Leyton and Bugs Bunny, both deeply feeling unsuitable for studying, began to sort out the non-Hidden knowledge they knew, preparing to use it to digest the Detective potion. Meanwhile, Bugs Bunny was diligently digging soil and spraying nutrient solution in the second-floor garden of a nearby house, striving to be a Planter rabbit.
Leyton recalled the information he knew. Leyton didn't know much about true mystical knowledge or academic knowledge. People from the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom wouldn't need his knowledge either.
"The only things I can truly offer are some Hidden knowledge belonging to this world, but these can easily involve the True Gods of this world." After careful consideration, Leyton felt a headache coming on.
Finally, after much deliberation, Leyton decided to compile some ancient history from the second epoch's Dark Era. Anyway, the Old Gods of that era had already fallen, and as for the subsidiary gods still active today, as long as he avoided them, there shouldn't be too big of a problem.
After making his decision, Leyton began to carefully recall the information he knew about the second epoch.
"The Sprouting Era, the 'Old Gods' appearing one after another, the Era of Fire…" Leyton murmured.
He took out paper and pen, organizing this information chronologically. Finally, Leyton looked at the paper filled with dense writing and felt speechless. The difference between the content of one page and a book was simply too great.
"The history of the third epoch involves too many current True Gods; I wouldn't dare write about it! Am I supposed to just add random content to increase the word count?" Leyton frowned and pondered for a moment.
Leyton decided that he had to expand one page of content into a book, a task more difficult than simply making up a book from scratch.
"How about I randomly throw in some poems and treat this as a collection of poems that record the history of the second epoch? Hmm… I can also insert some illustrations to add more content. Patching and piecing it together, I should be able to make it into a book." Leyton's eyes lit up after a moment of thought, finding this idea quite feasible.
As for painting and poetry, Leyton was not worried at all. The books held by the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom naturally covered all aspects. If it was too much trouble to find them, he could also ask the Hidden Sage to directly instill the knowledge.
Leyton found himself becoming increasingly reliant on the Hidden Sage, but when it came to acquiring knowledge, the Hidden Sage truly was the best partner!
To recall his overly distant and blurred memories, Leyton even made a special trip to the Executor Squad to ask Captain Icanton for help in making two talismans with such effects.
Originally, Leyton wanted to pray directly to Mr. Hughes and ask for a method to recall blurred memories, preferably for Mr. Hughes to directly bestow a blessing upon him.
As he prepared to pray to Mr. Hughes, Leyton suddenly realized that he had been overly reliant on this Angel of the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom recently. Although Mr. Hughes had been friendly enough, his attitude of seeking help for every little thing was indeed a bit presumptuous.
Leyton dismissed the idea of chanting Mr. Hughes's honorific name and instead went to find Captain Icanton, who was still on duty at the Executor Squad.
Although Captain Icanton found Leyton's request strange, he still taught Leyton how to make the talismans.
"Why do you suddenly want a talisman to recall your own memories? The only memories you need to recall now are from your infancy, right?" Captain Icanton asked with curiosity.
"More or less. I want to recall some older memories. Oh, by the way, Captain! Are there any talismans that can directly allow someone to master painting skills?" Leyton nodded, then thought that if he wanted to insert pictures into the book, he would need to know how to draw.
Captain Icanton's gaze towards Leyton became strange. After a long silence, he said, "Only abilities learned and mastered by oneself truly belong to oneself. Skills acquired using Beyonder powers cannot be maintained for a long time."
Leyton was about to say that he didn't need to maintain it for a long time anyway, but then he suddenly thought of an even simpler method.
"Captain, are there any spells or talismans that can directly turn the images imagined in one's mind into drawings?" Leyton looked at Captain Icanton with anticipation.
"Your idea is very interesting. Do you want to draw something? Unfortunately, I haven't mastered a similar spell yet." Captain Icanton's voice carried some interest, as if he would be very willing to master or invent such a spell if he had the chance.
Leyton also realized at this point that a Sequence 5 of the Reader Pathway could already cast spells by hand, though he couldn't do that yet. However, the Mystery Pryer pathway could actually create his own spells as long as he mastered enough mystical knowledge.
With the Captain's help, Leyton learned how to make the memory talisman. To be safe, he also took the talisman the Captain made during the demonstration.
After returning home, Leyton began to prepare for the mystical ritual again, wanting to ask the Hidden Sage for some relevant mystical knowledge to create a spell that could directly transform the images in his mind into drawings.
"Sage who observes the world, eye that peers into truth, embodiment of endless knowledge and numerology!"
