Leyton and Paz stayed in the bedroom until the butler came upstairs to announce that dinner was ready, then Leyton pinched Paz's neck and took him downstairs. Paz raised his cat paw in protest, but was suppressed.

This black cat always dropped the ball when asked crucial questions, and if pressed further, would just say, "I'm just a cat."

Tonight's dinner included a portion of dried fish, which seemed to have been added at the last minute. It was probably because the butler had told Aunt Sally that there was a freeloading black cat in the house, so she added a portion of dried fish.

"Sorry for the trouble, Aunt Sally, to specially add a dish at the last minute." Leyton picked up a piece of dried fish and put it on Paz's plate. Paz's place was on Leyton's left-hand side, and his plate was a large white porcelain plate, probably a fruit plate, which was temporarily used as Paz's tableware.

"These are some dried sea fish that were stocked up before. Sally just processed them a little, it's not troublesome. These were originally intended to be eaten this winter, so I bought a lot. Sharing some with this black cat won't make a difference," the butler always explained things very well.

"Well, it shouldn't be staying for too long," Leyton nodded.

If what Paz said earlier was correct, then the matter in the hospital was definitely not as simple as it seemed. The Church of the God of Knowledge of Wisdom's power in Madan was not enough to handle this matter, and the Church of the Earth Mother must be notified as soon as possible to deal with this problem. That clown turned from an ordinary person into a Sequence 5 powerhouse in just one month, and in a few more days, he might become a demigod.

After finishing dinner absentmindedly, Leyton casually made up an excuse, saying that he hadn't slept well last night and wanted to rest early today, so he told the butler not to disturb him later. Then, he took Paz to the second floor and threw Paz on the ground, telling him to stay there by himself.

The master bedroom on the second floor has a large balcony, but this bedroom is Leyton's parents' room, although they may not even live in it a few times a year. Leyton opened the door of the master bedroom and went to the balcony. Leyton wanted to see if he could find the crow that liked to stand on the street lamp. Today, when Leyton returned from the Executor Squad, he didn't see the crow appear, and he was a little unsure if the other party had come over now.

On the balcony on the second floor, Leyton looked around several times and withdrew his gaze in disappointment.

"What are you looking for?" A low, hoarse voice, impossible to determine the gender, sounded from the hanging chair behind Leyton.

Leyton didn't turn his head, but darted forward two steps before turning around. One hand reached for the pistol at his waist, while the other hand clenched the small metal box containing bronze phosphorus in his pocket.

The scene that Leyton imagined, of a person wearing a red tailcoat, a tall red top hat, and an exaggerated, comical clown smile on his face, sitting on the hanging chair and quietly watching Leyton, did not appear.

Only a crow with one wing and some red feathers on its legs and head stood on the back of the hanging chair, its gilded eyes quietly watching him.

"Phew~" Leyton breathed a sigh of relief. However, he didn't completely relax. Although he knew that guns wouldn't have any effect on the other party, he still held the gun in his hand. As long as the other party made any unusual movements, he would immediately draw the gun and shoot. He didn't need the bullet to hit the other party, he just needed to transmit the gunshot.

"When did you stand here?" Leyton tentatively asked.

"I've always been here, you just didn't notice," the crow just opened its mouth, but didn't speak, but the voice directly echoed in Leyton's mind.

At this time, Leyton noticed that he didn't seem to have heard the sound just now. The sound was directly echoing in his mind, but he was too shocked and panicked to notice these details.

"I remember there was clearly nothing here just now, psychological stealth?" Leyton tentatively asked.

"That's not important, are you looking for me?" The crow in front of him shook its head, and the other party's voice continued to echo in Leyton's mind, the other party's tone becoming very firm.

"Yes," Leyton honestly nodded, and then told the story he had just learned from Paz.

The expression on the face of the crow opposite him gradually became serious. Leyton didn't know how he could see an expression on a crow's face.

"I can't handle this matter, I'm just a crow," the crow opposite him said.

Leyton's face became strange, feeling that this had become the catchphrase of these magical animals.

"Then go and notify the Church of the Earth Mother?" Leyton tentatively asked.

"No, no, meow!" Paz didn't know when he discovered the situation here and ran over.

"Why not?" Leyton stared at Paz's cat face and asked, this cat still had something he hadn't told him.

Leyton's gaze at Paz became dangerous. The crow on the side also watched the little cat that had jumped out with interest. It had seen this cat last night, when it led a group of cat minions into a hallucination and chased the stray dogs everywhere to beat them up. Paz was a little scared by Leyton and the crow's gaze, and his tail stood up.

"Meow~ I don't know either, it's just that Eliza and Zorn mentioned when chatting that there was something that couldn't be discovered by the Church of the Earth Mother, so the Church of the Earth Mother can't be notified." After struggling for a while, Paz still compromised, saying that Leyton might really not tell the Church of the Earth Mother about this matter. If he didn't say it, he might be thrown to the clown by this terrible human in front of him and made into cat meat pie.

