Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Dreaming Again_1
Chi Zaozao's stubbornness made Tang Wanyuan feel helpless. As she was reviewing her lessons, he had no choice but to leave resentfully.
Nine o'clock at night!
Ye Que returned! After having a few drinks, his head felt a bit dizzy. He greeted his parents who were watching TV in the living room, then went upstairs to take a shower.
After the shower, he collapsed onto his bed and slept straight through until morning.
He had completely forgotten the task he had entrusted to Chi Zaozao.
And Chi Zaozao really did finish the homework he assigned, spending the entire evening sitting at her desk waiting for him to come back and check her work.
But when he didn't show up all night, she fell asleep at the desk.
Ye Que, neatly dressed, walked out of his room the next morning and only remembered her when he passed by Chi Zaozao's room.
He abruptly stopped at the door of her room, hesitated for probably two minutes, then pushed the door open and went in.
In the early morning, the warm sunlight filtered through the glass window, casting a golden glow into the room.
Chi Zaozao lay with her face on the desk, sleeping peacefully. Her long eyelashes, like the wings of a small bird, were gentle and beautiful, quietly resting below her eyes.
Her small face, the size of a palm, was pale and tender yet exquisitely crafted like an artist's finest work, visually pleasing and intriguing.
From her occasionally pursing small mouth, a somewhat heavy breath was emitted. Her brows were furrowed, and her little face was turning slightly red.
Ye Que watched her without a sound, his gaze moving downward, noticing that she was wriggling restlessly.
And at that moment, the still sleeping Chi Zaozao murmured, "Mmm... Husband..."
"..." Ye Que looked at her, his face suddenly darkening.
She... was dreaming!
"Mmm... Brother Ye Que!"
As if set free, the dreaming Chi Zaozao suddenly exhaled, relaxing completely, with her little face a rosy hue as if brushed with rouge.
Then, she gradually woke up, not seeing Ye Que at first. She only felt uncomfortable.
She couldn't quite believe it, had she again...?
"Damn it, another wet dream?" she muttered to herself, standing up intending to go to the bathroom, but then she suddenly froze as if stiffened, standing there motionless.
Indeed, as soon as she got up, she saw Ye Que standing beside her.
She couldn't bear to think about the words she just spoke and the actions she just made, all witnessed by this man.
Looking at his expressionless face, she felt her breathing quicken, a sense of having nowhere to hide.
She had no place to put her face!
Perhaps sensing her embarrassment, Ye Que didn't point it out and picked up the homework on her desk, glancing at it casually.
"Since you're finished with it, then hurry down for breakfast; it's almost time for class!" he said, then turned and left.
Chi Zaozao stared blankly at his departing figure, staying stunned for quite a while without coming to her senses.
When did he come to her room? Could it be she did something really shameful in front of him?
Chi Zaozao became suddenly frantic, wishing she could bash her head in.
It was bad enough to fantasize about him normally, but now to act out those lowly deeds in front of him— he must despise her, right?
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!
She was going crazy, irritably tugging at her own hair.
Realizing she had to rush to school, she quickly went to the bathroom to clean up. Too embarrassed to face him for breakfast, she grabbed her backpack and ran off.
