My Wolf System -Rank-S

Chapter 51: 5 months Training

"I swear it."

Then the wound healed, but a red aura surrounded it.

Then Wol spoke from the side:

"He swears, Mike. If he breaks this oath, it will unleash a curse that will turn him to ash. We can trust him."

Mike drew his dragon sword.

"Come, Shadow and Wol, let's train."

Mike was currently level 68.

And so the days passed, then the weeks.

"Alright Shadow, now it's your turn."

Shadow attacked, Mike parried the attack.

And finally, months went by:

After 1 month: level 69

After 2 months: level 74

After 3 months: level 79

In the 4th month, Mike was in an SS portal — but that's not worth mentioning.

At level 84, he was appointed from wolf to Wolf King.

And in the final month, he reached level 89.

He had become so much stronger — and indeed, Shadow had truly become a companion.

But while Mike was ready to fight, he wasn't ready for the goodbyes.

He said farewell to Wol…

…and stepped out of the portal.

He appeared back on his bed — in his apartment.

Then he ran his hand through his hair and got dressed.

This time, real time had passed — not like in the first Safe Forest.

He walked to the base… only to be immediately restrained by 30 Sals.

The moment they caught him, chaos broke out across the entire base.

But Mike's eyes were locked on someone else, even as he was thrown to the ground…

5 months earlier…

Giel, Kad, and Has were sitting in Mike's apartment, talking.

"Lasa's been unconscious for three days now," Kad said.

Giel replied, "Yeah, no surprise — she got hit full force. It's normal to be out for that long."

Has added, "I'll make sure everything's cozy for her when she wakes up."

Then Giel snapped,

"No chance. She still belongs to Mike."

Has shot back,

"Who knows if she even wants Mike anymore after what happened—"

Kad suddenly charged at Has.

"Hey, you jerk! What do you think you're saying?" Has yelled, trying to block him.

Kad shouted,

"Don't talk about Mike like that! He's our ally. He's part of MY FAMILY — AND YOURS TOO — AND GIEL'S."

His voice softened…

"We've been through so much together…"

"Pull yourself together and get those feelings for Lasa out of your head."

Has stuck out his tongue.

"Nope. Not gonna happen. I'm going to buy her roses now."

Giel looked over at Kad and said,

"Let him go. That idiot doesn't stand a chance anyway."

A few days later, Lasa woke up.

Giel got a call — in the middle of the night — from a doctor.

He was still awake, watching late-night TV when the phone rang.

"GUYS!!" he yelled. "She's awake!!"

They rushed out immediately.

Has screamed, "Finally!! She's awake!!!"

He packed an entire suitcase full of roses, perfume, and hearts, then sprinted out.

Giel and Kad ran too, without wasting a second.

At the hospital, they were greeted by the doctors and escorted to Lasa's room.

Lasa lay there… looking fragile and helpless.

Just seeing her like that hurt Kad deeply.

Then — her lips moved.

"G-guys? W-what happened?"

Has jumped in to speak:

"Mike—"

But Giel quickly covered Has' mouth.

He whispered, "She doesn't remember. We can't do that to Mike. Should we lie to her?"

Kad nodded. Has didn't.

Still, Giel answered calmly:

"You were hit by a magical blast when Mike lost control… Do you remember anything?"

Lasa slowly nodded.

"Y-yeah… he changed… but it's all blurry. I remember being hit by some kind of ma—"

Has suddenly shoved Giel and Kad aside.

"NO! That's wrong! They're lying!"

"Mike almost beat you to death."

Lasa looked confused.

"W-what…?"

From the floor, Giel shouted:

"YOU IDIOT!"

But Has continued:

"I'm sorry, Lasa… but Mike probably hates you now."

Lasa snapped:

"Y-you dare say something like that to me!?"

Has tried to calm her:

"Relax, I just—"

Then Shadow stepped into the room.

He was two heads taller than everyone else inside.

He spoke with a deep voice:

"I was sent by Mike Tyl. He offers his apology…"

"…to Lasa. I also have a letter."

The moment Shadow entered, they all felt his overwhelming aura.

From the floor, Giel whispered to Kad,

"Bro… it feels like we're being crushed…"

Kad nodded silently.

Lasa reached out and took the letter.

"Thank you," she said softly.

Shadow nodded back.

"I was also told to deliver this message:

Mike is ready to see you again.

But… he believes you're not ready."

Lasa said quickly,

"Wait

But he vanished into thin air.

She looked at the pink envelope and slowly opened it.

Inside, it read:

Hi Lasa,

I want to apologize a thousand times.

But in the end… even one time should be enough.

That's why I wrote you this letter.

You are the most wonderful and beautiful girl I've ever known — and ever will know.

Your eyes… so bright.

Your hair… it shines like starlight.

You're the best.

I'm sorry…

for almost killing you.

If — and only if — you're ready…

I'll be back in 5 months.

I love you.

— Mike

Lasa started to cry.

Her tears soaked into the letter.

She looked out the window and whispered:

"Oh Mike…

if only you knew…

I love you too — so much."
