It was slowly getting light again. Mike looked at his phone and turned it on.

Mike glanced at the time.

Then questions shot through his mind.

Was I to blame??

No.

Why?

Then Mike screamed,

Why, El, did you interfere!!???

Mike cried.

Whaaa—yyy

Then his hand turned into a claw. Whyyyyy.

Half of his face transformed into that of a wolf.

Then an aura appeared around him.

Then a Sal at the base said,

"Do you feel that too? A portal? It must be a portal.

And by its strength, it's an S-rank portal. Let's go check… THE PORTAL IS MOVING."

It was Mike. He had half transformed into a wolf, and the humanity inside him was… gone?

He screamed around him, WHYYYYY…

And he cut through all the trees in his path. Then he slammed into the ground — everything crashed down.

Sals were there.

At least 40 of them.

They formed a circle around Mike.

Then one shouted, "Hey kid, do you hear me??

What are you???"

Mike just snarled, then he chopped off the Sal's head.

Five more followed, lightning-fast.

He growled, "No!

Leave me ALONE!"

He swung around wildly, but one Sal recognized him.

"Sir, isn't that a student from here?" one Sal asked another.

Then the other said, "Yeah, that's right. It's Mike — the S-rank."

"Oh no, what happened to him? He's not human anymore?"

Then Mike slammed the Sal into the ground.

He grabbed another one and threw him against three trees.

Mike screamed:

"I'M NOT GUILTY!!"

Then Mike turned,

punched another Sal straight in the face—

he went flying.

One of them yelled:

"Binding magic!"

Four chains rose from the ground,

shooting straight at Mike.

But Mike didn't dodge.

He let them come.

Just as they were about to wrap around him,

he grabbed two of the chains—

and snapped them like twigs.

The other two, he held tightly—

and hurled them back.

The chains hit the Sal—

he vanished on impact.

Then Mike leapt into the air—

and slammed himself into the ground,

triggering a shockwave so powerful

it killed twenty more Sals instantly.

Only a few remained.

Six Sals.

One shouted:

"Get them!"

Another Sal ran for his life.

Mike chased after him,

but suddenly a Sal screamed:

"Please, creature—spare me! I have a wife and chi—"

His head was gone.

No one saw how it happened.

Then Mike dropped onto all fours,

moving like a wolf.

He laughed—

then cried.

Then he said nothing.

He grabbed a Sal by the head—

But then—

he heard familiar voices.

"MIKE!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

It was Lasa, shouting.

Then Has rushed past the remaining Sals and screamed:

"LIGHT BEAM!"

A beam of pure light hit Mike dead on—

but once again, he didn't dodge.

He let it hit him.

Then he sprinted forward,

raised his claws—

and aimed straight for Has—

…but Lasa jumped in between.

Mike struck Lasa

with a full-force blow.

His eyes went wide—

Lasa crashed into four trees,

then rolled further, blood covering her face.

Mike looked down at his claws—

Covered in blood.

Then he ran.

Faster than ever before.

So fast,

he was gone in an instant.

And then—

Silence.

As Mike was running,

the system suddenly opened in front of his eyes.

And slowly—

his mind began to clear.

His human body started to return…

…and with it,

his consciousness.

He stared at the system.

Summoning Unlocked

Mike's breath caught.

Then—

he lost it.

He climbed onto a rooftop,

just as the first rays of sunlight broke through the clouds.

He stared down at his shaking hands.

Then he whispered,

softly… brokenly…

"What have I done…?"

"What have I done…?"

"What have I done…?"
