Naruto: Awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan, and Unify the Ninja World

Chapter 192: Chapter 192

Kaguya Otsutsuki was once a member of the high-ranking officials of the Otsutsuki Clan, revered almost like a princess.

But in the clan's selection trials, she lost.

Her combat skills and mastery over chakra manipulation were far too lacking. For an Otsutsuki, such weakness was unacceptable.

As punishment, she was demoted to the rank of a "Guardian," tasked with protecting Otsutsuki Isshiki and ultimately serving as a sacrifice for the Divine Tree.

While she had the option of being reborn through the power of Karma, Kaguya dreaded the endless cycle of reincarnation.

If she continued to resurrect using Karma over and over, she would eventually lose her sense of self—her identity fading until she became nothing more than a tool, existing only to serve others.

That fate terrified her.

So, she rebelled.

She struck down Isshiki in a surprise attack and consumed the Chakra Fruit alone, stealing its immense power for herself.

Yet, despite everything, she found herself tamed in an entirely different way.

Under Uchiha Shin's dominance, Kaguya had been completely subdued. There was no resistance left in her.

And so, when he questioned her, she did not hold back. She answered everything.

Perhaps she had realized that Shin had no intention of killing her.

Or maybe, after spending thousands of years sealed away, the loneliness had finally broken her.

She poured her thoughts and memories into Shin, speaking of things she had never revealed to another soul—even about her sons, Hagoromo and Hamura.

Nestled in Shin's arms, Kaguya found something she had never known before—a sense of security. For the first time in her long, weary existence, she wasn't afraid of what lay ahead.

She only had to surrender herself to him.

Uchiha Shin noticed the softness in her gaze, the subtle shift in her demeanor.

Through their recent exchanges—both physical and spiritual—he had already understood her true nature.

She had always been lacking in love. Once revered as a goddess, she had been cast down to serve.

A being of overwhelming power, yet unsure of her own place.

Fear had dictated her every move—instinct guiding her when no one else did.

And now, as she lay in his arms, he saw her for what she truly was.

A lost woman searching for protection.

Despite her power, she had never truly stood on her own. She had always sought someone to depend on.

Before, she had no one she could trust. The humans of this world were too weak. She had turned to creating her own offspring, believing that Hagoromo and Hamura would be her guardians.

But that… had not gone well.

Shin's arms tightened around her, his fingers trailing across her pale, flawless skin.

Her robes—her absurdly large robes—were draped over them like a blanket, easily covering both their forms.

Shin couldn't help but smirk.

"I have to say, your clothes are ridiculously big."

Kaguya blinked, momentarily thrown off by the comment before realizing what he meant.

She pouted, a rare glimpse of indignation flashing across her usually impassive face.

"Why are you like this?" she muttered.

Ignoring her weak protest, Shin shifted slightly, his fingers idly tracing patterns along her exposed shoulder.

"Kaguya, how exactly did you end up at odds with Hagoromo and Hamura?"

Her body tensed for a moment before she let out a slow breath, pressing herself closer to him.

Then, she spoke.

"The Chakra Fruit from the Divine Tree normally takes a thousand years to ripen. I wanted to accelerate the process and cultivate a second one before the higher-ups of the clan could intervene."

She paused, her expression darkening.

"This planet is unique. Its life force is incredibly rich. I was convinced that it could sustain the creation of another fruit. But to ensure its success, I used the humans here as nourishment—both to feed the tree and to create living weapons."

Her gaze became distant, as though reliving the past.

"But in the middle of it all… Hagoromo and Hamura betrayed me."

A bitter chuckle escaped her lips.

"The fruit was already halfway matured. Their interference disrupted everything, sending the Divine Tree into a frenzy."

She shook her head, a mix of frustration and regret flashing across her face.

"I panicked. I lost control. And in my desperation, I merged with the Divine Tree… becoming the Ten Tails."

Shin listened intently as she continued.

"Hagoromo and Hamura… used that moment to seal me away."

Her voice was laced with bitterness.

"In those final moments, I tried one last thing—I created a life form, hoping it could one day free me."

Silence settled between them.

Then, unexpectedly—

"Hahaha…! Hahaha!!!"

Kaguya's eyes snapped toward Shin, who had suddenly burst into laughter.

Her brow twitched in irritation. "Why are you laughing?!"

Shin struggled to contain himself, waving a hand dismissively. "Sorry, sorry… I just… couldn't help myself."

Kaguya's expression darkened further, and she glared at him.

"Am I really that funny to you?"

Shin grinned. "It's just… listening to you explain everything, I can't help but think—you've really made a mess of things, haven't you?"

Kaguya's eye twitched, and for a moment, Shin thought she might smack him.

But instead, she sighed, burying her face against his chest. "I… I know."

She sounded genuinely exasperated.

Shin smirked. "Well, at least you admit it."

He knew better than anyone—Kaguya wasn't truly evil.

She was just… clueless.

Her perspective on humanity had always been detached. She had never seen them as equals, only as resources.

But that was simply the way of the Otsutsuki.

She had never known another way.

And in a strange way… Shin understood her.

"You know," Kaguya murmured after a while, "it's been a thousand years since all of that happened."

Her pale fingers traced idle circles on his skin.

"You… are a descendant of Hagoromo and Hamura."

Her gaze turned complicated, as though she wasn't sure how to feel about that revelation.

Fortunately, she wasn't the type to be overly concerned with blood ties.

If she was, things might have been… awkward.

Instead, she simply looked at him with something bordering on admiration.

"The fact that someone as powerful as you was born from their lineage… It's surprising."

Then, almost to herself, she murmured, "If you were to consume the Chakra Fruit, your potential would reach even greater heights."

She sounded almost wistful at the thought.

For a moment, she daydreamed—about herself, no longer needing to fight or struggle.

No longer needing to be afraid.

A princess, protected by a knight.

Shin studied her for a moment before exhaling through his nose.

He understood exactly what she wanted.

She had always longed for someone to shield her from the world. And now, she had found that in him.

His hand trailed lower, fingers brushing over the faint, glowing mark at her lower abdomen—the seal he had placed upon her.

The moment his fingers made contact, it pulsed with light.

Kaguya let out a soft, surprised sound, her body shivering under his touch.

Her breathing hitched as she turned wide, vulnerable eyes toward him.

Shin smirked. "Getting a little sensitive, are we?"

Kaguya's face flushed, but instead of pulling away, she only pressed closer.

And just like that… the once-feared Rabbit Goddess had become his.

Entirely.

Completely.

And Shin, of course, would take full advantage of that
