innumerable tiny but lethal electrical arcs danced on its surface like living snakes.

The surrounding space seemed to twist and blur due to the high-density lightning. That pure blue light completely illuminated Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes, eclipsing the fading glow of the candles.

"You…"

Looking at the young boy before him, Hiruzen Sarutobi opened his mouth, suddenly feeling parched.