As soon as Leyton finished chanting the honorific name, before he even had a chance to state his request, the Hidden Sage directly threw over a piece of knowledge.
Leyton felt as if a swarm of small insects were crawling into his head, and the throbbing pain was even worse than last time.
"Hiss~" Leyton endured the discomfort in his head and used his rapid thinking ability. Leyton found that in a rational state, his tolerance for negative effects significantly increased, and his brain also became more active.
The headache caused by the knowledge infusion lasted for about ten minutes. Afterwards, Leyton felt his head was exceptionally heavy. He lay back in the armchair, resting while organizing the extra mystical knowledge in his mind.
Another half an hour passed before Leyton felt the discomfort in his body completely dissipate.
"Phew! This knowledge infusion was much more severe than last time, and this was even after the Hidden Sage had held back for my sake. No wonder for other Beyonders of the Seer pathway, the Hidden Sage's knowledge infusion is so terrifying; one can lose control with just a slight lapse in attention." Leyton mused, his voice full of relief.
"Boss! Boss! Your father is back!" Bugs Bunny hopped and jumped to Leyton's ear, whispering softly.
"Huh? So fast? It seems it is time for him to come back. It's only two days until New Year's." Leyton was stunned for a moment before realizing.
"There are more and more people at home. You need to be careful from now on, don't speak carelessly, and don't expose too many Beyonder abilities, understand?" Leyton warned Bugs Bunny.
"Don't worry, Boss!" Bugs Bunny patted his chest and promised.
Leyton nodded, saying no more. He pulled Bugs Bunny onto his shoulder and then went to see his newly returned father.
Although his memories of his father were very clear, Leyton still felt a little anxious and nervous when it came to meeting him.
When Leyton arrived in the hall, he saw several servants busily moving goods into the house. His mother was brewing coffee, while his father was directing the servants by the main door as they moved the goods.
His father was wearing a dark brown overcoat and a semi-tall silk top hat. His appearance was six parts similar to Leyton's, and his complexion was darker, which was related to his frequent travels.
When Leyton saw his father directing the servants to move the goods, a sense of familiarity immediately surged within him.
"Father!" Leyton called out as he approached.
"Hmm? Haha! It's little Leyton! You've grown taller, but you're still so thin. Have you not been eating well alone at home?!" his father chattered, quickly approaching and giving Leyton a warm hug.
This hug made Leyton feel his body's emotions for his father being awakened, as if the other party was not so strange to him anymore.
After the hug, Leyton just smiled shyly and didn't say much. This was how Leyton remembered interacting with his father; there weren't many endless topics between father and son. It was basically one person talking and one person listening, without endless conversations between them.
"Alright! I've prepared hot coffee. Come sit down and rest for a bit. You just rushed back, so don't worry about too many things." His mother, Isabel, walked over with a cup of hot coffee and handed it to his father.
"Okay! Little Leyton, go check and make sure the servants don't put the goods in the wrong places." Father Patch Soss instructed Leyton, then he and Mother Isabel went to the sofa to rest and chat.
"Okay!" Leyton shrugged, no longer paying attention to his father.
Regarding his family, it was probably that his parents were true love, and the child was just an accident.
As long as his father and mother were together, he basically wouldn't receive much attention; they wouldn't have time to bother with him.
However, Leyton himself felt that this was better. Although he had completely adapted to the existence of his family, if they were truly to live together and have intimate contact every day, Leyton felt he would still not be used to it.
"Young Master, these are the gifts Mr. Soss prepared for you and Madam. Do you need them taken to your room?" The butler approached at this moment, interrupting Leyton's thoughts.
"Huh? Gifts? Not yet, just put them in the living room for now." Leyton shook his head slightly after coming back to his senses.
"Yes, Young Master." The butler instructed the servants behind him to move all the gifts his father brought back into the living room.
"Woohoo~ Gifts! Are there any for me?" Bugs Bunny, perched on Leyton's shoulder, excitedly whispered in Leyton's ear.
"Probably not. Father probably didn't know you existed before." Leyton shook his head and said.
"Ah~" Bugs Bunny's mood immediately became downcast.
"It's okay, you can just take one of my gifts then. Besides, Father didn't prepare a gift for you, but Mother definitely did. Maybe it's a custom-made hooded cloak!" Leyton comforted Bugs Bunny.
Leyton was surprised when he first learned that Bugs Bunny's favorite thing was a hooded cloak, and a black one at that.
Every time Leyton saw Bugs Bunny scurrying around in a black cloak, he doubted whether this rabbit was a cultist in its previous life.
