My Yandere Wives are Transcendents

Chapter 429: Revelation Part-1

"I thought you guys were leaving this morning?" Mariel asked as she looked at Eli, Scylla, and even Scarlet following her expectantly, her eyebrows raised in curiosity.

"That was the plan, but it changed somehow," Eli answered with a smile, his eyes scanning the group with a hint of mischief.

"Did you inform your professor?"

"I did," Eli replied.

"What did she say?"

"She said if I don't come tomorrow, she will make me repeat this year," Eli explained, a playful chuckle escaping his lips.

"Hahaha... that teacher is something else," Mariel laughed, shaking her head in amusement.

"Yeah... She's one hell of a teacher," Eli said with a smirk, his mind briefly drifting to the awkward moment when she had tried to kiss him. He hadn't heard anything about Rock lately, so he figured he might as well pay him a visit tomorrow.

Soon, they arrived at the Capital of the Kingdom and entered the grand castle, its imposing walls towering above them.

"Where is the King?" Mariel asked, her eyes scanning the bustling scene of maids and servants going about their duties.

"He is in the throne room" The Maids answered.

.....

...

Lucian sat on the throne, his fingers anxiously biting at his nails as the image of Asher Eli besting him played in his mind like a relentless recorder. No matter how much time had passed, Lucian could not forget those humiliating beatings.... a king, a ruler, being bested by a mortal was an utter disgrace.

"Today, I am going to teach that insolent bitch a lesson," Lucian muttered through gritted teeth, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and determination. He recalled how Mariel had refused to aid him, despite the Vampire Queen's pressure and her position as one of his subordinates. Shouldn't she, as a powerful magic user, have at least supported him when he needed it most?

"Your Majesty, Duchess Mariel requests an audience," a guard announced, interrupting Lucian's thoughts.

"She finally came... ah," Lucian smirked wickedly, nodding to allow her entry into the throne room.

"Thud"

As the door swung open, Mariel entered with a demeanour of seriousness and grace, gracefully kneeling before him. "Good Morning, Your Majesty," she greeted respectfully.

"Tsk, you can skip the pleasantries. I didn't summon you for that," Lucian dismissed, his tone laced with arrogance. "Let's get straight to the point. Since you disobeyed your king's orders when he needed you, I hereby decree your removal from the Duchess position." He had a haughty smile as if he had succeeded in something.

Mariel simply nodded, her expression remaining composed. "I understand. Is this decision related to the incident where you were brutally bea-- ahem I am defeated by a mortal?"

"YOU!" Lucian's anger flared as he glared at Mariel, his voice rising with indignation. "How dare you utter those words in my presence?!"

He really wanted to teach this bitch a lesson but she was stronger than him!!

"Tsk," Lucian clicked his tongue in frustration, realizing Mariel's resilience. However, he was not deterred. Stepping down from her position would not be the end of his efforts. Lucian was determined to do anything to corner her, to push her into despair, much like he had been pushed by Eli.

Mariel couldn't help but wear an amused expression as she watched Lucian act like a petulant child. However, she kept her thoughts to herself, knowing that this was not the time for jests and more importantly...

"What do you mean, Father?" a voice suddenly erupted as a figure strode into the throne chamber.

"Rose?" Lucian frowned at the sight of his eldest daughter's stern expression.

"If Mariel steps down, then who will be next in line? Have you made arrangements for that position?" Rose's tone held a mix of concern and authority.

Lucian flinched at the question. He had only thought about Mariel stepping down; the future of the position had not crossed his mind. His thoughts were clouded with memories of Eli defeating him so thoroughly.

"I...I don't care—" Lucian started to speak, but Rose interrupted him.

"Father..... You are behaving like a child," Rose stated firmly, disappointment evident in her voice.

Lucian's eyes widened at his daughter's words, 'I-Is She's looking down on me!' he thought with a pang of wounded pride.

Instead of acknowledging his mistake, Lucian adopted a pathetic expression, "Th-that's not something you should say. You are the one acting like a child by not marrying your brother!"

Rose and Mariel exchanged looks of deeper disappointment, realizing the extent of Lucian's emotional state, 'He's truly broken' they both thought in unison.

.....

...

Meanwhile, Eli wandered through the palace, Peeking into empty rooms, he sighed in frustration, 'Where is that man?' he muttered to himself.

As he moved to another room in search of.... Lucian's son.
Your next journey awaits at empire

After entering the palace, Mariel assured him that she would handle the situation inside. She knew Eli well enough to predict that he might act recklessly if he saw Lucian in such a state. So, she instructed him to wait outside with Scylla and Scarlet until she resolved matters within.

However, what Mariel didn't know was that Eli's focus had shifted entirely. Lucian and his affairs were no longer of interest to him; there was only one person he sought, someone who had not yet seen him or even heard his name. He entrusted Scylla and Scarlet to search for Lucian's son, knowing that they would be discreet and thorough in their search.

Scylla and Scarlet nodded in understanding, their expressions filled with amusement and curiosity as they set out to check every room, skillfully avoiding the guards' notice.

"Hmm?" Eli frowned as he entered a particular room within the palace.

Recognizing the room's owner, Eli's curiosity piqued, and he began to examine the surroundings with keen eyes.

Opening a drawer, he found an assortment of clothing—a mix of older women's dresses and younger girls' attire. Eli couldn't help but wonder about the odd assortment of sizes and styles.

"Why would she have these sizes?" Eli muttered to himself as he sifted through the dresses, searching for any clues or favourites among them.... it was then his eyes fell on something. His attention was soon drawn to a book with bloody fingerprints on its cover.

"Hmm?" Eli's frown deepened as he picked up the book, a sense of unease settling over him. He knew he shouldn't pry into someone else's belongings, but there was something about the book that intrigued him....the adult-sized bloody fingerprints added an ominous air.

"Should I...?" Eli hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether to delve further. Eventually, He shook his head and decided to put the book back. Just as he was about to return it to its place, a small slip of paper fell out.

Eli stared at the white paper, its surface marred by drops of blood that seemed to seep into his very thoughts.... his eyes were automatically drawn towards the content..... His eyes widened in shock as he muttered,

"Mariel..... A-Aurora?"
