My Wolf System -Rank-S

Chapter 11: I Have A System

The wolves you summoned during the fight… that wasn't a normal skill, was it?"

Giel's voice was calm, but there was tension beneath it.

"In the simulation, only preset abilities are allowed," he continued. "But your attack… it wasn't programmed in. It was real."

Giel turned to face Mike, his expression serious.

"Mike, I'm not your enemy. But if you're hiding something—whatever it is—you could be in danger. We all could."

Mike took a deep breath. The words stuck in his throat, heavy and uncertain. Then, he whispered:

"I… sometimes receive quests. Like in a video game. I don't know why. I don't know who gives them to me. But they give me powers."

Giel raised his eyebrows, frowning.

"A system? In your head?"

"Or in my body. I'm not sure."

Silence settled between them again. Giel was clearly trying to process what he had just heard.

"And the wolves?"

Mike nodded.

"A skill. I got it… after a battle. Against trolls. Not here… I was teleported."

Giel stood up, walked a few paces, then turned around.

"That's not a normal ability, Mike. That's something… different. Maybe even dangerous."

"I know."

"Have you told anyone else?"

Mike shook his head.

"Only you."

Giel looked at him for a long moment, then closed his eyes briefly.

"Then it'll stay that way. As long as I know you're on our side."

He started to walk away. After a few steps, he added without looking back:

"And Mike… thank you. For trusting me."

Mike remained where he was, alone now. His gaze drifted toward the night sky.

"What… am I?" he whispered.

Then, as if answering himself, he looked down and nodded.

"I just want to understand what I am."

In Mikes room

"I told Giel something earlier. But now… I think you all should know."

Lasa raised an eyebrow.

"What's going on?"

Mike hesitated for a second. Then, with steady eyes, he spoke:

"I have a system. Like in a game. I get quests. And when I complete them… I get stronger. Skills. Stats. Even items."

Kad blinked.

"Wait… what? Are you joking?"

"I'm not."

Mike held out his hand. A faint glow shimmered around his fingers for a moment.

"I didn't know how to explain it before. But it's real."

Giel nodded.

"He's telling the truth. I saw it during our simulation match. His abilities weren't preloaded. They were his."

Lasa crossed her arms, watching Mike carefully.

"And these quests? Where do they come from?"

"I don't know," Mike said.

"I just get messages. Like from some unseen entity. And when I accept them, I'm pulled into… places. Fights. Challenges. When I return, I've changed. Stronger."

Kad sat down slowly.

"That's insane. And kind of awesome. But also… terrifying."

Mike looked around the room.

"I'm not telling you this because I want praise. I'm telling you because if something happens to me, or if this… system… ever turns on me, I don't want to take you down with me."

Lasa exhaled slowly.

"You're taking a risk telling us this. But… it also means you trust us."

"I do."

Giel stepped forward.

"Then we'll watch your back. Together."

Kad grinned faintly.

"Guess we've got a main character on our team."
