Fireborn ran toward the two while running Mike summoned Strike Bite and Pack his magic was almost completely used up Strike and Pack jumped directly at Fireborn but they were split in two within seconds

Bite and Shadow attacked

Bite jumped at Fireborn but was slammed straight into the ground Shadow struck Fireborn parried and countered he stabbed from the side Shadow could not dodge then Fireborn stabbed ten times in a row rapidly into Shadow

Shadow dissolved

Mike could now either summon Shadow again or do a Wolfstrike

Because S rank summons cost endurance and magic

Normal summons cost only magic

Wolfstrike costs endurance but if he summoned Shadow he would have none left so he decided to fight alone for now

Surrounded by rubble Mike and Fireborn looked into each other's eyes Mikes thoughts were

Fireborn teleported next to Mike and struck Mike dodged downwards Fireborn kicked but Mike stopped the kick by slicing off Fireborns foot which regrew but now in a more dragonlike scaly form then Fireborn grabbed Mike and punched him rapidly in the stomach and finally kicked him Mike planted his feet into the ground to avoid being knocked away then he saw Fireborn and the golden aura around him Fireborn took his own sword and cut off his own head

But a dragon head grew back and wings appeared from Fireborns back he flew straight toward Mike and screamed

Stupid wolf stop moving

Mike ran away

Mike jumped over rubble under rubble set rubble in the way but Fireborn smashed through it or flew over it

Then he stood on a piece of rubble Mike was under Fireborn then Fireborn did a dive attack toward Mike but Mike did not move he did not dodge and just as Fireborn was about to hit Mike Mike jumped directly toward Fireborn the two crashed into each other is Mike insane

He screamed AHHGHHG WOLFFFF STRIKEEEEEEE

He hit Fireborn right in the face a shockwave nearly destroyed the entire area Fireborn was launched into the sky far up he was unconscious Mike used his last bit of magic energy to dash into the air he grabbed Fireborn and slammed him into the ground then Mike drew his sword Fireborn woke up again broke free from Mikes grip but in the confusion did not see the sword he flew at Mike again and Mike sliced straight through Fireborn with his sword

Right through Fireborn

He fell apart in two halves

But then he did not fall the two halves rejoined and he healed but his eyes were completely black

Then he spoke

Me and the king made a deal if I fail twice then… Fireborn aimed at his own heart

But Fireborn did not go through with it

He threw his sword away and said

Mike

You cannot even defeat me how will you defeat the king

Then Fireborn stood still his eyes turned white

Then black again

The king is waiting the three generals are waiting the beast is waiting

My son you are weak let me help you through Fireborn

Fireborn changed his voice

He said very well the king forgives me for not becoming king of the humans he says I must give everything in battle so be it

Fireborn picked up his sword from the ground and aimed it directly at Mike

But Mike knew that Fireborns dragon body cannot die unless the heart is destroyed cutting off the head does not work slicing him in two does not work the heart must be hit yes

Mike dashed forward and Fireborn too they clashed with their swords

Fireborn flew and Mike sprinted after him he jumped onto Fireborn

Mike punched Fireborn over and over again then he grabbed Fireborn and threw him into the air Mike slashed Fireborns wings within seconds then he stabbed Fireborns heart Fireborns last words were

You foolish boy but I have to admit you have become strong very well but the first general is five times stronger than me

He… he stopped speaking and sank to his knees

Forgive me king…

Fireborn fell to the ground

Mike stood over Fireborn

Mikes sword covered in blood his hands too he looked around everything was destroyed he saw the portals closing one by one Mike staggered back and forth then his eyes closed

When he woke up again it was dark he was exactly at the place where he had fought Fireborn

But Fireborn was gone Mike turned to his side and lay on his back