Leyton turned his head to see the reaction of the big shot disguised as a crow on the side, but unfortunately, Leyton couldn't understand the expression of a bird.

"Alright!" Leyton nodded, appeasing Paz. In any case, the captain had definitely notified the Church of the Earth Mother. Notifying them again would only make them take the matter more seriously. The people of the Church of the Earth Mother weren't stupid; they probably already suspected something.

Leyton shifted his gaze back to the crow perched on the back of the swing chair, carefully asking, "Are you the person from the Church of the God of Knowledge of Wisdom secretly protecting me?"

This was Leyton's guess. This crow had seemed to be following him since yesterday afternoon when he received the bronze phosphorus from the captain. So far, it didn't seem to have any malice towards him. Moreover, based on what Paz had said earlier, it was likely the one who scared away the clown last night.

"No, I only sensed a familiar aura on you and made some predictions, so I've been observing you from around here," the crow's words were completely different from what Leyton had expected.

Just as he was about to ask what the familiar aura was, Leyton saw the crow's originally gilded eyes turn pure white, with faint blue fluorescent light flowing around them. Leyton stood there, unsure of what was happening, and could only quietly wait for the crow's next reaction.

After a while, the white color in the crow's eyes faded, and the surrounding fluorescent light gradually dimmed. The crow looked at Leyton, its expressionless face seeming heavy, its gaze quite solemn.

"I saw a prophecy!" The crow's deep, hoarse, and gender-neutral voice echoed in Leyton's mind.

"What prophecy?" Leyton's eyes lit up, feeling a sense of hope.

"Take this cat to that hospital now. There will be additional developments, and the story might have a better ending," the crow's voice continued to echo in Leyton's mind.

"Meow! Why are you staring at that crow? You're even talking to yourself in front of it. It can't even talk, meow~" Paz looked at Leyton strangely, as if looking at an idiot.

Leyton directly reached out and hugged Paz, who was beside him.

"What are you doing, meow! I already have an owner. You can't just touch me," Paz thought Leyton wanted to pet him and struggled in his arms.

"Do me a favor and send me downstairs," Leyton said to the crow standing on the back of the swing chair while holding Paz.

The crow flapped its wings and flew up from the back of the chair, then flew straight into the night sky. Leyton was stunned. Just as he was about to say something, his vision blurred. When Leyton's vision returned, he saw that the scene around him had changed from the second-floor balcony to the street below.

After a moment of shock, Leyton held the black cat Paz in his arms and ran quickly towards the other side of White Maple Street, where he could catch a carriage.

"Meow~ Meow! What are you doing? Where are you going? You can't take me back to the hospital. The clown will eat me," Paz struggled in his arms, trying to escape.

"Shut up and listen to me. Do you still want to save your master, Eliza? She might be in danger now. The people from the Church of the Earth Mother have known about the hospital for a long time," Leyton casually made up a reason.

"What? How is that possible? If they knew, they would have rushed into the hospital long ago. No way, meow~" Paz didn't believe Leyton's words.

"Why is it impossible? Think about how many things have happened at the hospital recently. This is Feynapotter, the territory of the Church of the Earth Mother. How could they not know? They've just been observing in secret, waiting for the right moment," Leyton said, expressing his speculation about why the Church of the Earth Mother hadn't appeared in this incident.

"How could this be? Humans are so cunning! Meow! I'm going to notify Eliza now. We need to leave Feynapotter," Paz agreed with Leyton's words, but struggled even more vigorously. Leyton was caught off guard and Paz broke free. Paz immediately prepared to run away after landing.

"Don't run yet. Have you forgotten that the clown is also in the hospital? You stupid cat! The most important thing for you now is to follow me and be my assistant. We'll sneak into the hospital together while taking advantage of the chaos, instead of going one by one to deliver heads, including cat heads," Leyton finally managed to fool the cat. Although the cat was likely only Sequence 9, its combat power was definitely stronger than his own, a Sequence 8 who wasn't good at fighting. How could Leyton let it slip away? He had to keep it by his side as a bodyguard.

"Then hurry, meow," Paz said anxiously.

"Wait for me to hail a carriage. There are fewer carriages in the city at this time. It's really troublesome. It would be great if you could turn into a big cat," Leyton looked at Paz's ordinary adult blue cat size and shook his head with slight regret.

"What terrible thing are you thinking, meow!" Paz felt a chill and bristled on the spot, staring warily at Leyton.

"I was wondering if you could contact your Cat Commando and have them scout out some information first," Leyton said nonsense without changing his expression.

"No, that clown is too scary. Several of my Cat Commando cats have been brutally killed by him. I can't let my Cat Commando cats risk their lives," Paz shook his head, rejecting Leyton's suggestion.

"But I can ask the nearby cats and big dogs after we get there. They should know some information," Paz thought about how his master was still waiting for him to rescue her, and said after thinking for a while.

Leyton didn't reply, picked up the black cat that was following beside him, and quickly ran to a carriage parked at the intersection ahead.
