Naruto: Destroy the Sarutobi Clan At the Beginning

Chapter 117: Chapter : 119

"If you think you can," Kankuro sneered, his grip on Konohamaru tightening.

Temari, standing nearby, sighed in exasperation. She knew the importance of staying under the radar given their plan with the Sound Village. "Kankuro, knock it off! You're going to get us in trouble."

Kankuro, however, ignored her warning. Just as he prepared to strike Konohamaru, Naruto's voice rang out. "Konohamaru!" he yelled, rushing toward the scene. But Kankuro, with a flick of his chakra strings, easily tripped Naruto, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Kirito, Itachi, and Pakura stood on a nearby rooftop, silently observing the events unfolding below.

Hearing Konohamaru's name, Itachi turned to Kirito with narrowed eyes. "I thought you wiped out the Sarutobi clan."

Kirito chuckled, a sly grin forming on his face. "Oh, I did. But I'm no monster. Just like you spared Sasuke, I left a few Sarutobi alive. The Third Hokage's youngest son, for instance, is still around."

Itachi's gaze sharpened. "And Konohamaru? His voice is unusual, and his body seems weaker than normal. Did you… do something to him?"

Kirito shrugged nonchalantly. "Oh, nothing major. I just… ensured the Sarutobi bloodline would end with this generation. Konohamaru and Asuma? Castrated. Now, aside from Hiruzen himself, there's no one left to carry on the family name."

Itachi's brow twitched under his mask, unsettled by Kirito's casual tone. "This guy," he thought, suppressing the urge to react outwardly. "I never realized how ruthless he could be."

Meanwhile, Sasuke made his grand entrance. With a precise throw, he dislodged the stone Kankuro was holding, freeing Konohamaru. Perched on a nearby tree, he smirked down at Kankuro. "What do you think you're doing in our village, you Sand Village scum?"

Below, Sakura's face turned beet red as she swooned. "Sasuke, you're so cool!" she gushed, clasping her hands together.

Kirito tilted his head toward Itachi. "Your little brother is still as dramatic as ever."

Itachi remained silent, though the faintest twitch of his lips betrayed a suppressed smirk. Sasuke, you've grown stronger. But your hatred is not enough—not yet.

At that moment, Gaara stepped into view. His siblings stiffened as his menacing presence filled the air. Pakura narrowed her eyes. "I didn't expect it to be them."

"Oh?" Kirito glanced at Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro. "Do you know those brats?"

Pakura nodded, her tone serious. "They're Rasa's children. Temari specializes in Wind Style, Kankuro is a puppeteer, and that gourd-carrying boy with the dark circles under his eyes? That's Gaara of the Sand. He's the One-Tails Jinchuriki and the Sand Village's ultimate weapon."

Feigning surprise, Kirito chuckled. "A Jinchuriki, huh? That explains the strange chakra I sensed. Reminds me of Yagura, the Three-Tails Jinchuriki. What a coincidence—two Jinchuriki in one place."

"Two?" Pakura's eyes widened. "You mean… the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is here too?"

"Yes," Kirito replied, his gaze flickering toward Naruto. "That loud blonde kid over there."

Pakura instinctively tensed. "Should we act? This might be our best chance."

"No need," Kirito said, shaking his head. "Pain's orders were clear—we're only here to observe. No unnecessary actions."

With that, Kirito leapt down from the rooftop, motioning for the others to follow. "Let's go."

Pakura immediately obeyed, her respect for Kirito evident. Itachi hesitated but eventually followed, silently relieved at Kirito's decision. Despite his allegiance to the Akatsuki, the thought of Kirito wreaking havoc in Konoha was unsettling.

As they passed the group below, Itachi's gaze briefly met Sasuke's. The younger Uchiha's brow furrowed in confusion. He couldn't place the cloaked figure, but the sense of familiarity gnawed at him. Who are they? I didn't even sense them until they were right next to us. Dammit.

Even Gaara, usually unshaken, felt a twinge of unease as Kirito's group walked by. His voice, cold and curious, broke the silence. "What are your names?"

Kirito smirked, not bothering to look back. "Kid, you're not worthy of knowing."

Gaara's lips curled into a twisted grin. "Heh. Someone worth killing," he muttered, the bloodlust in his tone making Temari and Kankuro visibly nervous.

That Evening

As the sun set, casting Konoha in a warm orange glow, Kirito returned to their rented hotel. Having removed his Rain Village disguise, he changed into casual clothes, preparing to leave.

"What are you planning to do?" Itachi asked from across the room, his voice low and suspicious. He leaned against the window, arms crossed.

"Relax," Kirito replied, his tone light but laced with warning. "I'm just going to catch up with an old friend. You're free to visit your little brother, by the way. I won't stop you."

Before Itachi could respond, Kirito's gaze turned sharp. "But remember this—we're here to watch, not interfere. If anyone leaks information about this mission…" His eyes flickered dangerously, "Let's just say it won't be just Hiruzen Sarutobi who dies."

Itachi's expression didn't change, but he understood the underlying threat. Kirito's casual demeanor hid a razor-sharp edge.

Turning to Pakura, Kirito's tone softened. "Pakura, I'll be out for the night. Don't wait up."

Pakura nodded respectfully. "Understood, Lord Kirito."

With that, Kirito disappeared, leaving Itachi alone with Pakura.

"Is he always like this?" Itachi asked after a moment.

Pakura leaned back against the wall, closing her eyes. "Lord Kirito always has his reasons. I don't question him, and neither should you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like some rest."

Itachi remained silent, her words sinking in. After a moment, he turned to leave. "I'll be back tomorrow," he said quietly, vanishing into the night.
