Naruto: An Informant from the Uchiha

In a dark corner, Uzumaki Ku picked up a Flying Thunder God kunai from the ground and looked around.

Night had just fallen. Not far away, the streets of Konoha were still bustling. Ku calmly walked out, showing not the slightest trace of a guilty conscience for an intruder.

"Uncle Teuchi, one bowl of pork bone broth ramen."

After enjoying a bowl of the iconic Ichiraku Ramen, Ku paid and was about to get back to business.

But just then, cheerful voices coming into the shop made him pause. Kabuto entered with two children from the orphanage, smiling brightly.

"This ramen is super, super tasty! If you help the headmaster clean again next month, I'll bring you guys back."

"Kabuto-nii, I want grilled meat! Grilled meat is soooo yummy!"

"If we help next month, can you take us for grilled meat instead?"

Kabuto was momentarily speechless. Thanks to the Fourth Hokage, he was earning a little now, but nearly all of it went to the orphanage headmaster.

In other words, money was tight.

Taking advantage of the curtain separating the kitchen, Ku quietly handed some money to Teuchi, who had just come out from the back.

"Some orphanage kids will be in soon. Please give this to the one named Kabuto. Just tell him it's from his 'big brother.'"

Teuchi smiled. "No problem. These little guys are regulars. But I haven't seen you in a while."

Ku chuckled. "Been busy lately. Rare to be back. Gotta go."

With that, he vanished on the spot.

There was still business to take care of, and it wasn't the time to run into Kabuto. In the current situation, even the Fourth Hokage wasn't fully in control.

After all, the one who was about to die... was the lifelong companion of the Third.

Tap… tap… tap…

Light footsteps echoed in the silence.

"Who's there? Step back!"

"This area is off-limits. Trespassers will be killed."

Despite the shouts, the footsteps didn't stop.

Figures slowly emerged from the darkness, surrounding Uzumaki Ku.

"Kill him!"

The moment the order rang out, a Root ninja charged forward, but instantly froze, wide-eyed. A slash cut across his neck, severing his windpipe. He tried to speak, but only gurgled.

"Too slow… I didn't even need Flying Thunder God for that. Is this the best Root has to offer?"

Ku's words had just fallen when the remaining Root members swiftly retreated.

"Quick speed and reaction time, use sealing techniques!"

Half the group immediately began forming hand signs.

Clang!

Ku's long blade intercepted an incoming attack with ease.

"Wind Realease: Wind Cutter!"

A massive wind blade surged from behind, forcing the attacking Root ninja to retreat.

But Ku scoffed and vanished again.

Slash!

He reappeared behind one of the melee fighters, his Flying Thunder God mark now engraved on the man's back.

"Why… would you think you're faster than me?"

Before the sentence even finished, Ku's blade swept through the man's neck. Blood sprayed, not a drop landing on him.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball!"

"Wind Release: Wind Cutter!"

Wind fed the flames, creating a massive blaze that rushed toward Ku.

Whoosh.

Boom!

Two shuriken flew out, then Ku vanished. The flames only scorched empty air.

Slash!

A cold blade cut another throat; this time it was Yun, who appeared behind the wind and fire users, swiftly eliminating them.

The corpses hit the ground, blood soaking into the soil.

"Now!"

With a shout, the surrounding Root members finished their signs.

"Lightning Release: Four Pillar Binding!"

Four stone pillars burst from the ground, crackling with lightning, ensnaring Ku in an instant.

'This jutsu…'

Ku looked up.

"Earth Release: Covering Cap!"

A massive green disk formed in midair, plummeting toward Ku.

"You're using a jutsu that couldn't even restrain a Pain summon beast… on me? Seriously?"

He shook his head slightly and raised a fist toward the descending boulder.

Boom!

No dramatic cracking, just one punch to obliterate the massive dome.

Ku then glanced at the four lightning pillars and casually waved them away, tearing through the restraints.

"That kind of power… Is it similar to the Chakra Enhanced Strength?"

The four jutsu users, stunned, immediately began to retreat.

"His physical power is overwhelming, keep distance and attack with long-range ninjutsu!"

Swish!

Ku appeared behind the speaker.

"At this speed… do you really think long-range jutsu works?"

Shing

The last word dropped with the man's head.

Ku turned to the others. "Any of you know where Danzo is? If you tell me, maybe you won't die."

"Oh, right. Because of the Tongue Seal Curse… you can't talk about that old dog."

As he spoke, Yun pulled out three Flying Thunder God kunai.

Swish!

The kunai were thrown, and Ku vanished again.

In the brief darkness, a glint of the Mangekyō Sharingan flashed. Two seconds later, he had read every one of their reactions.

Red flashes cut through the shadows. With each reappearance, another burst of blood painted the night.

Thud thud thud…

More than ten corpses hit the ground. The area was a river of blood.

Clang!!

Steel clashed as Ku looked at the Root squad commander in front of him.

"Two seconds have passed already. Judging by that strength… you're a Root unit captain?"

Struggling to hold off the blade, the masked man peered under Ku's hood and gasped, "Uzumaki Ku?! It's you?!"

Ku smiled. "Surprised? Last time, I wasn't used to this new power yet, so that old dog Danzo slipped away. But this time… no such luck."

The commander's eyes narrowed. "Aren't you afraid of what Konoha will do to you?"

Snort.

Ku scoffed. His Flying Thunder God mark had already landed.

Shing.

He vanished and reappeared behind the man, slicing clean through his neck.

"I didn't see you during the Nine-Tails' attack. You weren't there when Pain invaded either. But now, when I'm at your doorstep… you ask me if I'm afraid of Konoha?"

"Truly laughable..."
