Kakashi raised an eyebrow, thinking for a moment. "Nope," he stated, "Choice 2 is good for me. Besides, it's better to have my chakra grow slowly. At my current age, reaching even Hiruzen's level is impossible from normal ways, but I am not greedy and it's all because of this Sharingan. I can't even turn it off, and now I won't be able to turn it back to the Three-Tomoe stage."

Kakashi stared at the system status. He raised his eyebrow and exclaimed, "What the heck? My chakra reserves are 125,250 and my daily increase is 20,000! This way, my chakra reserves would double in the next week, which might be when Naruto and others team assignments day be!"

He then paused and thought, "If my chakra reserves can double in a week from a fixed increase, what would the increase have been if I'd chosen option one? That one could be 4-5 times higher than this. Should I have picked that one? Sigh, but I can't undo it now. There's no regret medicine."

He then lay back on his bed. "Should I plan what to do from now? I obviously can't let the future play out as it did. What's the point of me knowing all this? But then again, why would I burden myself with such a heavy load?"

He remembered Naruto and Sasuke and thought, "Well, those Ashura and Indra are the so-called children of prophecy, so why do I even need to bother? I'm obviously going to be their Jōnin sensei once Hiruzen sorts out the team assignments and calls me. Then I should just help them grow stronger early on and make sure they don't turn out like they did in the anime. Sasuke's revenge and Naruto's loud personality. If I change them, maybe I won't have to worry about future events as much."

He touched his left eye, covered by his forehead protector, and thought, "While the system can eventually make my chakra reserves comparable to the Tailed Beasts, the Mangekyō Sharingan still has a problem besides high chakra drain; it's the blindness issue. If my knowledge is correct, the Mangekyō generally leads to blindness due to active use of its unique abilities and Susanoo. In my case, I only have Kamui. Does that mean if I just don't use Kamui, then I don't have to worry about blindness?"

He guessed, "If I just don't use my long-range teleportation Kamui, then all I'm left with is its improved perception, foresight, Genjutsu prowess, chakra sight, and further enhancement in the ability to copy Jutsu, even better than the Three-Tomoe stage. These are its passive abilities that use chakra but don't seem to cause the same kind of permanent vision loss. Plus, I don't know how to use Izanagi and Izanami, though even if I did, I wouldn't use them, as the result would be losing my Sharingan."

He mumbled, "I can still feel my chakra being drained by my Mangekyō Sharingan, even if my eye is closed. It's still active."

Kakashi then removed his forehead protector from his left eye and opened it. Once again, three long, swirling curves—a pinwheel-like pattern that looked like a three-bladed propeller—formed in his eye, with the pupil area remaining black.

Kakashi was slightly surprised, "Wow, the chakra drain almost doubled compared to when it was covered and closed. Well, it doesn't matter, since with my system, my chakra drainage problem will be solved."

He covered his left eye with his forehead protector again and lay on the bed, looking at the ceiling. He mumbled, "But what do I do now? It's already midnight, but I don't even feel sleepy?"

He turned his head to his right and saw the orange book, Jiraiya's Icha Icha Paradise. He blinked his visible eye, picked up the book, opened it, and started reading. He said, "Let's see for myself personally how good this book is?"

The sun shone brightly in the sky, its light falling all over Konoha. It was already 7 AM, and Kakashi sat on his bed, his nose buried in Icha Icha Paradise. He mumbled, "All those Jiraiya's researches paid off. This book actually is a masterpiece. No wonder Jiraiya has a lot of Ryo; after all, this book is number one in sales."

Though he had read many adult books in his past life, and considering that Jiraiya's Icha Icha Paradise could only be rated a 7 out of 10 if not full marks, but its reading experience was a whole new level. To Kakashi it felt like he was the main character of the book, and all the experience he is living.

After hours of reading from midnight until morning, he finally finished the book. He closed it and gently set it on the bed beside him. "Haaa..." He sighed heavily, as if he had done very heavy work all night.

He looked out the window and saw that the sun had risen. "Oh, it's already morning?" He just shrugged. It wasn't like he had anything important to do anyway. After leaving the ANBU, Kakashi had a lot more free time than before.

He got off the bed, stood up, and stretched lightly. In a low voice, he summoned, "System panel!" Once again, the familiar screen appeared before his eyes.
